"Shipped" 1st box... never delivered
They said my box was "shipped" but I received no tracking code, and it was never delivered. This was my first box, mind you. Later, customer service told me the box had not been "generated". They did refund the box and give me a discount for the next, but I all the planning I had made counting on the box had been lost. Personally, I don't believe the refunding makes the chaos worth it. The service seems unreliable. I'm trying again once at least, to see if I'll receive the box this time before giving it up completely if I don't receive it this second time. Importantly, I strongly believe this is 100% a website system issue, as the humans I interfaced with were extremely helpful, efficient and friendly.

Why we cancelled
We paused our Hello Fresh in June because the deliveries were coming after 6pm and were changed from Monday to Tuesday. We decided to try again this week and made the order, money taken from account and waited all yesterday evening. When I finally made a call, it turns out our order was never packed and we had heard nothing. I have now cancelled my Hello Fresh and I will be looking at other companies.

I ordered from HelloFresh for the first time, and my box wasn't put together, so it wasn't delivered. This was highly inconvenient and just disappointing. Customer care was lovely about it, and I got credit, but I'm thinking about cancelling it altogether now.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. I only put one star because I had to. I ordered a box last week and the app and my email told me that it would arrive on time yesterday and that it was all ready to go. Im sitting at home all day waiting and after 7 I get fed up and call the customer service, she turns around and tells me that they never even generated the box and so obviously I ask for a full refund and cancel. Customer support lady was lovely but hello fresh cannot be trusted at all. To not even generate the box while the app and my email is telling me its on its way is ridiculous, also, the other things I'm hearing from people about wrong or missing ingredients just stay away.

Terrible experience with Hello Fresh
Terrible experience with Hello Fresh. My first order never arrived although it said it had been shipped. Upon contacting customer help they were no help at all. Was told by AI to wait until after 7pm. It was 7. 20 then and still no sign. Finally spoke to an actual person who said it was a technical fault. No one had contacted me of any technical fault. Said they will refund payment but there'll be no delivery. So thats the end of my hello fresh experience. Terrible customer support. I wont be trying again.

Constantly missing ingredients
Decent, tasty meals, just too many missing ingredients. I had been using this company for two years, yet in the last 4 months they have gone downhill. If you dont want to be frustrated when you get home and try to enjoy a meal, I'd advise you not to use HelloFresh.

Recipes are nice
Recipes are nice, good variety. altho found many were very spicy.
Negatives being double recipe cards given more than once , being left without one ..
The veg quality not always fresh , cucumber and tomatoes not usable in one order.
Delivery has been good as always by 4p.m. in my area so in time for evening meal

I still learn to create more tailored meals to my family. Most is very easy to prepare, fresh ingredients it’s so bonus, and plenty food for us , just wish to be able pick for 3person instead 2which is not enough and 4 is bit too much, but this is no problem only reflection.

Hello fresh is a game changer
Hello fresh is honestly the best decision to make! Being a mother is a full time job and the thoughts of planning out dinners for the week can sometimes be very overwhelming and also eating the same things over and over can get very boring for yourself and the kids. Having a menu to choose from for the week is like being in a restaurant I love it! Myself and my family have been trying new recipes which has been great, recipes I would never think of cooking. Also the quality of the veg and meat are top notch and I would be a fussy person when it comes to meat especially! Saving money, trying new recipes, shopping delivered to your door what more could you ask for!!

Good but not great :(
I’ve been using HelloFresh for a while now, and while there are definitely things I like about the service, there are some issues too. The quality and consistency of the deliveries have become increasingly disappointing over the past few months.
The quality of the ingredients isn’t always good. Vegetables are often mouldy or rotten when they arrive, and garlic in particular seems to be almost consistently mouldy. This has become noticeably worse in recent months. Items are also regularly missing from deliveries, and more recently I’ve experienced completely incorrect bags arriving with my order.
One positive is that HelloFresh customer service is generally very helpful and willing to offer credits when there are issues. However, while I appreciate the credits, it is still frustrating and disappointing to repeatedly have problems with the same things, especially when you’re relying on having the ingredients needed to make your meals. These ongoing issues also make it increasingly difficult to justify staying with HelloFresh, particularly given the relatively high price. Paying a premium for the convenience is one thing, but it is much harder to justify when the quality of some of the ingredients is poor or items are missing.
Despite these issues, there are still plenty of things I like about HelloFresh. There is a really wide variety of meals to choose from, the recipes are always easy to follow, and I have yet to try a meal that I genuinely didn’t like. The convenience of having the ingredients and recipes delivered is also a big benefit.
One thing I would really like to see HelloFresh Ireland introduce is a 3-person serving size, as this is available in some other countries. It would be a much more useful option for smaller households or situations where two portions aren’t quite enough but four is too much.
Overall, I really like the concept and the meals themselves, but the ongoing issues with ingredient quality, missing items and incorrect deliveries have become difficult to overlook. If HelloFresh could improve the consistency and quality of its deliveries, I would be much more likely to recommend the service.
