Low quality.

After asking for recommendations for what cage I should get for my piggies who live with cats I settled on Kavee’s 3x5 with lid. Everything got delivered very timely but however that was about as good as it got. For how much you pay the quality is extremely underwhelming. Putting the cage together is hard because of the cheap materials used. Putting the pieces together was hard as trying to get the panels snapped in took so much force that it would almost always bend the metal panels. The cage comes with some sort of plexiglass material for the lid whoever I’ve had several panels break trying to open it so I now have to find a new solution to housing my pigs less than a year later.. I would advise you look elsewhere if you’d like to get your moneys worth out of a product as well as confidence in your pigs being housed safely.

If I could give minus review I would

These cages well they aren't with 10 pounds let alone 108 it's just cardboard covered plastic it's cheap and secondly in the description they do NOT mention anything about nibble guards you have scroll right down to the warning part which states if you guniea pigs chew you will need them no not if they will and the nibble guards are £20 pounds for ten for abit of plastic which is honestly daylight robbery I also asked kindly if they would send me some as my guniea pigs are nibbling the cage which I'm sure isn't safe to be constantly chewing but apparently it's ok 😄 stated by the company I wouldn't let my guniea pigs chew plastic constantly but the company states it's ok for them to do after spending 114.98p on some cheap cage they then don't want to help by sending some guards also the customer service is appalling you will NOT get your money bk if u buy the cage so please if you are going to please realize you need to guards to !!!! Honestly I've never known anything so cheap and nasty for guniea pigs cage I thought it was proper plastic something to it but it's cheap and flimsy and the worst part they do NOT have paper instructions so you have to watch a you tube video and try to ignore the annoying voice some of use don't like to watch videos as instructions was highly annoying oh and also the cable ties get it right first time or your stuffed!!!! As the ramp won't hold up even with string attached so be warned watch and watch the video as you are sure to make a mistake I didn't even know how to use cable ties !!!! So yh I'm experience has been very over priced and not great at all and the company will give excuse after excuse and will NOT help so buy at your own risk I'm a single mum and I have given many excellent reviews but honestly this is a shamble and isn't worth your money for the materials !

I bought a 6x2 white kavee cage

I bought a 6x2 white kavee cage. After reading reviews about instability I didn't risk getting a raised one. I got one on the floor. It said on website i can use woodshavings with it so I continued using that as they prefer it. After a week the lid has collapsed (I have been putting furniture together my whole life- I followed the instructions and the video to the T) and the sides have collapsed multiple times just from touching it. The sawdust us constantly kicked out the cage and I'm constantly cleaning up. I have chucked it out now- i refuse to pay over £200 on fleece liners! Absolutely fleecing people of money considering you can buy the bottoms for about £13 in B&Q and cages for less than £40 on Amazon. I've just gone back to an old fashioned big hutch and life's easier again. Beware of advertising. I fell for it seeing it all over Facebook etc, don't fall for it too! So so so overpriced.

Stay away

They keep badgering me via email to give them a review so okay!! Stay away. I was ignored by this company via email and social media when trying to chase my parcel. Eventually I had to go via PayPal to make the claim. Customer service is non existent and makes for a very stressful experience when you’ve spent nearly £200

Able to build to your pigs needs

I got two kits (4x2 to 5x2 extension, and a 6x2 cage with divider and stand) and extra 16 cage bars, and combined them with my own inspirtation to make the top a cage for two pigs (one each side) and below a run area for them to stretch their legs. It also holds six storage boxes. I was concerned that the size wouldn’t stand up to Kavee’s zomies but so far so good. I love that the c&c makes the cages customisable to your guinea pigs needs. Reccomend.

Great support after initial setback due to custom duties

Update:
I first gave them 1 star because of my experience below. They then came back to me and apologized and offered me free accessories worthy about 50$ and even gave me extra grids to the cage. As I understand now, this is a temporary solution on their side and will change in the future. The cage is solid and really nice.

Terrible user support and terrible company !!!
Lot of misinformation on their site. Then I asked them about sending to Sweden but then I must order from the French warehouse. Ok so I did, and then I received a message that I needed to pay 75€ in customs fee !! I then mentioned that this must be a mistake since it is within EU! But no ... they still ship from UK but pretend it is from France. Don't buy!!

