Appalling Customer Service
I purchased a Ninja coffee machine on the 05/01 for my sons 30th birthday present . On arrival it was found to have scratches on the front and one of the words rubbed off. I immediately contacted Costco who said that I would have some form of resolution in 48 hours . Nearly one month on repeated emails ,( around 5) and roughly the same amount of phone calls ,I have finally been offered £40 compensation to basically go away! I have very reluctantly accepted just because I'm sick of this dragging on . The emails from them all say basically the exact same thing and take typically 4 to 5 days to respond and even then it's like they have been copy and pasted . The most frustrating thing is they said I couldn't have a replacement because I paid on PayPal , that's a first for me !
In store Costco customer care has always been phenomenal but online is another story altogether . Suffice to say I will never buy again from the website
Pokemon collectors boxes
Ordered 2 pack of collectors boxes of Pokemon cards. The box arrived with the product inside damaged. The plastic wrap and the sleeve covering the boxes were missing. The box was damaged and it was apparent someone had gone through both boxes in the set.
Customer service did nothing to resolve as this item is non-returnable. Worthless as a collectors item now.

I expected better from Costco. My online order for a microwave was scheduled for delivery two days ago. I made sure to be home to accept the package, but the date came and went with no delivery and no notification. I am still waiting today (the 29th) with no information on when it will actually arrive. If you need an appliance by a specific date, look elsewhere. Online shopping should be convenient, not a guessing game.

I tried to view items on Costco next and the website said my Costco number wasn't valid. It works every time I go to Costco and buy something. I called customer service and I was told I have to link a credit card with a established account. I told them there is too much fraud to let them have my credit card linked to a account. I said if I buy something I will give them my cred card number. They said nope have to link my card to view and buy online. I will buy elsewhere. Won't ever be treated that way. My order is 29 November 2025 and the wrong order is still waiting for sorted. Outdoor shed with wrong doors are sent to me and customer service is not replying to my request and some staff is yelling at me for waiting her time. I do not know how long should i wait for the right doors sent to me to fix it. It almost 2 months and i had to wait for back order for the part to come. I am very disappointed to this kind of service with the big logo of Costco.
SOFA FAILED DELIVERY
If you live in a tenement building then do not order from here. They deem your building to be unsafe to deliver to, despite their website promise. I bought a sofa to be delivered. The men arrived and refused to take it to the 3rd floor even though their website states they deliver to the 3rd floor. Still waiting on communication of how they are going to deliver this. I would not buy anything from them online as every query takes at least 48 hours. Promises of getting back to you don’t materialise. Now sitting with no sofa and no communication of how they are going to deliver this and a large sum of money out of pocket. I would seriously not order any items online. Absolutely abysmal customer service compared to in-store. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I am now almost a week on with no resolution other than a refund. The customer service is the worst I have experienced in my life. I would never ever use Costco online ever again. Shambolic treatment of their customers.

Never had such a terrible online shopping experience. The customer service team are nothing short of a joke. Do not buy anything online from costco unless you want 0 customer care and support. The customer service team say they will help and solve issues and get back to you in 48 hours but never will. Im stuck with a faulty £280 item. Never again.

