Lovely stay at the Boot Room. Great attention to detail. My husband and I and our Labrador felt welcome from the moment we arrived. A large basket of dog toys, a jar full of dog treats and bowls helped. Also delicious flapjacks for us humans.Great to have the large enclosed courtyard to sit out in and three fields in which our dog could chase his ball safely to his hearts content. There was a large paddling pool in the courtyard which our Labrador loved and kept him cool in the hot weather. The surrounding area was great for dog walks and plenty of dog friendly places to eat. Janet and her husband were very friendly and were on hand for any questions or information we needed but also allowed us our privacy. We hope to return soon.

Owners we're so nice to the dog. The big enclosed garden was loved by our dog. She likes being able to sit with us on the couches. And we apreciated the bin for the dog waste

This was our first time using Paws and Stay and it did not disappoint, the cabin (stibbs hollow farm, Torrington) was exactly what we were hoping for in a quiet countryside setting, the rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The grounds were better than we could have imagined, an enclosed garden and the adjacent field was huge (also enclosed) for our dog and children to run around. The location was in a great spot for day trips and stargazing (we saw so many shooting stars!)
The only thing that would make it better for us would've been electric vehicle charging on site but with a little planning it was perfectly manageable.
The owners and their dogs were also lovely with considerate touches from the welcome basket, dog treats and comprehensive guide to the local area.
Overall a fab little break and one we'd definitely consider a return visit.

Absolute Dog Heaven! We had the best stay here, and it’s safe to say our dogs loved it just as much as we did (if not more!). The host, Jenny, was wonderful-she kept in touch throughout our stay, giving us great local tips and making sure we had everything we needed to feel right at home. The cabin itself is wonderfully cosy and full of character. The space around the cabin is fantastic for dogs to stretch their legs safely, with wide-open grass, big blue skies, and lovely outdoor seating areas where we could sit back and enjoy the views. Highlights for the pups were definitely the open fields to explore and the nearby river to cool off in-they had an absolute blast splashing around in the clear water! If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway where your furry friends are genuinely welcomed, this is it. Thank you, Jenny! We’ll definitely be back.

Set up for dogs, no silly restrictions. Great dog beds, towels, welcome treats. We remembered all our dog equipment but everything was provided in case we forgot anything. Private enclosed areas just for your own dogs were great.

The owners, who welcomed us personally, have provided the perfect holiday venue for dogs and owners alike, in an absolutely stunning and idyllic rural setting on their family estate. Facilities include: wood-burning fireplace, wood-fired hot tub next to the large veranda, outdoor cooking, outdoor sofas, dog washing facilities, a pet hamper with blankets, treats etc. Long line to secure pets in a wonderful wooded south-facing garden. Luxury bathroom products, towels and robes and home made bread and jam with homegrown eggs. Acres of unspoilt countryside walks available onsite; but also complete privacy at the amazing log cabin itself. It truly is a magical place to stay, and we can’t wait for our next visit.

Booking was easy and the host contacted us before our stay and was available throughout. The garden was entirely enclosed and very safe. Also free to explore the gardens of the owners property and nearby woodland. Very spacious and well equipped house. Lovely.

We loved our stay at the Hazel Hide, the cabin was well set up for humans, comfy beds and soft towels. Treats for dogs on arrival too. Dogs are allowed on the sofa with the throw provided. The massive bonus was the 7 acres of enclosed field perfect for the dogs to explore. We loved staying here - humans and dogs did not want to leave! Great local beaches, walks and a pub too.

stayed at fern near Wooler for 6 nights from 18/7. everything looked fine on arrival, however the following morning there was bird poo on the glass doors ,handles and on the decking as well as on the doormat. No sign of anything to clean this up so used baby wipes on the door handles. We discovered there is a swallow's nest above the doors and had 2 fledgelings in the nest. A lot of feeding activity seen.and alot of mess building up Contacted JANE AND ASKED FOR CLEANING BUCKET AND CLEANING MATERIALS as we expected a visit from friends the following day.Was told that the items would be delivered later in the day. These did arrive and had been left just inside our gate. Nobody came to look at the ongoing problem or offer to do the cleaning. There were no Marigold gloves left nor any disinfectant. That early evening I spent some time cleaning and scrubbing everywhere affected and had to repeat this the following morning.After our visit from our friends I tried to leave a message on Jane's phone to express my dissatisfaction. She later contacted us asking if the birds had affected our stay. A bit of an understatement . We saw this as a health hazard to both ourselves and our dog. and decided to leave that morning; we packed up ,took some photos of the bird poo and returned home . I was not prepared to have to deal with this anymore on what was supposed to be a holiday. We arrived at 15.10 on the Saturday and left at 10am on the following Wednesday.

