We started the year thinking we were still years away from having our deposit saved. Fast forward a couple of months and the team at OwnHome have us moving into our first property in 3 weeks time. The company, particularly Claudia, Bridget and Josh supported and guided us through the entire process, keeping us on track with signings, document and information collection and always available to answer 'dumb' questions!
We could not recommend working with OwnHome highly enough and will forever be grateful for the life-changing opportunity this company have enabled.

Everyone we interacted with - Jarrad and Claudia most especially - helped us in building our confidence in the entire journey of finding our first home. We didn't realise how much effort is actually needed, parties we need to engage with... until we were deep into the process and we can only be thankful we had them throughout everything! Otherwise, would've been such an overwhelming and quite scary experience if it was just us putting together the bits and pieces.

The system and team work great if you pass the eligibility criteria. I was on boarded quickly and the whole team worked hard with me to get me to secure my first property without problem (scanning, visit, negotiating, setting up finances, settling etc)
You end up with an additional loan for the deposit booster so be sure to do the maths and that the format can work for you!

We have been looking for a PPOR for 7 months now. We have done the journey alone for that 7 months and never really got into a state where we were confident enough to do a formal offer ( due to various reason mostly around doing own due diligence and overthinking things )

After 7 months, we decided to contact OwnHome and the team has been amazing! From pre approval to the exciting process of finding a property, initial talks with agents and the teams own valuation of the property, it has all been a pleasant experience!

What was really the highlight though is the buyers advocate service! We have worked with Jarrad as the buyer's advocate and he has been absolutely splendid to work with. He handled all the difficult conversations and meetings with vendors and conveyancers especially around the renegotiation of the purchase price after finding issues with building and pest.

He is very knowledgable and responsive and has been comforting to work with as you know you are represented by an absolute professional. This helped us especially as he handled all the difficult stuff like the initial offer, negotiation with agents, managing cooling off, managing b&p and due diligence checks, and re-negotiation on price after defects found on the property.

There will be fees involved of course on top of your loan amount but in our situation, this has already paid off by two folds through the reduction of purchase price and all the due diligence check the team has done that was part of the initial fees already.

If you are an overthinker and need professionals to address thoughts running around your head, highly recommend the service OwnHome team provides! We wouldnt have been able to purchase without them!

We enlisted OwnHome to help us buy a property as this felt like the best option with not having the 20% deposit. Jarrad and Bridgette and the rest of the team were great in keeping us grounded navigating the crazy Perth market. They helped us put in offers on multiple properties and telling us which ones weren’t worth the offers agents were receiving saving us from paying too much. After several months of trying they finally got us a property and was probably the best one overall that we looked (we looked at well over a 100 properties). From there they handled all the other tasks and sorted the settlement agents, valuations etc. Highly recommend OwnHome if you are struggling to get a deposit together in this ever increasing Australian property market.

Waste of time unless you have no HECs debts and earn over $180-200k. We're so over literally paying years and years in high rent per week to fund someone else's mortgages only to be told we can't afford to pay a mortgage with this service who claim to be different and understand that not everyone makes over $180k.

Ownhome was the best decision I have made so far. Firstly I was lucky enough to deal with Tim, who is one of the founders of this business. He gave me his personal mobile number and would schedule meetings outside hours to help answer my questions and get me started.
Once I got pre-approval I was put in touch with a team of 3 people, Jarrad, Claudia and Bridget. All of which played their individual role in helping me make the right decision on the property by negotiating on my behalf with real estate agents, conveyancers and building inspections. I simply would have been lost without these guys.