I ordered a 10-gram Argor gold bar from Costco on December 12 and cancelled it the same day. The refund was completed on December 15.
However, on December 15, Costco charged my card again for $1,499.99 without my authorization. I did not place a new order. I reported this as an unauthorized charge to my bank.
On December 17, FedEx delivered a package without requesting my signature. The signature on record is not mine. Costco later demanded payment and threatened collections, even though I did not authorize the transaction and offered to return the item.
This raises serious concerns about payment security and forced sales.
I do not trust Costco’s system and am sharing this to warn others.
Delivery was fast but otherwise unimpressive
The delivery team was fast - setting things up at an almost frantic pace. It was impressive and they communicated to me the items I would need to do before using each product to make sure everything worked properly. I was disappointed they couldn't help me move my old fridge down the stairs even after I did the work of taking the doors off. I ended up moving it halfway down the steps myself as they were leaving. They said they were under pressure to get things done fast (23 min. Per appliance), so under those circumstances I totally understood why they passed on taking on the project of moving the old fridge...but once I got it all ready to go and they were still around setting up my new washing machine (I ordered both to deliver the same day) it would've been so easy for them to go the extra mile. In addition I was told that moving the old appliances out or to another area of the house was part of the deal, so my expectation was not met. They also left my house a complete mess with tracks all over the floor. I didn't expect premium service, but I thought they might make a small attempt to wipe their feet or lay down something on the floor before tracking everywhere. Though speed and efficiency are impressive and they hit the mark there, the other elements of service - treating the customer's home with care and going the extra mile when it's easy to do so go a long way to creating an experience that the customer will love. Without it, my review is just "eh, mediocre at best"
Delivery team has no solutions, only complaints.
They were suppose to deliver a sofa, asked me in the delivery set up of a large box truck would fit in my drive way, I indicated “NO”. They sent one anyway, I told them to drive on my yard then if they needed to turn around but please deliver it. They said “no” because there’s snow. I said then load it in my truck and I’ll drive it to my house and grab all the pieces. They said “no”. They’re absolutely awful.
Impossible to reach customer service…
Impossible to reach customer service via phone - one hour on hold, then cut off. How can an American based company be so poorly run? Was trying to order four tyres, over £600 purchase, but the on-line system would not permit adding to the basket. Phoned store and they said the tyres are in stock, but I have to purchase on line. Impossible task. But the on-line system would not work, so I needed help -- and could not get it. Costco is great when shopping in person. But this instance has really soured me. And I am the eight ever person to sign up for a Costco membership - in Kirkland when it was called PriceClub.

Our Fridge broke down and we ordered a new one from Costco because they were showing the earliest delivery times. Delivery was scheduled five days after it broke (January 5th). The truck came in but they wouldn't deliver because there wa snow on the ground. Then I went online and rescheduled it for Friday (the 9th). Then I am tracking their delivery on the 9th and they are showing January 16h delivery date!!! We are without a fridge for over a week already and the customer service rep is like we can't do anything about it the earliest you can get it is the 15th. Zero accountability, ridiculous service. DO NOT BUY

Our family loves Costco......in store! Tires and accompanying services are the best. BUT I will never order online, again. First, the website is terrible. How can such a large, organized and successful business fail so miserably? Due to surgery and unable to drive the 15 min to Costco, I ordered just ONE case of Nurri Protein Shakes on December 30, 2025. I FINALLY received the order today, January 7, 2026. It was, supposedly, shipped on the day ordered. So, it took an entire week to get to us?!? In that time, several family members and friends dropped off cases at my home. They, too, were surprised and disappointed in Costco, and will NOT be using their website.

I live UPSTAIRS. I am 76 years old, female, and Disabled with NO ONE to Carry packages upstairs.

$4 to $8 Added To Each Item When Delivered
I purchased 12 items online for delivery, totalling $311. After checking prices at the warehouse, I found Costco charging $4 to $8 more per online item than the in-store price. It's a scam!

Last November I bought a Laptop from Costco. I was travelling to India. I bought a recurring Costco membership. Upon return, in January, I tried to close the membership online but failed. I called and CS said: "Your membership is good to the end but there will be no recurring charge.
Then, last week $49.99 fee NOT for Costco but for Geek Squad (maybe hidden inside the Costco, I don't know.) I call Costco, talk to a fellow in Honduras for half an hour: I have closed the membership, you will not be charged again, but you must travel to the store to get a refund?" Huh?
The store is a 2-hour drive 70 miles (140km) one-way. That is just insane. So I contest the charge on my Sears/Citi CC. But Citi puts me back w/ Geek Squad who says: "We have closed your membership but the system says: $0 refund." Ok...it's now closed a 3rd time? And then I must travel for 5 hours and 140km to get my $49.99 back? No.
If Citi does not honor the chargeback, I am stuck. But, I will go to my local Small Claims Court and pay $150 and ask BOTH Costco + Geek Squad for $150 for costs + $49.99 for the improper charge + $280 for my time. (Note: No judge will give me "time," but if they do a no-show, the judge is likely to do that. I'll pay the $49.99 and dun Geek Squad for $479.99 and do a short YouTube video on the process as this really sucks.
I hope they wise up and just accept the chargeback.

Horrible! I bought a jacket for Christmas, it never arrived, I complained and they send me a link which is an app that requires paid subscription!!!! It is over a month and nothing, I asked for refund and they say no that I need to be patient !!!! I am so mad at this scam. Please do not buy Costco online.
