Recently I have needed to consult with the bank and its representatives on two occasions. In both (all) situations: I have received the most courteous and patient response. My explanations of requirement were treated with understanding and knowledgeable explanations. I did request that the bank review their interest rates....not within their capacity. But very grateful for advice and help.08

A friendly bank for ordinary folk like me
What I like about the Co-operative Bank is that you know you're dealing with a trustworthy establishment. I've been banking with the Co-operative Bank for more than 40 years and I've always found the people on the end of the phone easy to talk to; they listen; they help. And using the website is easy to do too.

Great ethics and service
I opened a Co-op Bank account almost 40 years ago, because of ethical policy, then moved to their online/phone version Smile which was one of the first accounts of this type and has always been very easy for me to access and get help if needed. Very glad ethical policy still going, as still needed.

It actually really great now a days to be able to go into a branch and do what you need to do instead of doing everything online . It's a good personal experience when physically going into the co-operative bank they offer the best service staff are always helpful and friendly.

I had fraud transactions
I had fraud transactions, and they worked at speed to investigate, and within 20 hours the money was returned to my account, which i was very impressed with. I have been with the co-operative bank for years and they have always been transparent and have kept me in the loop with everything/

Took my overdraft away
Took my overdraft away, I had no knowledge then started to chase me for money owed, that was within the agreed overdtaft. Never went over unauthorised well within, yet withdrew the overdraft, told me my account would be terminated and want the £160 overdraft balance with immense pressure.
I have not breached any rules, mismanaged my account other than according to them stay in my agreed overdraft for a certain period.
I have several other banks for many years Lloyds and Barclays never had this trouble, harsh treatment and excessive handling.
