Do not waste your money.
I was asked to sign up to these thieves by my employer as they needed a DBS check done within 24 hours. Like many, I signed up and stupidly checked Trust Pilot afterwards. I saw the reviews so asked for a refund within 2 hours of paying and providing my ID. They sent me a few emails, a reminder to pay and a reminder to upload my documents again. Obviously I never did this as by then I'd seen the reviews and knew that this was their tactic to get more money/personal information out of people.
I then received another email asking to fill out a form for a refund. More than 24 hours later, no DBS check was made, no results and I received an email asking for my bank details and for them to keep £30 for an admin fee. This email was sent to me at 11:16pm, which was 29 hours after I asked for the refund. Again, nothing has happened, they have done no admin work for me so why should I pay £30? Also, why would anyone give their bank details over? Surely they should refund to the bank card I used like every other company?
This company is a scam and I'll be emailing Action Fraud as well as reporting it to my bank.
Before being told that I might be wrong, the people in the emails are Matt Ford and Tom Richards.
Edit June 2nd: After writing this, they have again emailed me asking for payment. This is now 40 hours after I initially paid them.
I will now be reporting them to Action Fraud.
Edit June 4th: After I reported them to Action Fraud I'd heard nothing from them, until today, when I received an email asking for payment again.
Don't use this company. The application begins and before you know it you're on the payment page where they're charging ridiculous rates. When you then don't make a payment they send you an e-mail telling you that the application is underway and you need to make payment immediately. Seriously concerned about how much data I shared with them.
Scammers. Read all the ones below as this has happened to me also. Use government site and avoid these. Do not reply to emails or calls but happy to resend payment requests again and again. Total disgrace. Should be shut down completely. I've reported them as fraudulent already. I will await the standard response from this Lisa that everyone else has received. I dealt with Matt Ford or should it be Matt Fraud. Stay away from these.
SCAM!! BOGUS COMPANY Please please please do not use, I too have been caught out trying to obtain a couple of checks for 2 employees. As others have said there is no communication with this company, the payment link doesn't appear to work (yet they repeatedly send it) but it really does as they're taking money. I paid with a credit card and have reported them as fraudulent. Wish I'd read these reviews first. Don't make the same mistake I did.
This is a complete scam. The payment screen keeps blanking out and meanwhile they are taking money out of your account. All you will get from them is more emails giving additional links to pay the £84 into. Look up their address on google maps - they dont exist! I am so mad - SCAM SCAM SCAM
I have now paid twice as they constantly bombard you with emails claiming they haven’t received payment. Was text a DBS tracking number that doesn’t exist on GOV tracking site. This company is a SCAM and you just get automated responses. I’ll contact my credit card company to report fraud but please be aware.
Dreadful company. My husband paid last week and still hasn’t received anything. We have sent them a screenshot of the money taken out of our account as they then said he hadn’t paid and now they are saying the need the forms filled out as they don’t have them! He wouldn’t have been able to apply without them! We are calling our bank and reporting this company if they don’t contact us in the next 3 hours. Paying for a 24 hours service is ridiculous and my husbands job in Africa are waiting for this one piece of paper before they issue him with his tickets! We have called and called and like everyone has said, they just go straight to a voicemail, left messages, he’s sent numerous emails. Either they are a big scam like everyone is saying or just completely incompetent. Don’t use!
PLEASE REFUND ASAP AS WE HAVE NOW GONE WITH ANOTHER COMPANY IN THE LAST 30 MINUTES AND THEYVE ISSUED IT ALREADY!!! We have already reported them to Santander.
UPDATE: We eventually got a refund. After sending emails and more screenshots and asking them to call us, someone called Jack called. He was denying we had sent payment yet again. I told him we had been investigating, as our bank had told us it was a company called ‘checks and processing’, not ‘DBS checks’. Turns out they have a sister company called this, and that telephone number doesn’t even connect, exact same address as ‘DBS checks’ and looked at it on Google earth and it’s a block of flats next to a pub. I explained this to ‘jack’ (number withheld) and he was starting to get a bit irate and argumentative. Immediately after, my husband then received an email to say they had ‘paused’ the DBS application, as we still hadn’t made payment! My husband was advised to start a fraud claim by Santander and Contact the GOV website (which we also did) and report them there as well. We also sent screen shots and information of everything we had and had experienced to the daily mail. The problem is, is that they're paying to advertise or be right at the top of Google search pages for applying for DBS certificates, when you search DBS. The amount of money that they’re paying for, for all the clicks and to stay at the very top, must outweigh the money that they’re making by doing this. I know all about google advertising, businesses and managing websites and this must be the only reasoning as to why.
About a week or more later I told my Husband to email them again and ask them to call you. ‘Jack’ then called, once again irate and in slightly argumentative tone, saying he would give us a refund and then asked me to remove my trustpilot review as it was damaging for business. I explained that this is what actually happened to us and what we had experienced and I mentioned all the other 43 people that had had exactly the same experience before us and he said the bad reviews saying the same as us, were just the customers that hadn’t been happy! He more or less said, don’t remove the review, you probably won’t get a refund. It was like he was brokering a deal. He then finally admitted that we had paid, hence him calling and offering us a refund. No apology. It was an attempt to try and make US feel guilty because of our bad experience, made by them. We recorded every call as back up as well.
It was about 2 weeks later that I asked my Husband (who’s abroad now, no thanks to them. Just go on the GOV website for a DBS report as this is where these 3rd party companies have to go anyway) if he had received the refund and we checked and we had, £84 from ‘Checks and Processing’.
I was talking to friends and family about what had happened and what we had experienced and the emails and conversations that had taken place and some of these, are people who regularly or on occasion need background checks for their jobs and my husband included (he’s always had to go via the FBI In the past, this was his first experience with a UK firm…and the very last!) and when one said they had an issue similar with a company of the same/similar name but didn’t do anything further to get their cash back (how many others have done this?) we then made the decision, not to remove this review as he had firmly asked us to do, to help others, that’s if they decide to check out any companies before they purchase anything, especially when handing over debit card details (they don’t take American Express as advertised) and a copy of your passport. Due to this experience, we have changed everything about the way we shop and purchase anything online and ALWAYS read reviews! We thank them for the refund and wish them good luck with whatever business venture they’re running, but due to their bad business dealings and customer service, we’re sure we won’t be the last one to experience all of this.

