I bought Macx Video Converter Pro to convert .ts files to QTMovie. The original landscape format video opens in portrait mode, but opens perfectly using the VLC app. This cannot be operator error.
MacX were emailed about this problem 8 days ago, and were given details of hardware and software (including operating system) plus a screenshot showing the problem. To date I have had no reply. Ignoring complaints until the customer gives up and goes away, is the most popular way of handling problems these days by companies who know the meaning of the word profit, but not honesty or customer service.
If you buy this trash and finish up the loser, then shame on you.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Addendum 9.5.22.
After contacting Digiarty again, telling them that they had ignored my first communication, they sent me another email on 27th April (after my review on Trustpilot) from another email account that came through OK. Why did they not use that account in the first place? They said they had replied quickly, but ‘it must have gone into the spam folder’. I had thought the days of ‘it must have gone into the spam folder‘, ‘the cheque is in the post’, ‘the dog ate it’ and ‘it’s all the computers fault’ were over- obviously not. They requested that I send a file for them to check. I had already sent them a file that they had ignored. The video on Macx is portrait format, and on VLC Media Player the same clip is landscape. Now, how could I have fiddled that?
After sending them another file to check, I got the following reply:

The output is not ‘all right’, it was the same. A full refund was requested (twice) under their ‘30 days refund’ policy, but they have both been ignored. Once they have your dosh they don’t give a ratatouille whether you live or die, there are plenty of new mugs out there. This is V 6.6.0 using mac 12 Monterey.
Finally I ask why anyone should buy this trash when there are other far better and easier to use apps. available? The others may be slightly dearer but why take the chance, and with no possibility of a refund?

Had a reply from Digiarty just a few hours after my first addendum was published (they obviously closely follow Trustpilot). It read:

The latest version of MacX Video Converter (6.7.0 just released) still has the same fault. ‘You can simply ignore the preview and output is just fine.’ What does that mean- are they in denial?
I’m sorry he didn’t want his name mentioned, but if he had done at the beginning what he did in the end it would not have been necessary.
The refund has come through (the hard way).
Moral of this tale? To get their attention (and your rights), review them on Trustpilot- us nobody’s now have the power.

I tried out the free version of the software and enjoyed it. I bought the pro version to see how much better it was. I wanted to be able to make the 3d videos I record 2d for some of my clients for my online business. The software failed to do this but I bought with confidence knowing I had a guarantee. I contacted the support team who promptly asked me more questions over several days. To me they were clearly buying time to avoid paying out the refund. Eventually they came back and said we can't refund unless the software is defective. They have refused to pay back the money I spent in full and so far have offered up half the money and keeping the software, which is useless to me anyway at this point.

The best software I bought so far. I used it at least once a week. The support centre will answer and solve all after-sales questions. The program is still running very smooth even my computer was bought few years ago.

I've used this kind of software before. MacXDVD is quite intuitive, and has almost totally worked as advertised. On a couple of disks, where the anti-copying mechanisms were remarkably potent, their help desk was surprisingly responsive, and helped me figure out how to accomplish my goals.

I have been using their products for several years without any major complaints. I have found support to be prompt to respond to the few questions and minor technical issues I have had.

I was amazed at the prompt response to my issues. I have been using Macdvdx since it was first introduced. I immediately bought the full program several years ago and have used it every week.

I was impressed with the Service provided by these people. There have been a few times I have used them when the programme I was using didn't work. In the latest time I updated the programme but it wouldn't work. I emailed and received a reply within a few hours. There suggestion still didn't work but when I replied they wrote back with a further suggestion which did work. Thanks for the fast response guys.

Superb product. I have used it for years and it is super quick and super reliable.

I recently had a downloading issue. The support team identified the root cause of the problem and fixed it without delay. Very good service.

The support offered by this group is exceptional - they are prompt replying to your issue and follow it through until it is solved. I am very impressed !

I have been using MacXDVD for years and always found it a great piece of software. For the first time recently I had to contact Customer Support for assistance with a technical issue. They replied to my email immediately and solved the problem.

I highly recommend Mac XDVD and in this age of long queues to speak to a real person on the phone, ignored emails and the dreaded ‘live chat’, I can’t praise highly enough their customer support and the speed in which they reply to you.

I bought the software years ago and changed hard drives, they helped me with support to register the software again. Great. The software works really well also.

I have had a great experience with MacXDVD. I Mistakenly downloaded and purchased the Mac version when I have a Windows 10 PC. I e-mailed the support team and let them know not really expecting a reply or assistance. Within 12 hours an e-mail arrived from the support team with a link to a Windows 10 version of DVD Ripper Pro and a license code. I promptly downloaded and installed the programme and have been happily ripping my DVD's ever since.

I am truly thankful for your support! I can’t tell you the number of times I tried different combinations to try and make this DVD rip. I figured that I was just missing something simple.
And as it turns out, I was, your #1 suggestion, click “safe mode” worked!

I invested in an extensive DVD collection over the years and we're often on the road. Backing up DVDs for family road trips has been a huge help. Streaming is rarely an option when traveling and less popular titles are not available on streaming services. MacXDVD also provides excellent help should you have questions regarding how to use the software or setting it up. I totally recommend MacXDVD software.

Couldn’t work out how to reinstall after reforming hard drive . Very quick response enabled me to do this .

After changing computers, I learned that the license had to be released. Support was very helpful in getting me back into production. Thanks, guys!
