I recently had a highly disappointing experience with Hairmax that I feel compelled to share. I purchased a product from them with the expectation of a smooth transaction and adherence to their stated policies, but my experience was far from satisfactory.
1. Misleading Return Policy: According to their website, a 20% fee is supposed to cover return shipping and handling. However, when I requested a return shipping label, they refused to provide one, contradicting their own policy. I was forced to supply my own return shipping label, which added unnecessary hassle and expense.
2. Dishonored Discount Agreement: Initially, I was informed that a 10% discount would be applied. But upon receiving my order, the discount was incorrectly adjusted to 20%. Despite multiple attempts to contact them via phone and voicemail, I received no response.
3. False Claims About Return Timeline: I contacted them before returning the product and referenced their terms listed on the website. Josh Soto agreed to reduce the fee to 10%, but then sent me an email stating that additional charges were applied because the product was returned after six months. This is incorrect, as I returned the unit well within the six-month period.
4. Shady Practices: As soon as I received the product, they asked me to share positive feedback in exchange for a free gift, even before I had a chance to use the product. This seems like an attempt to garner good reviews under false pretenses.
5. Poor Customer Service: Despite multiple attempts to resolve these issues directly with the company, their responses were slow and unhelpful. It appears they are more interested in avoiding accountability than in providing good customer service.
Based on my experience, I would caution potential customers to be wary of Hairmax. Their misleading policies, dishonored agreements, and questionable practices make it difficult to trust them. I hope this review helps others make informed decisions.

I had a lot of questions about which device would work for my situation and Emmily was so very helpful! She listened to my concerns and kindly gave me good guidance and direction. She educated me on what I can expect & made great recommendations. Additionally, she followed up with me to make sure I knew there was a product special so I could get the most benefit possible. I am really looking forward to my purchase arriving so I can begin my journey of restoration!

I started using my Hairmax Dual Actonis 18 in January. I marked my calendar to check for growth in May but in March my hairdresser mentioned on her own that she noticed a lot of hair growth. I was so surprised because I never mentioned to her that I was using anything .
I have received compliments from my husband lately about how full my hair looks and I myself notice the growth. I can see all the hairs when I wear a pony tail. This is a game changer for me and will be using it forever. Simple to use and 8 minutes goes by quick.

Emily was very helpful with my issues. I've had a VERY successful experience with my Laser 272 cap and was disappointed when I could no longer turn it on. She assisted me in fixing the issue. Now I can go back to using it. My hair is no longer shedding and I want to keep it that way. I recommend this product to all my friends!

I am getting new hair growth at the front along the hairline, though the new hairs are all extremely fine.
Unlike some other sellers, I believe their HairMax laserbands are brand new, not re-conditioned.
I bought my Hairmax laserband 41 in Jan 23, and in May 23 the comb started to come away from the band. They replaced it under the guarantee. In April 24 it happened again, and this time it was well outside warranty. Nevertheless, they again replaced it very quickly and without quibbling. I hope they develop a stronger way to attach the combs to the band but I can’t fault the customer service.

I was sent someone else’s order that was a battery pack instead of mine which was a Laserband (around $1000 not including import and customs fees). I called their customer service line and had amazing service from a lovely girl named Emmily. They asked me for a few details and then promptly sent me a replacement unit. They had the whole situation resolved in a matter of 2-3 hours and also included a nice gift to remediate the error they had made. They also ensured that I won’t pay additional customs fees and followed up with the tracking number in an email. Such a pleasant experience/resolution to a really stressful/expensive situation!!! It’s always good to know a business will make it right when making expensive purchases, and they definitely did.

I ordered and paid for two replacement extension cords that connects the laser cap to the battery pack for my RegrowMD Laser 272 hair growth device. They have sent out to me, six different cords multiple times, which none of them are the correct cord to fit my RegrowMD Laser 272 device and do not work. They can't seem to figure out the correct one for my device. I own two of the same machines that I originally purchased from this company, so they have me and my information about my previous orders and product in their computer system. They said there is nothing more they can do for me unless I send them my device and cords. I don't trust to send them my device because it originally cost me $1,299.00, and they can't even mail out an accessory to my product correctly, so how can I trust they won't lose my device. They refuse to give me my original refund for two cords and shipping. Also, they don't advertise my device anymore for regular sales, they only sell them as a refurbished device. That tells me, that they are sending me cords from their newer products and not the older version that they're trying to phase out. All I'm asking for is the $24.93 for the two extension cords that I paid for on February 21, 2024 or send me two cords from their refurbished RegrowMD272 laser cap. Btw, I am a 10 year cancer survivor that bought these devices for my hair loss. They actually do work to regrow the hair. The product is good, but customer service should be fixed. The company ONLY has two customer service representatives that can’t seem to fix this.