Dreadful! As others have said, monies are paid to the company for the dbs check and then they dispute receiving it. Phone lines are never answered - straight to voicemail.
Paid £84 for 24 hour service. Got an email saying I need to pay - had already paid and was on my bank transaction list!
Then another email asking me to send my ID Documents, which I will not do as this is clearly a scam. Wish I’d read the reviews before paying.

A complete scam, asking for payment again and despite having paid for a 12 hour service no results. Wished I had read the reviews before paying. No result from phoning and no response to any of my emails. Before Lisa, from communications, responds saying I have confused the company or used an incorrect email address I can assure you I have not.

I have applied for my Dbs since the 27th of September you 2022 through a company’ that is trying to employ me but up till today the 2nd of November 2022 it still shows waiting in progress or processing something along those lines . Just really wondering what the problem is

Applied for 24hours dbs check on 8th August which cost £84!!!. All they sent was email to say certificate will be sent to my address, no reference or order number. I have since called several times and sent email but as many have said in the reviews, no response and you can't get anyone to speak with. And not recieved any dbs certificate yet.
I requested for a refund but no reply to email. To think you can get a better service if you apply on the government website for £18!!!

Today 11.08.22 I recieved a letter with reference number stating dbs check is completed, i register account as detailed in letter and could see the completed document- i have not received the paper certificate yet. A little reply to calls or email would have been helpful while all this was going on.

Scammers, Tom Richards from the processing team asked me to pay £84 and I paid but never got my DBS.
The help line doesn’t exist as it’s a fake line always goes on voicemail. I have emailed them 100 times but they never got back to me. I just wasted my hard earned money £84. Don’t trust this company at any cost.

3rd party con, they charge £80 for a dbs if you use the .gov website it's under £20. Also if you try to contact the dbschecks.org people by phone it's impossible. Worst customer care ever then they refuse to refund for an incomplete application. These people are after your money they are not providing a good service, certainly not good value for your money. God knows what they do with your data details probably sell it on the black market. Avoid this scam
Reply to Lisa from dbschecks.org. Do you think its right to not inform people in big bold letters on the top off your website that you are not affiliated to the government instead you put this information in very small words at the very bottom of your website, obviously your out to mislead the public.

I applied and haven’t received even a confirmation with an order number than I called no one picks up and than I emailed and it took 48h for them to come back only to make an explanation without any order number. I have requested a refund of £84 and they didn’t reply.
They have my contact details I have proof of email replies.
Please read below their reply to me ! They are just making a word salad here when they reply to your comments to decieve people reading reviews to make it sound like you are the ones gave bad scoring did wrong with the application which is gaslighting. I luckily didn’t waste to provide any additional documents so that they can’t get more information about me. I have applied for a full refund they didn’t reply but after my Trustpilot review they reply here for me to apply for a refund. Please anyone reading this do your application via government website it’s quite cheap.
I have received my refund a month later with apologies about a glitch in their system, and that this is something that they will look at moving forward to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Scam website. Do not pay them.
I ordered my check on the promise of an email confirmation within 24 hours and after confirming all my details and paying (money left my account immediately) I have not received anything. No purchase receipt, no acknowlegement I have an outstanding order and no DBS check.
The response from Lisa 2 days ago telling you to email refund@ is false. I tried emailing this address and it does not exist on their domain.

The address you sent your message to wasn't found at the destination domain. It might be misspelled or it might not exist."
I have had no contact or attempted contact from this company, no calls, no junk/spam folder, no nothing.
AVOID.
Edit for Lisa; I did not use the wrong email address. In fact I knew you would say this and I'm not allowed to put the email address in my review so I had to take it out.
Also who replies to reviews at 5am? This is clearly a scam. I demand a refund.
