I had fraud transactions
I had fraud transactions, and they worked at speed to investigate, and within 20 hours the money was returned to my account, which i was very impressed with. I have been with the co-operative bank for years and they have always been transparent and have kept me in the loop with everything/

Took my overdraft away
Took my overdraft away, I had no knowledge then started to chase me for money owed, that was within the agreed overdtaft. Never went over unauthorised well within, yet withdrew the overdraft, told me my account would be terminated and want the £160 overdraft balance with immense pressure.
I have not breached any rules, mismanaged my account other than according to them stay in my agreed overdraft for a certain period.
I have several other banks for many years Lloyds and Barclays never had this trouble, harsh treatment and excessive handling.

It is very difficult to actually get to…
It is very difficult to actually get to talk to anyone at the Co-Operative Bank. The phone lines are woefully under-manned and there are very few branches to access. Decisions are made on credit ratings with no -one actually able to overturn them and make a professional judgement.
We have been customers since 2001 and have regulalry deposited two professional monthly salaries. For the last 7 years, our monthly £1000 overdraft (sometimes dipped into, but largely there as a safety net) has been automatically cancelled when it has been 'up' for its annual review. It never is communicated to us with an explanation, and it has been incumbent on me to enter into a lengthy period of dispute with the bank (minumum six weeks) to ascertain why this action been taken. If I can get actually get through to speak to someine (see above), the answers vary from 'We don't have that information' to 'It's probably your credit rating'. Sending screen shots of our excellent credit rating with Experian and Equifax cuts no ice with Smile. I am then forced to escalate my repsonse to formal disputes and complaints, again with no reason continually being given for the overfdraft renewal refusal. I have never been able to speak to a senior manager to have a considered, personalalised conversation about this . The pattern ususually contiunues with me consistently challenging the decision, refusing to back down, and then there is a sudden volte face by the bank, overturning the refusal of an overdraft via e-mail. Again, no explanation is ever given about why we are now suddenly eligible again for an overdraft. It's all highly illogical, deeply frustrating and highly time consuming.

My transactions were dealt with efficiently and sympathetically as I dithered at one point. So useful to have bank I can go into. I use the Internet but as I am elderly it takes me a long time and I just need help from a person. I get it from my bank.
