I approached Hiut, knowing how awesome their jeans are, asking if they had any double black denim kicking around as there were no black pairs on the website. I was good for blue jeans but really wanted a pair of double black.

Lex replied super quickly saying that they did have some denim from a run late last year and they could do me a pair.

I went for the Hack@ fit - slim but not too slim - in my normal size with a little extra in the leg for a double turn up.

The jeans arrived this weekend and I have to say they are amazing. The denim is so good - a double black bull from Japan. It feels stiff like a 13oz raw denim should hug somehow super soft too. The cut and super blackness make them look mean AF.

I always knew Hiut were awesome but they really, really impressed this time.

It’s well worth asking if you want something that isn’t on the website.

We visited the factory in July and bought four pairs of jeans of different shapes and styles - different ones for different moods. We love them all. And the service - particularly from Jack - was excellent.

I have bought 2 pairs of jeans over a few years and have had one pair repaired to an extremely high standard. Great products, great service and super friendly and helpful staff. Jeans for life.

I have bought 5 pairs of jeans from Hiut over the last 11 years. 3 denim, 1 pair of black stretch and 1 pair of shorts. I love them all. I have also sent all of them for repairs, one pair three times, and yes, it takes a while, but receiving back a loved pair of jeans is WAY better than receiving a new pair. And the repairs are always thorough and thoughtful - matching the colour to the different shades of denim. And the customer service is excellent and responsive. I could not recommend more. Normally jeans last me 6 months tops but I have two pairs that are over ten years old (although admittedly they are now very frail after literally years of hard wearing).

Really friendly and helpful team, Lex in particular! Had some great advice with sizing and I now have the perfect fit. Jeans are fabulous quality, highly recommend.

I had the best experience dealing with Jack from customer services, he was so speedy at replying and organised my purchase the same day. I cannot recommend Hiut more. What a delight!

Doesn't live up to the hype. Am all for supporting small businesses - especially ones that source denim from fantastic mills - but they are quick to claim they are "Grand Masters" and "Do one thing well". Making jeans is certainly not what they do well. Have bought four pairs of jeans over the last year from them - all similar sizes / fits - and only one pair actually fitted me. And its £5 for shipping (not refunded) each time. Measured the jeans that didn't fit and they were over 2 inches difference from stated size. Asked them why this happened and was told by Jack that they cut them in different sizes. Useless. They need to have less hype and more humility. And learn how to make jeans.

Ordering jeans from Hiut is like being part of a club, or a family or something. The level of customer experience is incredible, human and (on more than one occasion) they've surpassed any expectations I had in how they've resolved a problem.

I'm on my fourth pair, and while it took a bit of effort to find the right fit the first time - I keep going back. And they do free repairs for life. They know how to keep their customers loyal!

I've got 2 pair of Hiuts now. Paying £200 for a pair of jeans mail-order was a hard pill to swallow but I'm pleased I did. Returned my first pair because (oops...) I didn't measure myself honestly, then went back for a second try and they're just wonderful. The Double Blue denim was crisp and thick with that cardboard feeling you got in 1970's Levis and has worn in beautifully. The black denim is ink dark - really cool. People who never normally comment on such things say how good they look. About to order a pair in classic selvidge.

A quality pair of jeans but I bought because of the free lifetime repairs. They are not set up to deliver on this promise. first you have to wait months for a place to send them back, then it takes a couple of months to fix and then they take for ever to ship. I have been without my jeans now for about 3 months.

When emailed they politely say will be with you soon and then more time passes. probably as they are busy prioritising new sales?

So fine if you want expensive (but good) handmade jeans, just dont expect them to fix them in an acceptable period of time

I like that these are jeans made in the UK. But I can‘t help feel the overall quality, especially for the price is a let down. The outside of the pocket wheee I keep my phone has worn badly and the colour has faded. The free repair didn‘t really address this at all.

Great jeans but the returns process is appalling. The website suggest that you might like to buy a few pairs and find the best fit and then return the others. I duly did that and bought around £1000 on my credit card thinking that it would be fine as the money would come back relatively quickly. I have now been in touch and heard it will take an absolute minimum of 21 days. After explaining how difficult that would make my finances in the short term, Hiut said there was nothing they could do as they are a small team.

Not a premium service in my opinion.

I’ve loved what this brand is about for years, but having placed my first order recently, I’m honestly so disappointed. The ordering was fine and the product did seem great quality, but sadly they didn’t fit me right. The returns process really let the whole thing down unfortunately. After waiting over a month, it seems you have to pester them by email for a refund before you actually get your money back. Really frustrating given the amount of money these cost. Such a shame as I wanted to order a new pair but don’t think I can go through it again!

Hiutdenim did not lie at what they do well and building jeans are definitely up there. Been struggling to get a pair of jeans that fit well and last outside a year. I have worn Levi's 501 for as long as I remember. Levi's have lost the quality and fit a long time ago. What I can describe Hiut jeans, they are what I remember Levi's being like in the late 70 ,80's. So pleased, I l bought two more pairs of Hiut jeans. They are expensive but worth every penny.

Found Hiut Jeans four years ago and have now purchased my third pair. Having worn jeans for over 50 years I am so chuffed to have found Hiut; best jeans - ever. Thank you.

I initially bought the jeans because liked Hiut's company ethos - that matters a lot to me. I wish all clothes could be made with such thought snd consideration for the planet and the communities that make them.

So it’s wonderful to find that these are hands down the nicest jeans I’ve ever worn. It took a while to get the right size and Hiut's customer service and returns process was exemplary. The fit is perfect and the quantity is lovely. One of the things I like is that they do lots of different lengths and for once I haven’t had to hem up my jeans. I will certainly be coming back for another pair - although I have a feeling these will last a long time.

I’m on my fifth pair or jeans from Hiut. The product is amazing quality the staff are exemplary abs the company ethos is definitely how more businesses should be operating. Last order was a ecru short run jeans ordered on Thursday afternoon in my hands Friday morning. Astounding

The jeans I ordered arrived when promised.
Look great quality, just a pity they are not matched by their courier,
The clowns from DPD
Who left them on the door step in the rain when specifically told to leave in safe place, and told in detail exactly where.
If you think this was bad guess what
My wife ordered two pairs ,again left on door step next day same company same DPD driver.
We hope they are there when we arrive home as we are currently away, so thanks for leaving another £500 of jeans open to thieves.
Can I suggest to Hiut they use some one more reliable and not these DPD clowns,
If we are prepared to spend this much money on denim then I doubt we would object to a few more pounds on a decent courier, and not one that does not take time to read the instructions we left.
I just give up words fail me😡😡.
