Great Customer Service Centre
Accidentally ordered 2 of the same sofas from Jysk. Customer service team were brilliant and we received our refund in a matter of days. Nice to be able to call them and sort it out over the phone
Poor service and awful communication
Ordered a sofa from these on the 30th of march was told it would be delivered on or before the 21st of April, that week came and had not heard a thing and received a message to come and collect my item rang the store and they assured me that it automatically just sends messages when the item arrives in their store, nearly a week later I receive a call from the store to advise they have misplaced by proof of delivery and thankfully I had proof of this, I emailed it over and was given a date of 29th of April for delivery then on that date I got a call from the delivery company that it would be between 11am and 1pm for delivery and then no sign I tried to call the delivery company and they informed me when they went to pick the sofa up it was not there and JYSK sent them away, I should’ve been contacted by the store at this point and they still didn’t call me so I called the store who then informed me they gave the sofa to another customer in error and they only had a right hand sofa now. I had to then accept this and ask for when it could be delivered to which I was told I don’t know i’m unsure when the next delivery date will be after me taking the day to work from home, I then had to make my own arrangements to go and collect the wrong sided sofa and received nothing as a gesture of good will or even a proper apology especially considering the complete poor service and lack of communication I’d advise everyone to avoid JYSK especially the Liffey Valley store. Absolute headache
Dreadful customer service at the Dundalk store
Dreadful customer service. We returned with a bedside table that we just opened and wanted to assemble. One of the legs was cracked in half in the box.
The staff were unhelpful and just told us they can't help us without the receipt, despite it's a Jysk product and it was their fault we got a faulty one, unfit for the purpose.
We bought it 4 months ago in the middle of a house move and didn't find the receipt, but we had the card number and purchase date with us - we came prepared
When we asked the guy at the till if he can get a copy of the receipt, he said he can but he still can't do an exchange on that. No receipt, no help, with their own branded products.
We got offered spare parts but we will have to wait a week for that.
I've been working in retail before, and this is clearly not how you treat your customers. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Wish I had read these reviews before purchasing a mattress with this crowd. Not only did they give me the wrong size mattress when I went to collect it (didn’t realise until I got home and opened it) they then delivered me a new mattress that is completely damaged.. how it left the storeroom baffles me. And their response? You can get a refund or order another one that will take another 3 weeks. No thanks. Never again. Don’t buy anything from this place.
Really terrible customer service (online)
Really terrible customer service. We ordered a few things more than a month ago (order number; 4087418711). According to the delivery company they were returned to Jysk as they were damaged. But I can't get hold of anyone at Jysk to get a refund. I've sent emails, tried the online chat which seems to not really be a thing. It's been more than a week since I sent the email. Not sure what to do or how to get my money back! I just want a refund! Really surprised how bad the customer service is given how big the company is, and how much advertising they do.
Terrible service
We where in jysk today, we got good service form the in store staff but when we went round the back to collect a large shelf, a boy walked up to the car shoved it in where it obviously didn’t fit (on the gear sick). Then he proceeded to stand in a little group of his oh work buddies and watch me a 20 yo girl and my elderly mother struggling to try to fit it into the car. I’m absolutely appalled t. I’ll never be going back and I’ll make sure to tell everyone I know🩷 ps to the little ginger boy if u are reading this it’s free to be nice bud. Fun fact actually u are being paid to do it😀 ur acc a disgrace is that how your mother raise you? You should be disappointed in yourself. (Kilkenny store)

Do not buy a standing sitting desk from here. Cracked, no power unit, instructions labelled wrong, screws labelled wrong and wrong number of screws and managers in shops demanding you pay for a new desk to replace the 1 you are returning due to the fact it will take 2 weeks to come into the store. Jysk policies and management in Dundalk, louth. Are an absolute disgrace
APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE
Absolutely appalling experience in the Mahon point store today.
I asked a staff member, who identified himself as “Anon” (spelling may be incorrect), if my 3-year-old daughter could use the toilet. He flatly refused. I clarified, asking if he was seriously denying a small child access to a bathroom and what he expected to happen if she had an accident on the shop floor. His only response was that “those are the rules,” delivered with zero empathy or basic decency.
What followed was completely unacceptable. As I was leaving the store, this same staff member aggressively followed me out, telling me to “calm down.” Let me be clear — I was already removing myself from the situation. His behaviour was confrontational, unnecessary, and frankly intimidating.
The most telling part? The moment my adult son arrived and questioned what was going on, this staff member immediately backed off and retreated into the shop. He had no issue approaching and speaking to a woman alone with a small child, but quickly changed his tune when another adult — a man — became involved. That says everything.
This is not just poor customer service — it’s a complete failure in basic human decency and professionalism. Policies are one thing, but the way they are communicated matters, especially when a young child is involved. This staff member is in serious need of training in how to deal with the public.
I will not be returning based on this experience
Excellent customer service
Went to JYSK in Ashbourne yesterday and wanted to take the time to compliment one particular member of staff who was super. All of the staff I dealt with/spoke to were lovely but Tina (hope I got that right) was absolutely so helpful, and really had to give her a special mention, she really went above and beyond.
Jysk Tralee. Will not be visiting again.
Visited Jysk in Tralee.
Understaffed. One of three tills in operation. Big queue. Member of staff doing her best with big queue and obvious lack of training. Took an age for the poor woman to get an answer from the stockroom as to whether the chair (on display) I wanted to buy was in stock. Went with a second choice chair, same delay from stockroom. Also not in stock. Two weeks "or so" lead time. Left empty handed after trying hard to buy something there. Will absolutely not be going back.

