I ordered a product through this website, and when I needed to change the size of an item I ordered, there was no way to do so without incurring additional undisclosed expense. I realized immediately after placing the order that the size would be wrong, but there was no way to modify the order through my account. I tried the text, chat, and call options to customer service and could not get in contact with anyone. Overnight my order shipped. I finally got through to someone via phone the next morning while the chat and text were still not working. They said my only option was to return the package at my own expense. The website does not disclose up front that you would have to pay to return an item. I said that I purposely ordered additional products to be over a $59 purchase price and receive free shipping, so I would expect the company to also cover the cost of return. They said they have no way to do that. I don’t think it’s ethical for a company to operate online if they don’t have any way to help online customers when there is a problem with their order.

Went to a party city store with my wife over the weekend and was extremely disappointed in the mask selection. Will be buying online from now on

Employees I had interactions with at many locations have all been great. Just a BEWARE when purchasing animatronics. Purchased one said to be new only to find out it was a return (because it didn't work). Spoke to someone at corporate who just read his line of how sorry he was. Wasn't even looking for a return, just the part that was broken in the "unopened" box. I unfortunately will not shop there again any time of the year.

I Went To The Wheaton Location & I Ordered Balloons To Get Delivered To My Home 20 Days Before my Daughter Party & They Were Extremely Late & They Did Not Come Until 30 Minutes Before The Party Ended ! I Would Never Shop With This Location Again, They Are Giving Me A Refund Due To Everything Going Wrong !!!!!

Customer service is terrible.
Party city messed up my address and shipped it to the wrong location, claimed it was ups fault but refused to refund me or replace the item I never received. I had to open a chargeback dispute with my bank. I will never purchase another item from them again because they ruined my son’s first birthday.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The party city in Northbrook IL is horrible and the manager Mark is rude and condescending! I have never been treated so rudely in all my life.

missing 1/2 of my order ( of course the themed balloons that made the bouquet). Said they'd only give me 50% back - It was embarrassing to show up and see a little bunch of cheap balloons that I paid $72 dollars to buy and deliver - of course they didn't refund delivery fee. New York City store

Party City did not honor Certificate

Party City was sued in court and customers were awarded compensation in various forms. Most were awarded a $9.00 certificate to use towards merchandise and in the terms of the settlement it stated there was no expiration date to use the certificate. I tried to use mine at the beginning of June 2024 and was told they had "closed" out the "system" on these and they would no longer honor it. I explained that there was no expiration date per the settlement and that when these were first "issued" during Covid that I was not doing any partying and that after that I had part of my lung removed so again I was not doing any partying. The were firm in that they would not honor the certificate or issue me a new one and could only offer me whatever there current "discount" might be. The discount was much less than the $9.00 I should have been able to use as I was not purchasing $50-90.00 of merchandise in order to get the same amount with the discount they offered. If the certificate had indicated a time that it would expire, I could understand there stance, but when it specifically said "No Expiration Date", I was very frustrated and upset with there stand on not honoring it. I will never purchase anything from them from here on since they don't honor their word to their customers.

I had a very bad experience at the Everett Party City at Everett Mall. Very rude and unprofessional employees and poor customer service. Never will go back to Party City.

Wow. The reviews are horrible for party city. I had a job interview and there registers weren't working and I could see the gal was struggling. She kept saying it. When I finally got to my interview the manager walked 10 feet in front of me and very little conversation. She looked down at my feet and it made me nervous. Personally I knew it was her when I saw her. Pancake makeup and false lashes and her blouse was tied in a knot right under her boob's she was displaying. She said she would let me know today,but if I didn't call in a week. We'll that tells me don't bother. Employers have this crap attitude don't call us. Maybe we will call you. And other people don't bother. They only hire younger kids.

Wish I read these reviews before I purchased from here. They messed up on graduation announcements I ordered. I didn't realize it till later and they told me that the 30-day ran out and I was only 2 days shy. And they wouldn't provide a refund. So please be careful ordering anything from here.

