I came to the party city in Oceanside (Long Beach Rd) NY and asked to see the manager. The managers name was Carrie. She was very sweet and helpful with balloons that I had picked up the night before that lost the helium. She said no problem we will replace them. I also needed to change the color since the color that deflated was not the color, my daughter wanted. When I asked her if she could change the colors on me She said no problem and they changed my colors also. Excellent and kind manager. Also Amy helped me and inflated the balloons She is a very sweet young lady and very kind. The staff was helpful and I want others to know.

In preparation for a party I had ordered bundles of balloons for pickup. I arrived an hour after the pickup time and my balloons were not ready. There were at least 6 employees at the front of the store and only one appeared to be actively working while the others were chatting. I went into line to pickup the balloons and the associate at the counter was waving in other customers that had balloons pick ups in front of me. Took 40 minutes to get the balloons, wasn't happy.

I had a birthday party on Sunday and I purchased 6 helium latex balloons (special starwars balloons). I got them inflated (2.89 plus tax per balloon) on Saturday afternoon thinking they would last until Sunday afternoon, however, they were deflated come the morning. I went back to the store on the day of the party, asking if I could get them reinflated and the employee stated that their latex balloons are only good for 12 hours. I was unaware of this, nowhere in the store was that written, and she said the employee who inflates the balloon is supposed to inform the customer of the 12-hour inflation. I said no one had mentioned that to me upon purchase, otherwise, I would have waited until the day of to inflate the balloons. She suggested I speak with the manager. The manager stated that the balloon policy is written on the bottom of the receipt - which it was, "Latex balloons guaranteed for 12 hours". Fair enough - I repurchased the balloons and paid for more helium. The lady who filled the balloons was choppy with me and rude. I asked if she could help me place the balloons into the Party City balloon bag (they placed the balloons in the bag for me the previous time) and she flicked the strings at me saying "well, there ya go". The balloons lasted only 6 hours until they were touching the floor.
I would like to see the balloon policy posted IN store by the balloon station so this doesn't happen to people in the future AND for employees to state that to customers upon inflation.

This is a well-organized store! The team is friendly and helpful! Overall, a very positive experience!

The kindness and dedication to the staff at Party City, specifically Jason. I did not intend on leaving a negative public review and thought I was reaching out directly to the store. The problem was actually no problem for the staff and they had an immediate resolution.

This staff and store are an asset to the company and it is always the team on site that makes the difference for the people in the community as well as the corporation.

Do NOT order online! You will NOT receive what you paid for nor a refund, or any help of any kind! We ordered our shipment of birthday supplies for our daughter & sons birthday. We never received the package even though it was said to had been delivered. CLEARLY not to us!! The rep we got was not helpful at all nor did they care one bit we couldn’t be receiving it. They offered no kind of help, sympathy of us being out $195. They refused to offer a reshipment or replacement, leaving us out $195 and not able to repurchase in time for my sons birthday this Saturday which is already enough embarrassment to admit! They have completely ruined his party, have taken our $195, and left us with no help. I can’t believe a store I have shopped at for all their party decorations since age 1, would do this to us. If you must purchase from them, for the love of GOD only do it in store where they cannot take from you. We will never be purchasing from here again for their party stuff in the future and hate we have gave such an inconsiderate company our business for this long without knowing. Devastating is an understatement!!

Store supervisor Ashley refused to provide a refund promised by a supervisor I spoke to over the phone the night before for a balloon arrangement that didn’t last a couple hours due to being defective or over filled. Purchased the balloons the day before for my sons birthday and unable to return until after the intended time I was going to surprise him with the balloons. Supervisor on shift today only wanted to replace the balloon that was defective even though the whole purpose of the balloon arrangement was for a surprise that was over and done with at the time of replacement. I was told last night that if I brought the arrangement back with original payment method I would be refunded. Supervisor today was very rude and after much discussion still would only provide partial store credit. Lied outright about the Manager making the call on issuing of the store credit only and would not provide Manager contact info for escalation purposes. I called corporate office after and they refunded the full amount and allowed me to retain the store credit issued at the store. At least there is still customer service at some level of the organization.

