    No more ihateironing

    I've been using Ihateironing for @10 years. In the past 6 months the service has deteriorated and it's not about the ironing! I get a text to say that the driver will arrive in the slot I requested - fine. I get a text to say he has arrived, straight away followed by the buzz on the intercom and I let him in within 1 minute. He collects/delivers.
    Then I find an email sent at EXACTLY the same time as the SMS to say 'we couldn't reach you, blah blah blah. We'll have to move on". Despite complaining about this several times nothing has been done and either it is automatically generated or the driver is sending it whilst buzzing on the intercom. Either way this is too much hassle for the service and considering we have had genuine problems, it's like the boy who cried wolf every time. So goodbye.

    I was charged for services not…

    I was charged for services not rendered. 3 additional drycleaned pants that were supposed to be laundered but clearly neither took place. I did receive the dirty pieces on hangers and charged a fee for each.

    Avoid ihateironing at All Costs

    Avoid ihateironing at all costs and go direct. Destroyed two brand new made-to-measure trousers. Ignored cleaning instructions. Careless handling. $600 loss. Had to repurchase the trousers out of pocket. Nearly two months of excuses and delay. Had to chase them constantly just to get basic responses. Refused to reimburse me despite clear fault. Proposed ridiculous fixes like trying to “stretch” heat-damaged trousers back into shape. Even suggested I send other trousers so they could take measurements instead of accepting responsibility. Refused to provide insurance details so I could submit a claim. Refused to identify which dry cleaner actually handled my garments, hiding behind vague and misapplied UK privacy claims meant to protect consumers. This is not a cleaning company. It is an app-based delivery middleman. They outsource the work, take your money, and disappear the moment something goes wrong. When your clothes are damaged, there is no transparency, no insurer, and no accountable party. Read the other reviews and heed the warnings. Have never had an experience like this with a legitimate dry cleaner. Cut out the middleman. Go directly to an actual cleaner who stands behind their work. Avoid ihateironing entirely.

    Service washes - good experience

    I had a really good experience with ihateironing.com. Their service wash option was a lifesaver when I was displaced from home due to a ceiling leak and living out of hotels. Having laundry taken care of during that time made a genuinely stressful situation much easier.

    The process was simple and reliable, and the delivery driver was really nice, which I appreciated more than I expected. Everything came back clean, fresh, and neatly folded, right on time.

    I would definitely recommend them if you are in a similar position, or if you have just had a baby, just returned from holiday with lots of washing to do, or simply hate doing the washing.

    Horrendous customer/delivery/compensation service- EC1

    Horrendous customer service, compensation service, and delivery service.

    Tl:dr: lost half of my orders... it took 20+ emails, 10 phone calls and countless back and forth for them even to agree to compensate

    Firstly, they tried to blame it on a 3rd party unrelated to this process (the instruction was to deliver the order in person and not leave it with the concierge).

    Secondly, it has been nearly 15 days, and there is still no resolution.

    Thirdly, they didn't even offer the full amount of compensation due to "not having a receipt". Do people working there never receive clothes as presents? And, don't feel the need to replace the items because they were a gift from a loved one?

    I would seriously avoid i-hate-irioning. I have been a loyal weekly customer for 4 years... ! They used to be such a good service!

    2 of 4 items were ruined

    The experience from the beginning was weird- they kept texting that the driver was unable to find me hours after the items had been picked up. They continue to contact me when they are “in the neighborhood” but have never asked for feedback. Here’s the feedback: They shrunk two sweaters of mine significantly, rendering one completely unwearable and the other is definitely sized and shaped differently (not better) and was an investment piece. The dry cleaning itself for these two items and one shirt was over $100 and the items together are worth $1400. I have written to them to ask for replacement of the sweaters which are both less than 2 months old and will update if they do the right thing and pay for the items. I would not recommend this drycleaner in any capacity- do not fall for the convenience and modern setup.

    I downloaded this app back in June and have used ihateironing on a few occasions since. It's such a fabulous service. I've used the dry cleaning services several times and have just had my sofa cushion zip replaced. Fantastic customer service, affordable prices and its so convenient to have my order collected and returned on the date and time thats good for me!! Give them a try, you wont regret it.

    My order was not collected, no call no show

    My order was not collected. I waited in of course, there was zero communication and when attempting to reach customer service via chat you can only see that they will respond in ‘a few hours’ which is beyond useless. My washing machine is broken and I rearranged my day to be in for the collection and drop offs, now I’m left on NYE with no clean laundry and no opportunity to get it done before another bank holiday.
