I too was looking for the quick loan online and came across them, to my determent it seems. One of the steps to confirm my identity was to allow them to charge a fee of 9p, which should be paid back into from my bank account. A Day or so later another and to me a huge charge of £19.99 was taken from my account of the 3rd Oct that I never agreed to, and to my horror again today 31st Oct yet another £19.99 was taken. How can any company do this without ones consent? Especially to those who where looking to raise a loan??????. They have NO telephone contact number! Ummm wonder why? and one can only contact them via an automated on line email..
I can ill afford the £39.98 they have illegally taken from my account without authorisation so far.. Is there anyone out there that can help.
Credit Chum if you read this have the decency to refund me ASAP, I will be contacting my bank to ensue no further charges via your dishonourable firm are accepted.

I have never heard of this company, I enquired into another company and I paid £20 for a phone topup? Then this company decides to take £19.99 out my bank I have asked for prove of me signing or ticking a box for credid chum to take my money because I didn’t sign anything I’m also going thru my bank this is terrible to treat people like this how can they sleep at night knowing what they are doing is wrong😡

I never signed up for a membership with these and today they have too 19.99 out of my bank I have tried contacting them and still no reply..as reading down the comments they have done this to numerous people over past week.if I do not get my money refunded i will be contacting fraud team With my bank

It’s Impossible to get in touch with anyone…
I got a text message saying I’d been approved for a loan so I went through everything, I gave them permission to take 9p out my bank but when I looked at my bank they took 19.99 out, I’ve got four kids to look after, they’ve took my money and just ignored me ever since, live chat is never available all you can do is email and nobody replies to any messages

I was applying for a loan once I got to the end of the application form they did a 0.09 bank check which was fine but I definitely did not sign up for them to take £19.99 a month out of my account.so would you be so kind to put the money back into my account I hereby give you 48 hrs notice in which to do so other wise you will leave me no option to instruct my solicitor to file for a law suit against.
Further more why are your reply’s to people/customers automatically generated.
I look forward to hearing from you and has of from this day you will no longer be able to take money/monies from my account.

I’ve sent emails after email for my refund when I didn’t agree for £19.99 to be taken out my account, they left me short and took the last bit of money I had which I needed for my children’s pack lunch!
Never replied to any emails.

This company as you will already know are a scam. They pretend to offer unsecured loans, they present you a loan offer quoting loan amount repayment amounts and "typical terms and conditions" for the loan, and say they require 9 pence from your card to prove your identity before they can pay out. once you do this you have been signed up to a £30 a month useless coupon club. They are not a loan company.
If you have been scammed by them I suggest that you go to the website of "companies House", search "credit chum" and then extract their details and report them to their local trading standards authority that is what I have done you can also report them to the financial conduct authority, and the police.
All of this should be done in both the company name and the director's name (provided on companies house website) because the buck as they say stops with them.
Please be sure to order a new card to change your debit card details because they will keep trying to take around £30 out
The entire point of the company is to fleece vulnerable people who are on the breadline. They have permeated almost all of the credit brokers with the tags #benefits #lowincome #disabilitybenefits because they think we're too stupid or sick to fight our corner.
So if you don't get accepted for a loan with any legit direct loan providers: credit chum will appear.
They can be reported for :
Fraud by misrepresentation.
Gaining money by deception.
This alone will trigger a trading standards AND police investigation. They are also attempting to build the status of the companies bank account, probably to commit more white collar crime.
If possible try again but don't pay the 9 pence! Just screenshot the page that asks you for the 9 pence because this contains the phoney "loan offer" a Facebook group is being setup to create a community of people that have been affected by these fraudsters conmen and thieves and discussions with producers from the Martin Lewis Show are already taking place through WhatsApp.
Let's kick up a stink and stop them taking money from the poor.

Simply a scam
Simply a scam. Swift action must be taken to protect the public from these people. They send you a message and con desperate people to their website with a promise that they will get you a loan. They ask for account details to verify your account and next thing boom, £19.99 is gone. Moreover they don’t provide their phone numbers. Please can they provide their phone numbers and email on this platform. I have written to the FCA and Ombudsman to review the language of their website and I still have the SMS they sent me that stated they will get me a loan. Secondly I want my money back as I have Consumer Rights to cancel any agreement with them within 14 days. Thirdly they did not inform me they will be taking money out of my account. I spoke to my bank and I have a code from my bank for Creditchum to do the refund, so please can I have the correct email on this platform.

STAY AWAY THEY TAKE MONEY WITHOUT GIVING A LOAN
Applied for a load through these and authorised a transaction thinking this was for repayment of a loan. I did not knowingly sign up to the credit score side of it yet I woke up Sunday morning to £19.99 taken from my account. To make things worse I never needed up getting a loan and it look the last of my money so I can't feed myself or my child for the next week or travel to work. Thanks credit chum!

Absolute SCAM don’t use take 0.09p out the bank so I could request a loan didn’t sign up to there services and then 19.99 get taken out my account fraudulently by these people I am investigating this with my bank also I have requested a full refund from them but I doubt I’ll get a reply Stay away people

Seems like a scam
Wish I would have checked the reviews prior to using this company.
As all the below reviews state, I was asked to authorise a payment of 0.09p for a loan that had been approved.
I then noticed they had charged me £19.99.
I have emailed them immediately, (less than 5 minutes) after they charged me and am now awaiting a response.
I have made it clear I do not want to use their services and would like a refund for the £19.99.
I will be contacting my bank in the morning during the opening hours to notify them of this fraudulent payment.
Please look into this for me.

Scammers beware !!!!Much the same applies here I have had…
Much the same applies here I have had money taken from my account I never signed up to the credit report side of things and sent you supposed to get 28 days free even if you do anyhow, the money was taken from my account several days after this scam loan, I have tried twice asking for a full refund to be left with no acknowledgement by email what a big scam company as suggested do not use

Creditchum is a scam company. Is offering you a loan, to the final steps is asking to approve a 0.09p to withdraw from your account, the offer for loan disappear and you will have to pay a £19.99 monthly membership for them, which you never agree to.

Absolutely scam of a company. If you click the DONT subscribe button they still take £19.99 out of your account. They’ll reply that they are transparent when you sign up but they are not. They will take money out of your account without your permission
