We focus on quality, sampling the finest and only selecting the best: our range is small but carefully chosen, seeking out tea-gardens and farmers crafting the most delicious leaves. We are extremely lucky and proud to work with unique farms producing extraordinary tea.
Some of our tea is very rare, with only a few kilos produced each year. Others can be grown on a larger scale. All of our tea is crafted by skilled men and women on independent farms, not industrially processed by large agribusinesses. We buy harvests from farmers, not a commodity from brokers.

I hope to one day get to participate in one of the online sessions to learn about various teas, etc (these usually happen on a day & at a time that I need to work.

The only negative was having to receive the order from USA. I would prefer supporting the UK rather than the US.

absolutely inrivalled
I have to thank my daughter-in-law, who offered me some Rare Tea Earl Grey when she came to visit me in Switzerland, where I live. The aroma and flavour are absolutely unrivalled. Since then, I can’t drink tea from another brand, as it seems bland in comparison. Despite the postage and customs charges for Switzerland, I will definitely buy some more because I simply can’t do without it. I bought the refills, as I already have the metal tin, and I think that’s a really clever and eco-friendly idea.

Please put brewing recommendations on pack
The quality and variety of tea is excellent. My sole gripe is that I have to use my phone or computer to find out recommended brewing times and temperatures. I don't have my phone constantly on me, and even if I did it's extra friction to get it out, fire up the camera and scan the code, or type in the URL. The code is individual to each tea, as is the tea name so you're doing special printing for each tea. Just print the temperature and brewing time on the pack instead of the code; it should be no extra work for you and much simpler for me. I've taken to writing temperature and time on the pack with a freezer pen so that I only need to faff around with my phone once. It's still annoying.

And everyone here is keen on it except for our very small operations team who make all the labels in between all the sourcing and importing of teas from our very many partner farms. No podría elegir porque cada uno tiene su singularidad, (y ¿para qué elegir si hay un momento para cada uno?) pero la delicadeza del Silver Tip White me parece excepcional. Rare teas with even rarer customer service
The rare tea company is definitely on a mission to bring rare tea to the masses. I subscribed to them after listening to an episode of APM Splendid table that featured the founder Henrietta. Her passion for the teas drove me to purchase a subscription for 6 months. While I enjoyed the first box, the second tin was not to my satisfaction. Primarily, the instructions for the infusion are hard to find. This was reported and resolved by the Rare tea team. I'm convinced that they are doing their best to make rare teas accessible to those of us trying to understand it. Given the excellent customer care, which is a rarity, I'm sure to be back to try one more tins and they will make great gifts. It's nice to see a company stand behind it's products and mission, for that I give them a five star rating.

Lovely glass teapot
Purchased a lovely glass teapot very impressed with it and the quick delivery time, Just slightly disappointed that the strainer that came with it didn’t stop the loose tea so had a cup of tea with leaves in :-( so may just use it for tea bags or mint leaves

We are sorry to hear about your issues with residual tea leaves. With regards to the straining properties of this particular teapot, the spiral strainer filters out some larger, whole leaf teas such as a rolled oolong. However, we do recommend that for finer cuts of tea, it is best to use our Overcup Strainer.
We would love to help you have a more pleasant drinking experience - tailoring this for the specific loose leaf tea you like to drink. We would hate for this teapot to be demoted to teabag use.
