Worst company going
Worst company going , we installed our solar panels with them , then got a battery with another company, as much cheaper, & more professional, asked Edp to give us the configuration for our panels, which we paid for , they said we would lose our 2 yr guarantee. Very rude ,& unhelpful company, One of the panels they installed is uneven, waiting a month later still not resolved. I would NOT recommend this company, UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

I opened a contract 4-5 years ago the building had an old meter which edp would inspect for readings, I discovered that they had entered the wrong post code on the address tried to change it multiple times but was ignored by EDP. When E-Redes was set up for the servicing arm I started getting emails and texts saying they could not contact me at the Address shown (no kidding) and I would have to have a smart meter installed. I contacted them gave them the right address and meter was installed now for 5 months they have bombarded me with complaints about not being able to contact me at the address. Now 3 times I have contacted them back given them the right address for technical team to contact me on mobile to confirm location and read meter and 3 times the idiot technical team has not rang and gone straight to the old address. rang to complain was told OK we will pass to supervisor to contact you in person and the team to fix this. No calls from supervisor as they have very few that can speak English, but refuse to try contacting me by message which can be translated and answered with Portuguese translation. Now they want to charge me for a visit to the wrong address to read the meter because my so called smart meter is not connected, in fairness their english contact help team try their best but the system is ridiculous
Bad experience - a lot of mistakes during the opening of the contracts.
I asked to open a contract for my apartment, sent the correct CPE and data, and then I discovered that they opened a contract for common areas of the building, so I paid for month the electricity of common areas. Then I needed do call and ask 2 times to close this contract and open the one for my apartment. Just right after the 2nd time the opened the contract for my apartment, but they didn't closed the onde for building, so now I'm paying 2. I called again, I spoke with an operator that sent me to another operator after explained the situation. The other operator said "the request was made on 02 of May (now is 20) and we cannot do more, we need to wait I don't know how much". So till that moment, I will pay 2 contract for an error of them + the invoices that I need to pay before with the other operator of my house because I had just the one of common areas. Furthermore, they tried to upsell my health insurance and gas.

I had booked a technical assistance yesterday. They tried to contact me but I missed the call and then they didn't try to reach me again and the guy didn't show up and nobody called to rebook the visit. Is this a joke? I am paying monthly for this service and this is the quality of service you deliver? Very poor quality and appealing not at the level of a company that wants to be international!

I had solar panels and a "smart meter" installed in August and ever since my bills are double what they should be. The "smart meter" and the app don't work. I have made 3 complaints to the regulator, edp then arranged 2 visits to correct the fault but never turned up. It appears that they take no notice of the regulator. I believe that they know the "smart meter" and app have an inherent design fault, so there is no point in keeping an apointment to fix the problem.
Edp should be forced to discontinue sales of solar panels and fitting "smart meters".

This company is a mess - Slow, never call you back when they said they will. No integrity whatsoever. Waiting more than 6 months for an issue to be resolved.

EDP e os seus Packs "Gratuitos"
Fiz um novo contrato numa loja EDP, disseram para aderir ao pack smart, que seria gratuito e teria desconto na fatura. Perguntei se era mesmo gratuito, disseram sempre que sim. Assinei o contrato num tablet, o que não dá jeito nenhum para ler todas as clausulas. Demoraram a enviá-lo para o meu e-mail mas foram rápidos a "oferecerem-me" uma visita técnica para revisão da minha instalação eletrica, que foi logo marcada para uns dias a seguir.
Quando recebo a minha primeira fatura é que dei conta que o pack que aderi não tem nada de gratuito. Telefonei à EDP para cancelar e dizem que tenho de pagar durante um ano pois tem fidelização e que, para além disso já usufrui da tal visita técnica. Sinto-me enganada e burlada. Isto é enriquecimento ilicito por parte da edp, uma empresa que até então tinha em consideração, mas que agora deixei de acreditar.

What a disgrace of an organisation. Centuries behind today’s world. One goes to a branch of edp to pay an account and they do not have MB payment facilities…. This in the 21st Century. Just unbelievable!
In addition, one looks at the Client ratings and they could not be worse. And so, I can only deduct that they could not careless.
Impressively bad service and no way to communicate in writing
I have been trying to make a contract with EDP for some time, without success. They do not show up for their own booked technical visits, they keep putting me in the "particulares" section although it is my company doing the contract, at times they communicate to me as EDP other times as E-redes and and and..... I tried to find a way to communicate with them in writing, but I cannot. Only by phone. Smells like they do not want customers to have proof of what has been said and agreed to.
Well, I have reached my limit and have now gone to another supplier. I would strongly recommend you to stay far, far away from EDP, E-redes and whatever else they call themselves these days.........

Horrible experience!l I have been promised gas last week and so far the inspectors miss all the appointments. They just don't show up and don't care. I'm home with children and no hot water. The next appointment is in 5 days, it is the earliest, they said... let's see if the inspector shows up now.
Demora no contrato e desconto errado
Empresa lenta e burocrática. Fiz um novo contrato através do site e o prazo para confecção do contrato é 14 dias úteis!!!! Se fizer pelo telefone, onde o desconto para o cliente é menor, o contrato fica pronto mais rápido. E por fim o contrato vem com a informação de desconto errada, prejudicando o cliente. Mais de quase 1 semana e ainda não retificaram o contrato. Péssimo cartão de visitas para quem nem cliente é ainda.
Stay away from EDP for your energy supplies
Let me start by saying that dealing with this energy supplier in Portugal is extremely bureaucratic, it feels like I'm dealing with a company operating in the 70's.
So I started a new contract with this company where I had to search for instalation numbers my self, not knowing what they were even talking about, ended up being able to get those numbers from an old invoice from the owner of the apartment, booked the instalation of the services, yes because they cut the supply when swapping from contract to contract, which means when a new person starts a new tenancy agreement there's no supply of energy at all, so with this CPE I was able to get the technician to come and connect the electricity but gas they got it all wrong. You need the CUI for your address, this is the magic number you as a client need to find your self, so you have to call Lisboa Gas and provide your address and then they will give you this CUI and only after that you are able to request service, easy right? But since I had everything on the previous invoice I provided all the numbers from there, well not so simple because it seems the CUI that was used a few years ago is no longer assigned to this address, but EDP knew the address was wrong and still sent the technicians to connect the gas, of course on the day of the installation they arrived at the wrong address, because the CUI now belongs to a different building, they ended up leaving the site saying they can't do anything, so at their advice I called the customer support from EDP and explained what just happened to hear them saying they are sorry for their mistake but now I will have to wait 3 more days for a new gas installation appointment. The person who made the initial appointment knew the address for the CUI was wrong and still sent the technicians to the site for instalation knowing they would not install anything with the wrong address. EDP customer support didn't care about their mistake either, they just treated as a new instalation request completely desregarding the fact that I would spend 3 more days without gas.
As a client I don't have to know CPE or CUI, I have my address and in any other country that's all you need to get energy supplies, it's unacceptable that I need to do their job to get their product in my house.
Customer care is bellow zero, I ended up cancelling the supply of electricity and requesting it from another supplier, stay away from this company, they are a complete mess.
