There were some issues with delivery (which were my fault) and they were super quick and helpful with resolving it. The product was great too, would definitely recommend.

The soya starter produced a very runny and rather unappetising yoghurt the first time but with more tapioca starch subsequent batches have thickened up and improved in taste so I'm very satisfied.

I ordered 10g of kefir grains, which arrived in great condition and in a reasonable amount of time. Since then I've been making kefir twice per week, with no fail so far. The instructions were very clear, the result is delicious - no complaints.

I bought one of the mis-shapen kambucha SCOBYs which arrived very quickly and well packaged. It looked very healthy and thrived quickly within my first two batches. Two months later it is going strong and I anticipate this to last me a good long time from now.
I will definitely be coming back to this company again for other products.

Lovely Greek yogurt starter. I no longer have to keep buying yogurt every couple of weeks.

Have used Freshly Fermented before when ordering sourdough starter. Very good experience then, so when I wanted to try making my own milk kefir, I decided to order from them again. The grains arrived quickly and the online instructions (especially video) were really helpful. Only suggestion for improvement would be to explain more about secondary fermentation and perhaps include this process in the video instructions. I found that secondary fermentation (for which I used a small piece of lemon peel) transformationally improved the flavour of the kefir.

I have bought and used several scobys, water kefir grains, yoghurt starter cultures and a turmeric bug. Almost all have worked brilliantly (see below). Instructions are easy and I have a whole range of naturally fermented drinks etc in the fridge which have had a positive impact on my health and wellbeing. The only one I had problems with are the water kefir grains, which got tired and stopped working. All my other cultures have reproduced themselves and are full of lively bacteria. In fact we have to really careful opening the bottles! The one star dropped is not for the products as I am really pleased with them. However delivery is really slow. I am spoiled with other online companies with next day or 3-4 day delivery, whereas Freshly Fermented took 2 weeks to deliver, even by Royal Mail.
