Robert Green, Service technician

Robert Green, service technician, came on 12th May 2026 to look at the seat cushions on our settee, which had dipped in the middle. He brought new foam cushions with him which, after he had inserted into the original covers, proved far too hard to be comfortable. With no hesitation Rob took them back to the factory and returned within the hour with replacements,which are just right and very comfortable. What a brilliant service! Rob deserves a 10* rating for his prompt and efficient action. Thank you.

Excellent Customer Service!

I contacted Customer Services as I am about to re-upholster a circa 1970's Parker Knoll armchair. Jack Harris could not have been more helpful. I needed to replace the bindings that support the seat springs and Jack located what I needed and supplied them at no cost so that I can begin my project. I'm sure the chair will live on for another 50+ years easily!

My new furniture is a beautiful colour…

My new furniture is a beautiful colour and very comfortable the reason I've knocked a star off is because the furniture does not come with smooth gliders so moving this very heavy furniture is impossible smooth gliders would make this easier on carpet.

Sofa smells of damp

Sofa smells of damp and we returned it to Sterlings who kept it in a very cold warehouse and brought it back to us weeks later with no improvement. We bought this as a replacement for a grand sofa from Parker knoll so know what the quality should be. The bottom of the sofa has two slashes on the black covering and a black mark - I have photos. Very disappointed returning PK customer - please stop wrapping goods in plastic as this increases the moisture and when moved from a very cold distribution warehouse (Sterlings) to a warm environment makes the good smell very damp!

We are sorry to hear of your disappointment and understand that Sterling Furniture have made us aware of the concerns raised regarding your sofa. We will, of course, offer assistance wherever possible to help support a resolution.

We would also like to reassure you that we would not despatch furniture with a mould or damp smell, and all products undergo a rigorous quality control process prior to leaving us. Following notification from Sterling on 6th April regarding the reported odour, we did advise that storage conditions may need to be considered as a contributing factor, and that the furniture must be inspected as we have not had reports of a similar nature.

The standard process in order to assess any issues are to appoint a furniture technician, and we are currently awaiting an update on this, as Sterling have appointed the technician. We have asked for an update today and will work with Sterling to ensure this matter is investigated fully and resolved.

I am actually disgusted,we purchased…

I am actually disgusted,we purchased our sofa 3 years ago and it has a smell that has got worse ,we thought at first it was because it was new but it’s got worse not better.I contacted Parker knoll and they sent Rob a service engineer,,at a cost of £60 ,he said he was getting a faint smell then unzipped the back cushions and said it was coming from them and would recommend they replace the interior of the back cushions I am concerned because I have a baby grandson that comes regularly it is a chemical smell and I don’t know if it could harm him .
When the store contacted me they said Rob couldn’t find anything wrong !! I don’t understand why he would say that ,so I am left wit a sofa that stinks when the lounge door is closed .Angry and disgusted .

Excellent experience

Appointment made in an appropriate timeframe and the technician arrived spot on time. Reclining Sofas bought 4 years ago and recently found a grommet on the floor this was replaced with a complete new reclining mechanism. Steve was very experienced, tidy, very efficient and pleasant. Thank you!

Excellent service

Rob who turned up to look at the problem I had with my G plan sofa was an extremely pleasant guy.
Very knowledgeable and keen to resolve my issue.
He hit on the problem immediately and had the parts in his van to rectify the problem. I found this very reassuring and to be honest great.
I am very impressed with the service offered by parker knoll to send out a person like Rob who can solve the problem immediately without the hassle of repeated visits or taking the sofa away.
This service is excellent.
Rest assured you are in very capable hands.
My sofa now is superb.

Brilliant service

Had a slight problem with the zip on my leather chair. Robert Green came to look, took the chair to pieces, took it back to the factory as we live only 20 minutes away. Repaired the cushion and was back in my house putting chair back together in under two hours and then cleaned up after himself.
Great service and lovely friendly Gentleman

Great quality and comfort.

I have a Parker Knoll sofa and armchair and am delighted with the quality and comfort of these items. I recently bought an ottoman and made enquiries about buying fabric to match my sofa. The Customer advisors could not have been more helpful. Great customer care.
