Asked for not standard cage and Kavee delivered

I asked for something that wasn't immediately obvious on the website. Kavee sent me an email and sorted out what I needed. Delivery was nice and efficient. Set up was not too bad once we worked out what to do. A quick guide would be helpful showing a few things like how to start maybe. The video we accessed was too quick and a few screen grabs and photo Kavee sent me was more useful to help set up. However once in my pigs appear happy if confused at first! They're making a mess so I think they feel at home!!! Good quality grids and clear panels. Excellent customer service.

Definitely not worth how much they are. You can buy everything for it for a hell of a lot cheaper. Sorry but really not worth the money

Dont bother - customer service doesnt exist

Did a large order of almost £400 with a 5x2 cage and loads of accessories. The cage arrived and was put together and was used but the remaining items including the blankets, hay bag, sleeping pods etc etc did not arrive.
Evri were going to deliver on 12 Dec but did not turn up and put update in tracking to say next working day. Its now 5 days later and still no update.
Can only contact Kavee through email (they dont have any other published contact). They said they would make contact with Evri but have had no further update and no change to the tracking. They are keen for your money but dont care about customers.
If not delivered in next 2 days cagw will be dismantled, boxed up and returned for full refund!!!!!

This included contacting the carrier directly, requesting the original shipment to be returned to sender if located, and arranging a replacement shipment without waiting for the original parcel to be returned or for the carrier's investigation to be completed. This approach was taken specifically to avoid any further delays for you.

While we completely understand how frustrating courier delays are, especially during busy periods, we do believe our customer service team did everything possible to resolve the situation quickly and proactively once the issue was raised.

flimsy

flimsy, poorly made and does not attach without popping out. We have used 28 cable ties to secure it

Could you please contact us at help@kavee.com, providing photos of the full cage as well as any specific parts that are experiencing issues? This will allow us to properly assess what went wrong.

While we do recommend using cable ties for larger custom setups, using this number of cable ties for any of our standard cages shouldn't be necessary. Once we've reviewed the photos, we can advise on the best way to fix the situation.

Bad customer service do not order

Hi terrible company my cage arrived without a lid and I have cats. This my guinea pig is now injured and kavee have offered no support. Do not order it's a waste of money. Wish I had just ordered the Amazon one which is cheaper and would have been safer for my guinea pigs. I only ordered from kavee as I believed they loved guinea pigs!! They love your money 💰🤑. Don't order

After reviewing your case in detail, we'd like to clarify that our customer service team did investigate this further and confirmed that all parts were delivered correctly, including the components required to assemble the lid. During our communication, we also provided guidance on how to assemble the cage correctly, as some of the parts needed for the lid had been placed in other sections of the cage during setup.

We always do our best to support our customers and are more than happy to replace parts when items are genuinely missing due to courier issues or human error in our warehouse. However, in this instance, there were no missing parts and the issue was related to assembly rather than incomplete delivery.

We're genuinely sorry that you've been left feeling unhappy and disappointed by the experience. We care deeply about guinea pig welfare and customer satisfaction, and we regret that this situation did not meet your expectations.

Kavee caught in their web of lies...

Placed an order for two 5x2 fleece liners, costing just under £100. As this was our first order, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect. The parcel was delivered about a week later, while we were away from home. From the delivery photo, it appears that Evri left the parcel on a publicly accessible roadside. When we returned, the parcel was missing.

I contacted Kavee and initially explained the situation to Richard in customer services, asking for either a refund or a replacement. A couple of days later, Richard sent me what appeared to be a hastily put-together Microsoft Word form, asking me to answer up to eight questions about what I had done to locate the parcel. The form also required my signature to confirm I would cooperate with the police, any potential litigation or investigation, and that I had checked with all neighbours. In my view, this read like a legally binding contract he had just typed up himself.

I explained that I was not willing to sign this and that I am simply a consumer who paid for goods I did not receive. Richard described me as unco‑operative and claimed that signing the form was a requirement from the courier.

After speaking directly with Evri, I was told this was categorically not the case. Evri confirmed they would not expect a customer to sign a declaration of cooperation with the police, as this would fall outside trading standards.

Richard then insisted that without my signature on this declaration, he could not refund or replace the missing items. I referred to my consumer rights and indicated I would initiate a chargeback with my bank. At that point, Richard expressed his disappointment in me and stated he had processed the refund “to put the matter to rest.”

