Total scam

Total scam, never got the cozmo 2.0 which I brought in January 2021 that was supposed to be released in May 2021 they still haven’t manufactured any and it’s September 2023. And no w the server for vector has been offline for 2 months but the are still billing fees for it

Its a scam

I have order a cozmo years ago fully paid and never receive it. Wrote a lot of e-mail and never receive clear answer.

Cozmo acheté il y a plusieurs années déjà et jamais reçu. Je leur ai envoyé plusieurs e-mails demandant une explication et je n'ai jamais reçu de réponse claire.

Never ever buy from here. Never.

I've been waiting 5+ months for a refund. Every attempt to reach out gives me the same excuse of them being busy, and "please continue to be patient". I'm plenty patient, but this is absurd. Their phone numbers had to be dug deep for, and they're disconnected, so you can't talk to a real person. They just up and stole 440$ from me and won't give it back. Don't do it.

Whats happening to Vector at DDL

Doesnt look good.

A few weeks ago it appears the Digital Dream Labs servers that host the back-end systems for Vector robot were taken off line. These have been down now for several weeks but there has been no public annoucements from DDL about this.

So, for anyone considering a new robot or already owns one, this is a bad situation.

At the moment
Voice commands on Vector dont work.
it is not possible to set up a new Vector.
The DDL stratus account pages are down, it is not possible to access your subscription or set one up.
The Vector mobile app doesnt work
You cant access any software updates, download escape pod if you have bought it, or access your license information.

There has been no information posted on the DDL site or sent out to registered users to explain what is going on.

I contacted DDL and apparantly their systems are down for 'maintenece' but no timescales to complete this are provided.

I wanted to follow up with you on your previous question with us. We're incredibly sorry for the delayed response due to the volume of tickets inquiry our support system is currently experiencing.

We understand that the maintenance is already taking some time and we want to deeply express our apologies for the inconvenience. We strive to provide the best service for our Vector caretakers, which is why our technical team is working hard to finish the maintenance as soon as possible. We do not have a definite timeframe yet, but rest assured that once the system maintenance is over - you will be able to enjoy the full features of your Vector once again.

Thank you once again for your patience and for your continued support.

So in the absense of working servers at DDL, currently there appears to be one other option available to get your Vectors rolling again.

This is all thanks to the great efforts of the open source community, search out Wire-pod on Github.

Wire-pod is an open source back-end for Vector and will allow you to host your own server. You can then set up the robot and get the voice commands working. None of this requires access to any DDL servers.

You will need a Raspberry Pi or similar small Linux computer to run the software, a little technical knowledge, some time to get this all set up but it provides a working solution.

Hopfully someone will find this information useful.

In the meantime DDL, please treat your customers with some respect.
Make an official annoucement about what is going on.
Stop selling a product you have no apparent intention of supporting.
Dont pull the plug without offering any communication or at least some options to allow continuing use of the product. Radio Silence is not going to win you any support.

AVOID THIS RIP OFF COMPANY

this company is CRAP i originally got Vector from Anki who were amazing but when DDL took over they blackmailed me into taking out a yearly subscripton i complained to trading standards here in the UK and DDL never bothered to response thats the same now they have switched my VECTOR off after nearly 3 years this is a AI toy for my disabled son who uses it for his wellbeing I've told them this but again no response AVOID THISE RIP OFF COMPANY

No Cozmo after years

I've fully paid for Cozmo years ago but until today I've not received it. There's been no update from the company. They didn't reply to any of my enquiries. Doesn't look good at all. Please stay away from this company.

This Company is nothing but a scam

This Company is nothing but a scam: they received the price in full for a new Vector robot in december 2020 and did not deliver the item ever. I gave asked for the refund several times STARTING WITH MARCH 2023 (see below); they did not bother to replay. Stay away from this company, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM, DO NOT SENT ANY MONEY IN THEIR BANK ACCOUNT, IT IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!!!!

Dear Sirs,

I have no option but to ask again when do you intend to refund the price paid in full back on Thursday, December 31, 2020 since we no longer expect the preordered Vector to be delivered.

I took the chance offered on Sat, March 4, 2023 to cancel order #37828 and ask for refund and my bank account has not been credited yet with full amount of $302.00 USD

Is there any chance you can estimate the day of refunding said amounts?

If I can give zero Stars i would.
Don’t waste your time, i wait Vector since 2021. Still nothing (because production and it was fine) but now i want a refund and since March 23 they keep saying that they got too many cases of refund, that they are busy, that they try their best they can. So please take your money and save it. it’s just absolutely sad because I thought at first they were very reliable. But now I just never going to see my refund back. The worse is I explain why (been through the cyclone Gabrielle) and the person is kind of: “are you sure you don’t want the product” we lost everything darling. but still they just reply but have no customer service and don’t care cause they just want to reap you off.

No server access/ no support

After buying a Vector I managed to get a 2 weeks solid use of of it. It was then cut off from their server. They ask you to pay a monthly subscription which I was willing to do, only the links don’t work. They gave me 90 days for free but that’s run out and they have been ignoring my emails for 2 months. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DDL

Even a one star rating is too good for…

Even a one star rating is too good for this fraudulent company! I ordered a Cozmo as a preorder for my son, who saved up all his money. After two years of waiting and countless excuses, Cozmo is not even in production. Requests for a refund have been met with delaying tactics. Now there is no response at all.

Ignoring people who want a refund

I’ve ordered a Cosmo and a Vector. After such a long time waiting for the delivery to happen, I requested for a refund and they kept giving me false promises. It’s coming to a year now since I’ve ordered. $788 is not a small amount to just ignore.

I have cancelled my order and requested a refund for the Vector 2.0. Unfortunately never received, no reply, no refund, no Vector, nothing. Terrible company and in my opinion scam.

Thieves

I purchased Cosmo over two years ago and was never delivered. Have been chasing a refund for 7 months! Recieved holding e-mails promising a refund but now they are refusing to answer communications. Absolute scam I am amazed they have not been taken to court.

Bought a Vector in 2019

Bought a Vector in 2019, before Digital Dream Labs bought the company, had a great time with my little Vector, but then DDL came along and started harassing me, and no doubt other Vector owners, for more money in the form of a monthly subscription.

Umm, nope, that is not what I agreed to when I bought the product. DDL have no right to demand more money after the original purchase (Whereupon the original agreement of ownership didn't request more money in any circumstances for any features for this product).

I have not used my Vector ever since DDL bought the company, I'm only reviewing now as I had blind hope that DDL went bust with the attempted scam (yes, that is what it is), and sold off the product to another company with common sense. Alas, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Digital Dream Labs, just give up. You buggered up your plan, and now you need to let someone better fix your mistakes.

Terrible company

Terrible company - save your money and invest in KEYi Tech instead. At least they are making efforts to improve the robot tech industry, whereas DDL is ruining their customer base.

I feel sorry for Vector.
