If I could give negative star I would make it. It is completely mess and terrible lab. I submitted info about my insurance immediately after I received a letter from Natera(but actually I dont understand why they didnt have it because I did a test from my OBGYN Clinic and they have ALL my info that should go through). But Ok I send email with my insuranse, they didnt respond, after I made a call they told that they NEVER received any info from me. I provided info by phone. After that I received again and again messeges: Provide your insurance info. After the call they said they dont have it. Etc etc. All together I made more that 10!!!!!calls to the company. I am pregnant, I want to be quiete and have rest on my 3 trimester and dont receiving annoing messeges and mails that I owe 4500$!!!! its not normal! They make me nervous and anxious. I will never never do test in this company and not reccomend to anyone. Today I made the last call and told that I provide my insurance the last time, it is not my problem, if they can not normally send info to my insuranse they will not receive any paymant from me. It is not professional and it is not normal!!!

Using natera has been a huge regret! They billed my insurance $15,000 the. Charged me an additional $1000. When I call to figure out pricing wont give me straight answers. I’ve been told if I paid out of pocket without insurance it would ba e cost me $170 per test. They are unwilling to send me documentation an out their billing policies or what they sent to my insurance for billing. This has been a horrible experience.

I took Natera test a year ago and needed my results to different clinic this year. When I logged in to my Natera account, there was no results shown and customer service support told me that they don’t know how to resolve it over the phone and that I need to email. Over emails they keep sending me “how to log in information”. No help at all.

These people are absolutely disgusting, they are incompetent with these precious life changing results. They will make you wait for lost tests, inconclusive tests etc with no update what so ever. You will literally need to hound them for your results. The staff seems to be incredibly unhappy and miserable because they can’t properly do their jobs in a timely fashion. There’s also incredibly shady billing practices and these people will have the absolute audacity to send you a bill without proving any test results. I am beyond disgusted with everyone who works here.

This is a horrible company. Tested a year ago, and after too many texts containing sensitive information about the test at the time, I cancelled the test. I didn't trust anything about what they were doing. A YEAR later they send a bill for over $240. They said they contacted my insurance company who declined the test, and then didn't alert me. So now 12 months later I am on the hook for a test I cancelled and my insurance did not cover. Oh, but they will put me on a payment plan. Thanks for nothing.

DO NOT USE THEM - DANGEROUS RESULTS.

We used this company and they offered to give us the gender of our baby. They gave us horribly inaccurate results saying there was an issue with the sex chromosome. They then offered us a call with a genetic counsellor after who essentially told us our baby was likely to be disabled but couldn’t give any proper information. This lead to us having an amnio (which carries its own risk and is traumatic) - for our baby to be 100% fine and perfect. I know MULTIPLE other people who have had the same issue with this company. They should not offer to be able to find the gender as they are not qualified to do so and give wrong results that scare people when they are most vulnerable.

They gave us inaccurate results, no support and caused us to put our baby at risk. Do not use

I ended up paying 3x times as much as estimated for genetic testing. It's a total scam.

Can't repeat it enough, this is the most predatory company I have worked with. My spouse and I both had Natera testing in preparation for IVF over 18 months ago. At the time, we were enrolled in the Compassionate Care program to help cover costs if insurance didn't. Months pass, our insurance posts our claim and Explanation of Benefits as $0 for patient responsibility, we think all is good. 19 MONTHS LATER, we both get surprise bills in the mail for $349 each. We have argued with them and provided the processed claim and EOB and they said it doesn't matter, we're still responsible. They again said we could "try" the Compassionate Care program, which we already did but conveniently there's no proof of the first time we enrolled. And the best part is, they give you only 30 days to pay the bill at the "discount" cost of $349 before they bump it up to the "real" cost of $649 each. So less than 30 days to appeal or solve this, we're already two weeks in of conveniently slow arguing with customer service, and our bills are about to go from $698 total to $1,298 total.

This company is a scam and the testing is a complete scam.

Worst testing! Scamming pregnant women. Billing insurance too high and still making the patient pay too much! Not even doing pre authorization so that patients know how much they will pay for the test! They will just surprise you with a high billing. And when you call customer service they offer no help at all! Beware of this!

Not rating Natera as a company, but their billing department. They have had issues with direct and insurance billing. And probably hospitals and Natera billing department continue to give payment troubles to the customers (and probably trying their best to support the plethora of issues with billing).

We ran into billing issues as well, like many of the customers. I'm writing review for a billing resolution associate Ashley M. who have been extremely patient and helpful in regards to helping us through the billing issues we faced, and helped resolved the problem.

This company is a borderline scam. They do tests then hold results even after payment has been made. They are beyond dysfunctional as no one knows what they are doing so it is impossible to get a straight answer out of them. They should be banned from operating as they do not provide the services they advertise.

Natera is an absolute SCAM. They charge your insurance an absolute absurd amount.

Ended up coming out to ~$1,200 for two tests. We've had friends want to pay out of pocket without submitting to insurance and it costs $150 total

They have poor communication and are just ripping off couples who are new to going through this process. In the future, I will absolutely not use Natera.

Never answer the phone. Impossible to leave a voice mail. Why would I trust ANY of their test results.

Horrible experience. I was told it would cost 200 for all of my wife’s test and then a year later we get a bill for 1k. They tripled the cost with no reason. Then I try to get customer support and got zero help. The call dropped multiple times and the customer support agent never called me back. I had to keep going through the same process of providing my case number and all of my information. This business is a scam.

My provider indicated this was an in network test. Then, after the service was rendered Natera attempted to bill them for over $10,000. This was deemed to have a patient responsibility of $0 because we were told this was an in network procedure and because our provider never indicated we would be responsible for a charge. However, almost two years later, my wife and I received a bill for $650, which is almost certainly a violation of the surprise medical bill law in New York state. However, faced with no way to get in touch with the provider who ordered the test and an a total unwillingness of Natera to recognize this, I have had no choice but to find a way to pay this to avoid the bill being sent to collections. After a series of many long negotiations we were able to reduce this payment by several hundred dollars, however, I still feel strongly that was a violation of the law.

In short - this is a predatory company, whose services are most likely not fully or even partially covered by insurance even if that is what they indicate, and they will not cease to harass you for payment. I cannot recommend strongly enough that if you're considering using their services that you reconsider and find another option.

Natera was recommended by my doctor and it has been the worst experience! My embryos were sent for PGT testing which should only take 2 weeks , on the 3rd week after i called was told i had to pay for shipping cost before the testing. This was information they should have sent from day 1! Had to wait for an invoice which took another week to get to me. After paying i still had to worst another 2 weeks! They are the worst! STAY AWAY FROM THEM! They deserve 0 Stars.

They are a scam. I paid what was left over from insurance then they sent me a bill for over $1,000.

This comany has been contacting me asking for money but will not even explain what they are asking for money for - I can only assume it is some sort of scam. When I ask them what the payment is for they try to get me to give them all sorts of sensitve infromation

This company is a SCAM. BEWARE! I would give it zero stars if I could. This company partners with doctors offices and tells them to tell patients that the testing will be covered by insurance. I fell for this scam and received a $1,000 bill. They charged my insurance and then billed me for out of pocket, when I was explicitly told that this test is fully covered by my insurance.

Don't fall for this SCAM and it's not worth being stuck with a $1,000 bill. I only said yes to doing this test because the doctor's office told me it was free for the patient.