He continued to avoid addressing the issue of this apparently self‑created denial‑of‑receipt form and instead sent me a screenshot of Evri’s own version in an attempt to justify his actions. Notably, Evri’s version makes no mention of police involvement, enforcement, or litigation. I found it insulting that he believed he could pressure me into signing his form. While I was more than willing to cooperate reasonably to resolve the problem, I also know my rights and will not accept being misled or pressured when my parcel has gone missing.

In my opinion, Richard’s approach is neither legally sound nor morally acceptable in the context of customer service. For this reason, I intend to report the matter to Trading Standards and will also be lodging a formal complaint directly with Kavee, although I am not optimistic about the outcome of the latter.

The document in question. the denial-of-receipt form, is part of the carrier's standard procedure for parcels marked as delivered but reported as not received. Its purpose is to confirm that a parcel was genuinely not received by the customer, which allows us to submit a legitimate claim on your behalf. The screenshot provided alongside the form is intended as a guideline to show in which cases this documentation is required.

At no point is this form intended to override consumer rights, request legal compliance, or create an undue burden on customers. Our aim in requesting the completed form was solely to assist you in obtaining a replacement or refund as quickly as possible, without waiting for the carrier's full investigation to conclude.

We also acknowledge that the way the form was presented may have caused confusion, and we are reviewing internally how these documents are communicated to ensure they are clearer and less intimidating in the future. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve this process.

Finally, we note that as soon as it was clear you were uncomfortable with the form, a full refund was issued promptly to avoid further inconvenience. Our intention throughout was to resolve the matter fairly and efficiently, and we are sharing your experience with our fulfilment team and the carrier to prevent similar issues going forward.

The concept is great however quality is…

The concept is great however quality is Awful over priced and not safe. Keeps collapsing! We are going to have to cable tie every single bit just to make it useable at all. Seriously get a cheaper one from elsewhere and don’t waste your money.

The cage shouldn't collapse when all grids and panels are correctly clicked into the connectors, the coroplast is properly folded, and the setup is placed on a stable surface. For some larger or custom setups, we do recommend adding cable ties for extra stability, but this shouldn't be necessary for standard builds.

Bien mais tellement cher!

Cela fait 2ans que j’achète chez Kavee (cage, tapis polaire, lessive, lingette et quelques gourmandises). Leur matériel est de qualité. Mais les prix restent élevés surtout pour les accessoires (les cabanes à chons sont plus chères que certains paniers pour gros chiens). Mais j’ai vraiment été très déçue par la dernière commande, ayant profité du blackfriday le site ne permet pas en plus d’utiliser mes 17€ d’avantages points Kavee. Pour une commande de 98,40€ je paye 12,50€ de frais de port auxquels s’ajoutent 35€ de frais de douane! Je ne commanderai malheureusement plus chez eux.

Overpriced for cheap basics

Overpriced for cheap basics. The cage is becoming warped after only 2 months, the transparent panels keep curving further and further due to the chloroplast warping. One night, when I was asleep, two of the panels just dropped to the floor.

Also the measurement on the website is the measurement of the base - not the frame. This actually meant that I had to buy a second table to store the cage safely. I had already considered needing an extra 5cm at every edge and yet, the white clips make it bigger.

Not safe or worth the money sadly

So me and my husband did alot of research before buying our guinea pigs. We looked at a variety of cages and liked that the kavee cage came with a stand and the clear panels for better viewing our furry friends. It was high end budget wise, it was actually quite hard to put together as the instruction video showed a black cage being put together on a black surface, once we had this built over time and after every cage clean we noticed part of the cage would pop apart and we would have to clip it back together. This only got worse and we ended up taking our boys out and completely re building the house and securing with cable ties for added strength. Sadly even with this after 9 months it totally collapsed. We have now just spent even more money buying a big furplast cage for them. I have to say its far more sturdy and safe for them. I am now stuck with all the kavee liners that only fit kavee cages. I could not recommend them any less sadly. I do not think their cages are sturdy or safe enough for your guinea pigs. I have heard amazon do these cages and have much better reviews if this type of cage is your thing. Avoid kavee at all costs sadly.

Incredibly flimsy and very cheap material

Got the 6x2 cage with overhead loft. Incredibly flimsy, very cheap material. Not worth the money and I got it on sale. The "metal" grates used to build the cage are very thin and easily bend under the smallest amount of pressure. The only way to even keep it together is to zip tie every single corner (which they don't provide the zip ties for). The bed liner is just cheap plastic that doesn't even line up evenly. I paid 400$ and the quality isn't even worth 150$. Please nobody waste your hard earned money on this scam of a brand!!!
