Tasty, quality, best kefir grains and quality packaging.

I have been making kefir for the last 10 years. I have bought from many places like eBay but what I found that kefir was not as tasty as this and the packaging was cheap and not hygienic. I would always buy from Freshly fermented.

After I had received the grains I had washed them 5 times then followed their instructions. It's now 3 weeks and they have grown from just 5g to 100g that I have to give them to friends. I also put lemon peel in the second ferment this makes the kefir even more tastier. My second ferment is done when I see 1 cm of whey (liquid) at the bottom between 6-10 hours depending how hot is the weather.

Awful customer service. I paid for some greek yoghurt starter along with other products at the begining of this month. when my package arrived it was missing and they had sent an incorrect item. I informed them and they requested I send the incorrect item back.
I have been informed they are withholding the product I have paid for and have a receipt for until I find the time to post back the incorrect item they sent me, worth approximately £3 when what I ordered is approximately £9.50.
So according to them I am to miss out and do not have the right to what I paid for until I correct their issue.
Do not waste your time ordering, they will mess up and you will suffer.

I ordered a 1 litre SCOBY from the freshly fermented Amazon shop yesterday (because for some reason the actual website was not letting me go on) it arrived today and all the liquid is leaking out of the bag because the delivery man damaged it by shoving it through the letterbox even though someone was in. It clearly wasn’t in appropriate packaging. I have tried to register a replacement via Amazon a few times but keep getting a message saying this item isn’t eligible. How is a damaged item (damaged by Amazon) not eligible for replacement?! If someone can contact me and resolve this I will happily remove this review however I have felt I have to resort to this because I don’t know what else to do. I feel I paid a decent amount for this product and the delivery and now it is unusable!

Delivered on time in quality containers, kefir was a little too sweet for me but overall good quality.

Super happy with my milk kefir grains. They arrived speedily and securely packed.
I was rather nervous about the start of the fermentation process, but Dave from Customer Services was always quick to respond to my queries, and my milk kefir is now happily settled and producing lots of yummy kefir.

I found the information provided prior to buying grains and how to work with them really useful and they arrived promptly and are working really well.

After an initial slow start and contact with freshly fermented for advice, a new batch of kefir milk grains was received and production is now up and running and very happy with the results

I ordered the Alaskan sourdough starter. Followed the feed and care instructions for over a month. It never activated, I was unable to use it. I'm giving it two stars instead of one because I haven't tried the yogurt cultures yet and want to give it the benefit of the doubt.

Repeat order of the best Kombucha out there. Wonderful stuff and would have given 5 stars. However I ordered on 26 April 2023 and it didn't arrive until 11th May! 15 days is not really acceptable and we had ran out of Kombucha the week before. Must do better.

This was the first time I’d made my own Kombucha. The ‘Freshly Fermented’ kit had clear easy to follow instruction with a link to a very good video. Minimum ingredients are required and an absolute beginner can can make their own tasty ‘boocha’ in 10 days.

I ordered a kombucha starter kit, which has yet to arrive, however I believe they signed me up to a "purchase protection" subscription without my consent, which subsequently tried to charge me £30

Ordered some milk kefir grains and kilner jars. Jars were on offer and much cheaper than anywhere else, milk kefir grains have been in use for a couple of weeks now and yield excellent results. Both were delivered swiftly. Happy customer!

I loved your products. However, the last sourdough I bought was not ok. I couldn't grow it. Tried many things but it just went stale after a few days of trying. I know that these things happen but the problem is I tried to contact you but didn't have any response from you. :(