We saw quite a few things with no prices displayed at all. I bought a package of squirt guns for an upcoming family reunion. They were priced $9. When they charged me $10.50 instead, I questioned it. One cashier (female with reddish hair) walked over so I could show her the displayed price. She acknowledged that the price was, in fact, shown as $9, then kept shrugging her shoulders and repeating, "I don't know what to tell you." I told her that I should be given $1.50 refund, and she said they couldn't do that. She just kept shrugging and saying she didn't know what to tell me.
Me, and all 7 family members that were with me, were shocked at the fact that she didn't seem to care and at the fact that they could not, according to her, give me a refund for the difference.
I ended up walking out, but then realized that I should get a picture of the displayed price tags. I immediately (within seconds) went back in, but the cashier had already ripped the price tags down. The cashier who had rung up my purchase (female with multi-colored hair) saw me and basically scolded me for not coming to her about the issue - she was with other customers, though. ?
When I walked back over to the counter, both female cashiers told me that things ring up the wrong price ALL THE TIME and there is nothing they can do. They said that the price stickers might have been from last year.
It's not the $1.50 that is the issue. It is the COMPLETE LACK OF CARE of the employees that has me stunned. They did NOT care AT ALL. To them, it was just standard operating procedure. We will not be purchasing anything from Party City in the future. The staff at this store definitely needs trained on how to do their jobs.

They had everything I needed for the party.

I join in with all the one star dissatisfied reviewers. My only way to get the word out and get my moneys worth for poor quality and bad products that cost a lot.
I did get helium balloons too, not ordered just popped in thinking a party place would have great selection and good quality balloons. I paid a fortune for the ballooons and got the high float to ensure they last longer. I have helium ballooons before last almost a week in the past from other party places and even Safeway. NOPE. Not here. Lying on the floor in less than 24 hours! Flowers cheaper and last more than 24 hrs. I called twice, first time I was disconnected holding for a supervisor, second call back I was put on hold again for over 6 min but not placed on actual hold so I could hear the staff talking. They had forgot I was on hold. I was told they do NOT take returns and that the balloons do not last more than 24 hrs. If you buy them, make sure you are willing to trash them the next day. They will replace the balloons for another 24 hrs. Not sure how many times they will do that. Prob none, They were a gift from a 3 yr old to his grama so no receipt. So without that, no replacement either. Hard lesson or maybe a good one for a child that party city will gouge you so buyer beware. !!!! Just buy flowers little boy. They are way better and a great gift.

I ordered online and got the worst customer service because I wanted to return an item. I will not shop at Party City again. Their customer service is terrible, and I will not recommend them to anyone. I am a dissatisfied customer and very disappointed in the service I received. I ordered some prints online, but they came a day late. I did not use the product and will never use their service again. I am one unhappy customer: poor judgment Party City and very poor customer service,

I’ve never been here but why did u block me from ur website!?!?? All I wanted was a wig of Ramona flowers and when I went on the website it said u had been blocked. I’ll start a war with party city and pencilvana if they don’t fix this raaaaaaaaA

I just had a poor balloon inflate service. Party city charged me $1.50 to inflate each ballon. But half of the balloons sink, don't even float. I belivec they mixed two different air to save money. This is a scam.

I came to the party city in Oceanside (Long Beach Rd) NY and asked to see the manager. The managers name was Carrie. She was very sweet and helpful with balloons that I had picked up the night before that lost the helium. She said no problem we will replace them. I also needed to change the color since the color that deflated was not the color, my daughter wanted. When I asked her if she could change the colors on me She said no problem and they changed my colors also. Excellent and kind manager. Also Amy helped me and inflated the balloons She is a very sweet young lady and very kind. The staff was helpful and I want others to know.

In preparation for a party I had ordered bundles of balloons for pickup. I arrived an hour after the pickup time and my balloons were not ready. There were at least 6 employees at the front of the store and only one appeared to be actively working while the others were chatting. I went into line to pickup the balloons and the associate at the counter was waving in other customers that had balloons pick ups in front of me. Took 40 minutes to get the balloons, wasn't happy.