I placed an order and didn’t receive a confirmation or shipping notification. I used the Chat feature. The person said everything was good. Still nothing! I called. The person said I would absolutely have my items by today. Still nothing! I called again. The person said the order is stuck and needed to be cancelled. Now, I won’t be receiving the items for my party which is in 2 days.

In this store they have crown out in the open someone tried it on to see if it fits a worker raised her voice at her and said if she wears that then she has to buy it so she told her to put it down. But the thing is the crowns had no sign saying that you cant wear them 😐

Great experience and helpful staff even when under pressure.

They’re quick and they’re reliable for me I’ve never had any problems with them. I always check them first if I need supplies for any party.

Didn’t fulfil order,no indication they weren’t going to fulfil the order despite waiting for it to arrive at the scheduled delivery window and then only secured a refund by speaking to a live chat agent - first and last time I’ll be using them!

Daughter turned 30. Was there to pick up balloons for a party on 2/4/2023. Saw some gasoline gift cards while waiting in line and picked up a $50 for her. Girl went to activate it, wouldn’t activate, so was told to take another. That one did activate (even in their system along with activation fee). Both cards on counter, turned around when other girl came with balloons, turned back and said, “Okay which was the good card I paid for and which was the dud?” THEY GAVE ME THE DUD saying it was the “good” card, pocketed the good card, and my daughter didn’t find out she got the dud until she was low on gas and at the Shell station! When I called them back to report this, I kept getting the “Well, gift cards are treated differently” line. I asked if they could activate another as I have the dud they gave me, or refund my $50. That had to go to another manager, who had to call her manager (Eric) who was supposed to call me about this and to date never has! I have called five times since, spoken “with “Jess” who said Eric would call, spoken with “Taylor” who said Eric was checking with corporate but NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK! Why do I get the feeling they’re hoping I’m going to forget about this? Why do I get different stories from supposed store managers? If Party City thinks I’m going to forget about the $50....that’s not going to happen. I’ll protest with a sign outside the Crystal Lake, IL Party City where this happened if I have to. NO COMMUNICATION!

I place an online order and it said delivery by February 8th. It is now February 9th and my order barely shipped out and says arriving February 13th. I can't believe this. This is the first time this has happened to me on any online purchase from anywhere. How did this happen? And why are they giving the wrong dates when you place an order? It can really ruin someone plans.

Rude cashier, very slow, not helpful

I shopped Party City in Chillicothe, OH today and had 3 wonderful employees give me exceptional service. I was greeted by a gentleman who greeted me with Welcome to the Party❗Then he kindly took me to the amazing selection of NY Eve party goods. He helped me find an extra headband. When I checked out 2 young ladies were so helpful and even offered to help me get my ballons to the car and offered to take my cart back into the store. They thanked me and were so delightful. Wishing everyone at Paper City a Hapoy New Year❗You all know customer service with a smile😊

I just love the party city located at 815 Hutchinson River Plaza in the Bronx due to 2 particular employees, Gloria and Manager Ken Roy. These 2 wonderful people are so compassionate and professional. Because of the kindness of Gloria and Ken Roy I will definitely continue to shop there and refer my family and friends. The worst store in Miami. Specially the store in 84 Ave and Coral Way. I placed an order and the same day in the same hour that I need to pick up the order they told me: I am sorry but we don't have the items that you request. Very disrespectfully. I think that they have to close that store because is a garbage.

I ordered a Spider Man costume for Halloween.
It cost $60.
I could not see out of the eyes. The eyes were fabric with no holes or eye cups. Just fabric I was supposed to look through. I could not see anything but vague forms in bright light.
I would not trust any review that did not mention the trouble seeing.
The seams also came apart in the hands almost immediately.