After having a terrible experience from purchasing a mirror on this site with delayed deliveries and non empathetic customer service.
The mirror finally arrived and it’s incredibly damaged also the packaging is extremely poor for what you would expect a mirror to be delivered it with sits with the company more than it does with the delivery company.

-stars.JYSK Waterford. When they first opened they were great, customer service was great. Now? Worst place to go, never answer the phones, never anyone to help with queries regarding stock. Usually 2/3 staff members standing at the till having a chat and reluctant to serve a customer. Hate going into the shop. Such a let down as they have lovely products.
Misleading information
We visited the store in Derby and purchased a garden furniture set, parasol and 2 garden chairs. At the till they said because it's not in stock, we will receive a text message soon and then we can book a delivery. They said the price will be £25. We we got the link to booking of the delivery, we realised that it's a different company called AnyVan. The delivery fee was double, £50!
At the purchase they should have said the real price. I feel we were misled, and if I know the real price, I might hire a cheaper one. I am not satisfied at all of the information wasn't correct.
I tried to contact the customer service live chat which is blocked any time of the day!
Terrible customer service in store
Terrible customer service in store. Had to lift the boxes of two wardrobes to the car myself. Then when I got them home and lifted upstairs and put together I realise the quality was appaling, I proceeded to out the wardrobe together (took 7 hours and I have experience with a drill). Some fittings were faulty, there was errors on the instruction sheets. The material would fall off in my hand as I carefully constructed, the screw would split the board or not grip. Very very dissapointing. Stick to 100% wood items or 100% metal. I got good value on mats, 60% off, they are nice. But shocked with price of wardrobes 305 euro and very very poor quality
pathetic customer service
I went to JYSK store @ parkway limerick to collect an online order. By the time i reach counter. The staff behave very rudely. After the transaction finished she left the counter in a rudely manner.
Very rude and unpleasant experience visit.
Highly don't recommend.
The follow up on email was even worse then the store visit.
It seems the management of JYSK is not interested in giving a good customer service and they dont even bother to such emails.
I cancelled my order
I cancelled my order , yet I was refunded only for the item — the delivery fee was not returned. This is completely unacceptable. When an order is cancelled, the full amount paid, including delivery costs, must be refunded immediately. I expect JYSK.ie to correct this without further delay.
Furthermore, I visited the Sligo store to purchase a bowl, and the staff claimed they had only 1 in stock, even though their website showed 11 available. This misleading information is unprofessional, and the sales staff refused to acknowledge the discrepancy, causing unnecessary confusion and wasting my time.
The combination of an incomplete refund, false stock information, and unhelpful staff demonstrates poor management and lack of professionalism. JYSK.ie must resolve these issues immediately and ensure staff are properly trained and information on their website is accurate.
My son bought a bed
My son bought a bed, mattress arrives but no frame two weeks latter still no frame, went to shop staff do not know what there doing, while dealing with one of the staff, another staff screaming at a man to get out only because he was asking questions, so embarrassing for the man, in the mean time l decided to go for a different frame told was in store that's grand then she went to exchange all of a sudden she didn't know if it was there but she wanted me to pay the extra on it and then she could check l said no it's ago but in mean time she had canceled my old order without asking, it was a mess that's all l say never deal with them again
Slow Service
I placed an online order for click & collect recently. When I attempted to pay, I received an error message stating that a technical fault meant the payment had not been processed. I tried again and received the same error message, so I assumed the order had not gone through and abandoned the purchase.
About an hour later, I received two confirmation emails with two separate order numbers. I contacted customer service and, to be fair, the duplicate order was refunded within a few days, which I appreciate.
However, my main concern is the length of time it is taking for the click & collect order to be prepared. I was not aware that it would take so long. It has now been 10 working days and I have still not received a text or email to say that the order is ready to collect.
In my experience this seems like a very slow turnaround for a click & collect service. I would appreciate an update on the status of the order and an indication of when it will be ready for collection.

5 Stars + 🌟 for Mark Hennessy, Tralee, Ireland store. Having experienced a negative experience from an unhelpful member of staff, I was delighted when I met Mark instore today. He was amazing. 5 Star service. He couldn't have been more helpful & knowledgeable of the item I was purchasing. I was overwhelmed by his kindness. A truly honest & hardworking member of staff who certainly puts JYSK customer's first. Treasure him... he is a wonderful asset to your company. Please thank him on my behalf 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
3 Failed Attempts, Defective Parts, and Rude Service
I have had the worst retail experience of my life with JYSK Ireland. I received a sofa and sideboard with damaged outer packaging and multiple manufacturing defects. I have disassembled and reassembled parts three separate times, only to be sent more faulty hardware.
Customer service is unprofessional and shows zero empathy for the fact that my home has been a construction zone for weeks. They refuse to provide a professional solution or a simultaneous swap of the defective goods. If you want quality furniture and respectful service, shop elsewhere. Avoid JYSK Ireland if you value your time and safety.
