How is this fraudulent company still operating? They have taken 2 payments of £19.99 from me now without my consent. I emailed them and they said they are processing me a refund which would take 7 days.. that was 14 days ago!!! Stay well clear from them

I was looking for a quick pay day loan for a emergency, credit chum wanted 9 pence from my account to ensure correct bank details, i then clicked to continue for payday loans not the credit chum membership subscription, they still took £19.99, the reason i was looking for a payday loan for a emergency and credit chum cleared out my bank account. I was told a 0.09 pence charge would be taken from my bank, however when I checked you had taken 19.99 and left me in financial difficulty with 3 children. Same thing happened to me. They told me that they gonna charge me 9 pence ( 0.09 pounds) for checking my card ( by the way, a serious lender can check a card by charging you 0.00 pounds, they ask you those details only for verification purpose), and after 2 days they charged me an additional 19.99 pounds
THEY NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT ANY SUBSCRIPTION WHEN I ENTERED MY DETAILS
They just rely on the fact that when you tick the box of accepting the terms and conditions you agree with this subscription. THIS IS WRONG!!! Any kind of subscription has to be asked VERY CLEAR when a lender or any other entity ask for it.
Be advised that this is a MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION and if you don't take the necessary measures they gonna charge you every month with 19.99 pounds

AVOID!!! SCAMMERS!!!
Awful company. Clearly they are scamming and misleading vulnerable people to make themselves a quick few £££. They don’t reply to emails and a phone number is close to impossible to find. They have the audacity to reply to other posts on here saying they are a legit company, and don’t charge anything without permission but it’s just a copy and pasted message to all replies. Clearly by the hundreds of bad reviews they do not make it clear that they will be charging you £19.99. They did make it clear there would be a £0.09 charge, but wrongly lead me and hundreds of others to believe that this will release funds for a short term or payday loan. Very misleading, they know exactly what they are doing. Hopefully they are investigated and shut down very soon.
If they have charged you contact your bank and request a reversal - Explain it’s led you to financial difficulties and how misleading this company are, also ask them to check trust pilot reviews. My bank reversed the transaction.

I tried applying for a loan and 9p was taking for bank card checks ehich was fine. I didnt sign up for 19.99 to be taken. I read no such thing for that to be taken. I would like my momey refunded as you have left myself and child vulnerabile.i have also email woth no reply.

Credit Chum is a subscription-based service that provides many benefits including access to various offers, an opportunity to access your credit report, Credit Chum Protect and additional insights via your social report.
We are transparent throughout our sign-up process that this is a £19.99 per month subscription-based service, and it is the choice of the user on whether they wish to sign-up to the service. To become a member of Credit Chum and for the payment to be taken you must agree to the terms and conditions of the service and complete the sign-up process.
Of course, we understand that this service may not be the right solution for everyone, so should you feel the service is not right for you then there is no obligation for you to sign-up. If you choose not to sign up for the service, then you will not have access to Credit Chum and you will not be charged the £19.99 subscription fee.
We would like to make it clear that Credit Chum does not charge users for applying for a loan (nor is it stated that you are approved for a loan), the monthly payment that we charge is to enable us to provide the services outlined above.