I have the LaserBand 82 and really love the quality & easy of use. I love that it only takes 90seconds to complete a treatment every other day. After about 7 months of (not really consistent use), my hair is not falling out as it was before and I am noticing more baby hairs. I have to say that it is a bit inconvenient that the only times one can reach customer service is 9-5 M-F, but once you do reach customer service, they have been great. At this price point, it is a relief to experience such good quality in the product and the customer service! I have just purchased a LaserComb for travel because I want to be as consistent as possible in my treatments.

After I started using Hair Max's Hair Growth Serums on December 5, 2023 & started doing "Scalp over Skull" messages for one minute twice a day, as well as using my Hair Max comb three times a week (M, W, & F), I now see new hair growth in my hair line/edges that were Bald. There are also new hairs growing in the bald crown of my head. I can feel new hair follicles where there was shinny smooth scalp.
I am extremely happy with these results as now I have hope that I will one day wear my own real hair in public without a wig or head cover.
The photos that I am enclosing do not reflect abundant new hair growth that I see in the mirror because the new hairs are white instead of my natural hair color.

I bought a Hairmax 272. After owning and using it for a year, it stopped working properly. Coincidentally enough, it stopped working about 1 month after the warranty expired. In order to have a longer warranty you have to register the product, which I did not do. In my opinion, this a tactic that companies use in order to look good by offering a free extended warranty, while also not doing it with everyone since some people will forget to do it in time. If they really wanted to give everyone an extended warranty, they would just give it, no strings attached.
So I sent in the device. I was told prior to sending it in that most repairs do not exceed $150.
I've been very busy lately and finally called them back after they left a voicemail. I was asked if the device case had gotten wet. Keep in mind, they only asked about the case. Weaseling out of repairs by using "water damage" as an excuse is something Apple has done many times, maybe Hairmax took some lessons from Apple...
I had cleaned the carrying case weeks before sending the device in for repairs, but after the device had stopped working because it was a little dirty and I didn't want to send it in dirty.
One thing to note is that, in the manual itself, you are advised to clean off the Cap with a damp towel to keep it clean (maybe so the lasers are not blocked by dirt?). Also, the lasers themselves are encased in silcon and plastic. They are protected from water.
The tech support individual did not say what was wrong with the device. For all I know, they may not know. They may not have even checked. They may just be trying to get out of repairing something.
The solution they offered me was to sell me a refurbished unit for $600. In my experience, refurbished electronics are often poorly repaired and don't last. Then they asked me what to do with my unit.
-So they don't tell me what is wrong with my unit.
-They will not repair my unit for me.
-They will only send me a refurbished unit.
-And they don't automatically tell me they will send mine back.
I'm not a detective, but why do I feel like the repair for my unit might be very simple and they are trying to scam me? My unit was supposed to last for 10-15 years but stopped after 1 year, how long will this refurbished unit last?
I will not do business with Hairmax again. I do not recommend that anyone does, but if you must, just be careful and be prepared for the possibility of buying another new device (or refurbished device) if yours stops working.
Instead of Hairmax I will be going with a panel from Hooga, a company that (at least on their website) claims to offer a 3 year warranty and it only requires you to buy one of their products, no additional registration required. My old Hooga device still works fine after about 4 years of ownership, unlike the Hairmax.
Goodbye Hairmax, you were a waste of $1,500 dollars + shipping for no repairs!

It is unusual for a service team to go above and beyond when calling on a warranty, yet this is exactly what this company did. Not only did they listen to my concerns and immediately issue a label for my return/replacement, the service tech took the time to explain how this issue happens and how to avoid in the future! What a great experience. I highly recommend this company.