I do not recommend Kavee

I do not recommend Kavee. I recommend looking at other suppliers. Other suppliers will take longer to make your products, but I promise you, they care more about you than this company. I bought a cage from Kavee, along with all the accessories – liners, houses, storage and spent £500. Cage was delivered but all the other items I needed to set up the cage, were never delivered to me. The the cage was delivered with DPD, with no issues, but the rest of the items were sent via Evri and due to the packing being ‘too big’, they needed a specialised van. I kept getting updates saying it would be delivered each day, but it never was. Kavee kept telling me to wait. I gave Kavee a second chance and asked them to send me a replacement, but they only did this when Evri updated the tracking to say the items were coming back to them. They didn’t think to send it via a different courier, they sent it via Evri again and the same thing happened. The replacement had the same issues as the initial order. Kavee would not help me and asked me to keep waiting for it to be delivered, withheld my money until I was over the 30 days because they physically needed the package back in their warehouse even though we needed the money to buy the products elsewhere. I had to ask Paypal to help me get my money back. Their customer service was terrible with lack of assistance and care and did not go out of their way to resolve the issue. They kept ignoring my questions and their responses felt impersonal and robotic, making the situation really frustrating and caused me a lot of stress. They didn’t offer me any form of compensation either and didn’t seem interested in keeping me a customer. Please stay away from Kavee and invest with people who really care about your guinea pigs!

Awful experience, and company, with no customer service (as in stock AI e-mal responses)

I'll echo common themes amongst the legions of dissatisfied customers.
I ordered about 2.5 weeks ago, a short amount of time compared to some of the horror stories. The product is stuck in Memphis on a customs delay-- FedEx needs Kavee to provide specific information on a customs form (sound familiar). I've reached out to them 4 times and received the same answer, no doubt AI generated: "We have resolved the issue with the carrier, and your shipment is now on its way to you." I then check and the shipment is not resolved, nor on it's way. I've finally talked to FedEx and they (a much more trusted company) have assured me that the original information provided was incorrect and that despite assurances from Kavee, no one has followed up to 'resolve the issue with the carrier'- why lie repeatedly about this? Today the product gets sent back to Kavee, at their expense, and I start the credit card dispute (needed to wait until the shipment wasn't held in customs).
No matter what you do to escalate, get an actual response, etc., it does not matter. I truly think their customer service department is run by someone in marketing using ChatGPT or something and the instruction to the ai was: Respond in the affirmative, stonewall and use consistent messaging!
This is an awful company. I make daily online purchases (I can't believe I'm saying that, but I do)- this is not typical for even 1 in 250 companies. This is a rare truly bad apple. And wait... the response, no doubt ai generated, will be, "Please reach out to our customer service at ____"

Just don’t bother

Just don’t bother. The cages are not fit for purpose and when you question this, they’ll make it like you haven’t put it together properly. The clips are not sufficient. Even fully clipped in, it only takes some pressure in the middle to push them apart. This happened numerous times despite me literally making the clips as secure as possible and meant that my pet escaped numerous times. This in turn caused damages to my property as he was roaming free when I wasn’t home and chewing things, caused him to injure himself and to injure me as well as he was panicked. I also have cats so I’m just grateful it wasn’t worse. On top of this, when you explain this to them, they’ll ignore, deny and tell you the same thing over and over again despite you fully explaining it. They clearly have a scripted response and don.t deviate from that. Furthermore, they have had my item back for well over a week now, I sent them the proof of it arriving back at their warehouse. When I questioned when my refund would be in, I was told a week - already a long time. Over a week later and guess what? No refund. Shocking. Upon emailing them, I get told they’ll ’check the warehouse’. So basically, they’ve not even processed it yet.
So to sum up, poor product unless the pet is tiny and can’t push on the panels, exceptionally poor customer service, design that puts animals at risk and don’t expect your money back quickly. Legal action is the next step now.

Still not delivered!

I placed an order a month ago for €260, and the package still hasn’t been delivered. I’ve already contacted customer service more than 5 times, and they keep saying they’ll look into it, but I haven’t heard anything back from them since. I am tired of waiting, and want my money back!

I regret ordering here!

Got my New Guinea pig cage a few days…

Got my New Guinea pig cage a few days ago the 5x2 with stand and loft area ,as well as the daisy print liners, pee pads and loft fleece and storage boxes , very happy with everything I received, the cage is a exellent upgrade for my 3 guinea pigs , very sturdy too, the liners are great quality, very soft , great design, very happy

Absolutely amazing

Absolutely amazing , a massive upgrade to our old cage . The fleece liner is soo soft and our oldest piggy now sleeps a lot more because it's so comfy . My daughter is very motivated to look after them and clean them out . She also loves to sit in the cage and play with them and give them treats . It is a bit flimsy but easy to slot back into it's place . All together it is perfect 👌 for our four guinea pigs. Five paws (stars!)