We stayed at the Hazel Lodge at Cynefin Retreats. Beautiful lodge and setting. Well equipped and ideal for your furry 4 legged children! The garden is big and open, lovely for dogs (if there dont have a habit of wandering off) and the lodge itself is lovely an open, big window doors make it spacious and fresh. The woodland walk nearby is great for a gentle walk through nature. Next to a working farm yard but you don't hear any noise or disruptions. A lovely retreat if you want to get away from the city life.

The Pavillion was, by far, THE best place we've ever stayed. The peace & tranquility and the knowledge that we didn't have to panic if the dog got on the sofa or the bed (throws were used in both cases) led to THE most relaxing and stress free holiday we've ever had. We didn't "want" for anything. Every home comfort was provided for, including bread, butter, milk, eggs, tea, coffee & a few extra bits in the cupboard. And the dog was well catered for too including dog bed, dog towel, food & water bowls & knowing the dog was safe in the thoroughly enclosed garden was a god-send. She's normally very vocal at home, but here surrounded by miles of countryside, she didn't bark once! The Pavillion is surrounded in wildlife & birdsong. We saw rabbits & deer, heard cuckoo's & an abundance of different birds. It was heaven. So good, in fact, that we've booked again for next year already! Something we NEVER normally do!

Easy to book. Property exactly as showcased. Great enclosed garden, plenty of blankets and covers provided for the pooches. A really cosy and homely place to spend time with the family and pooches.

Highly recommend Paws & Staw, we’ve used them twice now. Thoroughly recommend staying at the old potting shed. Walled garden of dreams, having a secure very large garden for our dog to explore was great. The house was lovely, very comfortable and had everything we need. We enjoyed the local area and all scenic walks

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage in Cornwall. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming, peaceful, and immaculately cared for. The cottage itself was spotless, cosy, and full of character, with thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel like a true home away from home.

One of the biggest highlights for us was how dog-friendly the property was. The large 1.8 metre secure fence around the cottage gave us complete peace of mind and allowed our dogs to enjoy the outdoor space safely and freely. It’s rare to find somewhere that genuinely welcomes dogs so warmly, and it made such a difference to our stay.

The location was perfect — quiet and relaxing, yet close enough to explore the stunning Cornish coastline, charming villages, and local pubs. Waking up to the fresh sea air and countryside views each morning was a real highlight.

The hosts were fantastic: friendly, responsive, and clearly passionate about making guests feel comfortable. They provided great recommendations for places to visit and made the whole experience effortless.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, dog-friendly, and memorable Cornwall getaway.

Good website, easy to search and book. Booking confirmation was quick and included everything we needed to know. We had a fantastic stay at Rookham View Lodge - our host, Lyn, was very helpful and attentive, and the lodge was very comfortable and thoughtfully designed. It had everything we needed, and was in a fabulous location with views to die for. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and nearby walks. We hope to be back!

We literally felt like we’d died and gone to heaven on arrival at the beautiful owl house! Every single detail was considered for both us and the doggies.. so wonderful! The owners have thought about the doggies with so much love! We will be back again soon

Stibbs Hollow Cabin was a perfect getaway place which was well set up for dogs and humans alike. We had a wonderful break! The dog wasn't just tolerated but the owners had gone out of their way to make sure that everything was provided for the dog. We had extra throws to put on the furniture for him, bowls and poo bags were available. Most importantly we had a field which was dog friendly. That outside area made it perfect for all of us relaxing in the evening after a day exploring the area. The cabin itself was beautiful and had everything we needed for a really luxurious stay. The bed especially was superb! I would thoroughly recommend this place and we hope to return one day.

"The Outbuilding" that we stayed at was a lovely place! Nice and clean and easy to move around with dogs in tow. Comfy bed, nice sheets, plenty of towels. All appliances in place and a good heating system along with the log burner which was great for cold nights. Had a good area just outside that was fenced off but the dogs had access to the large garden which was also enclosed. In the heart of the village with nice walks all around and not far from the excellent Ferry Inn. A great place to reach all along the coast. Would definitely recommend and would use Paws & Stay again!

There so many aspects that were just perfect in this cottage for dogs - the fire, the comfy sofas (and provided throws) the heated floors, THE SECURE GARDEN (I have an escapologist), the porch that meant you could come and go without fielding dogs and so much more. The humans were also so well provided for - this cottage is absolutely delightful and we've already booked to return!