You will never get your order if you…

You will never get your order if you order from this company. It has now been over two weeks. Fed ex claims they can’t deliver the package because the sender did not provide fed ex with adequate information. Literally in one email, Alex, said I had to provide fed ex my social security number to receive the package. I have never had to provide a social security number to receive a package. Then when I told them that, they said I don’t have to provide my social security number. However they sent it, it is not clearing customs. They keep saying that I need to provide more information? Like what? They have my email, phone number, name and address. Don’t waste your money because you will never receive the package!
UPDATE ! Still no package and fed ex said they have already shipped the package back to the UK. Kavee (Alex) is telling me that it is my fault because fed ex has tried to reach me via phone and email WHICH NEVER happened. Do NOT order from them! You will never receive your package AND they claim to return it, I will be responsible for the shipping fees back to the UK! I never got anything to return! I am out $600 from this terrible business
Update-yes, I have requested multiple times to just give me a refund. You have stated multiple times that my refund won’t be completed until you get the item back. I have no control over when or if you will get the item back. I never received it. It has been sitting at customs for over a week and they claim they don’t even have the info required to send it back. I just need my refund for the items I ordered and will never receive

The product is ok

The product is ok, just ok!
When ordering, for some reason I assumed this product would be above average and fantastic in every way.
Sadly the prices are completely unjustifiable. I don’t mind paying a premium price on items, but their prices are just immoral.
I paid £248 (6x2) with a Black Friday discount. I hadn’t realised that it did not come with a fleece liner which would be another £128 (that’s also with another discount) these cages are also sold on amazon for less than £50.
I genuinely can’t justify how much these items cost. As I said they are ok, just ok.
Please research other retailers.
The cage I bought with liners and base shouldn’t have cost more than £150 and even that is expensive.
They are selling 4 acrylic panels for £48!!! You can pick them up from Amazon for £5.
It’s so dishonest to charge this amount to any customer. It really is a shame.

Appalling dispatch times and customer service…

We ordered late on the 27th December and still by the 7th January, our order still hadn’t been shipped. Given there’s been some bank holidays and the urgency behind our order (our daughters birthday this weekend and a guinea pig reserved - all communicated with Kavee customer service), I decided to email to get an estimated delivery date where I was told they were extremely busy due to the sale and gave no idea of when the item would be dispatched let alone delivered, totally understand they are busy, but perhaps when a sale is on, communicate clearly that dispatch is delayed on the website with the expected dispatch times or for a more personalised touch, email the impacted customers and give better customer service when your customers email you…

It’s our daughter’s birthday this weekend, our reserved guinea pig has had to go to another home and we’re absolutely gutted. Do not believe the amazing dispatch and delivery times on the website!

I’ve now cancelled our order with Kavee and gone to a much smaller company C&C Guinea Pig Cages Limited who will be delivering our c&c cage tomorrow, I ordered 10pm last night, now that’s the kind of dispatch times I’d expect from Kavee!

Perhaps we’ve been really unfortunate as the Kavee fleece liner we purchased via
Amazon on the 27th was shipped next day and it’s beautiful, we just expected Kavee to be excellent as the industry leaders but I’d personally save your heartache and go elsewhere.

If I could give 0 stars, I truly would!

Absolutely diabolical customer service

Absolutely diabolical customer service. Claim to despatch in 1-3 days and still hasn’t been dispatched 9 days later. Getting absolutely nowhere via email help account and have been offered no compensation at all. Disgusting for the price. I wish I’d known to avoid but I hope this helps somebody else to do so in the future. We have rescue guinea pigs waiting to be collected, no cage and zero care or concern from the team. So disappointed.

Disgusting experience with Kavee 'Alex'…

Disgusting experience with Kavee 'Alex' attempting to keep my money for order that hasn't arrived also refusing to pass my emails onto ceo or anyone else for that matter. Will be reporting avoid as Disgusting they claim money from courier and try to keep your money too ontop!

Last update trying to now say has bo clue what I'm onal about as there's no communications from email from me when this is the method been communicating recently and he replied on a very recent thread .

Nice idea but cage not sturdy enough . Poor design

Ordered a 4x2 cage and no problems with delivery . The cage is a good idea and a nice size for my 2 guinea pigs and looks nice . The issue is as others have said and seems to be ignored by Kavee , it is not sturdy enough even when all panels are pushed in connectors they pop out all the time and I am constantly having to put cage back together . It is worse I'd imagine having a lid as when you lift it things fall apart . Have ordered cable ties as others have said these resolve issues . I feel should not have to do this as cage not cheap . Couldn't recommend buying one due to this . The design needs to be looked at by Kavee
