Excellent delivery time, price and quality products. Parasol cover fits two for storage in garage. Egg chair cover can be tucked under base frame to secure and cover completely.

Received exactly what I expected, in a timely way, with no damage. The table and chairs look great. (All tools for assembly were included in the box) Would definitely recommend.

Still waiting….

Lovely item but with tiny damage when delivered. Customer service were very good and kindly offered me £10 compensation which I thought was fair as item was still usable. I agreed to that and that was the last I heard from them. So despite their promise I have yet to receive the money back on my card and I did send them a reminder too.

Garden furniture covers

Product fine - delivery slow, 7 working days instead of 3

The table and chairs when they eventually arrived are great. No issue with the product, but the delivery by DX took ages. It was meant to be a 3 day delivery, it ended up being a 10 day ( 7 working days) delivery. It seem to sit at the depot or at Charles Bentley for days. No communication ahead, if you tell me at 9:45 on the day that you are delivering between 8 and 18:00 there is little planning I can do. No card left, no didn't even know they had attempted to deliver. Next day waited all day, no show. Note there is a telephone number hidden on the DX website, after 3 call hung up on me, I eventually spoke to a human! I expect better! This would stop me from ordering again.

I am sorry that you experienced these issues with your delivery form us. Unfortunately, DX recently experienced a significant backlog at their main hub due to exceptionally high parcel volumes and the impact of recent extreme temperatures. This led to delays in processing inbound trailers and moving shipments through their network.

Fabric ripping after 2 weeks!

Bought 2 director’s chairs via Amazon website. The fabric is starting to rip on both chairs. Refund system on Amazon is proving to be difficult- still in warranty but so much hassle to send back. Really wished I hadn’t bought them.

Barbecue still not recieved!

Placed order on the 23rd of June, its now the 2nd July and still my barbecue has not been delivered. Messaged them through amazon and their responses are poor!
Changed the status on amazon to say delivery attempted, which was not true as I spoke to courier and it wasn't even on the van that day!
Just hope I can get a refund if it doesnt arrive tomorrow as it was ordered for a special family Birthday
Update now lost 5 and a half days waiting for promised deliveries. This is competely beyond a joke now.
Item eventually arrived.
Charles Bentley really need to work on the communications and certainly need to use a different courier!

Poor quality control.
Garden bench arrived damaged.
They want me to pay postage for return.

Great quality products bought two

Great quality products bought two. Look lovely in the garden. Good delivery service there was some damage to the boxes but this could have been the fault of the courier. Well packaged on inside so no damage. Well pleased.

We have spent nearly 2k on furniture…

We have spent nearly 2k on furniture that has still not arrived and with no plan to deliver. Nobody calls back and I have been calling on the hour every hour today after previous emails and calls were unsuccessful over the last few weeks.

You reply is totally untrue .I have instigated all correspondence and your replies have highlighted your own failings .After highlighting the wrong address details and me excepting this as a geniune mistake you again sent the products out to the same address after being told .When phoning the Customer care( who were very polite and professional) every hour for four hours we were then told it was escalated to the Management Team. I Then received an email stating the issues which were you failing to update the address .I was then offered a solution on where part of the order could be delivered and still had to wait for the other part.I wasn't offered any compensation even though the furniture was heavily reduced in a recent sale.On the back of this I decided to cancel the order and as of today you still haven't refunded the money .

We're sorry that you have been disappointed with your experience. However, we do feel the review does not fully reflect the circumstances of this order.
As discussed with you directly by both phone and email, the issue stemmed from an outdated delivery address held on your Tesco account. Once we became aware of the problem, we made every effort to resolve the matter, including arranging replacement shipments and attempting to resend the goods. Unfortunately, these delivery attempts were rejected and could not be completed.
Throughout the process, we remained in regular contact and worked to find a suitable resolution. While we appreciate your frustration, we believe the difficulties experienced were not due to a lack of action or support from our side.

Returns Policy

My review has been written to act as a warning for other customers (learn from my mistake if you like) I purchased a clock but when it came it was too big for the area I intended in for. I accept I should have measured more carefully but then when it came to returning it !
A cost of 20.00 to do so …
If I had known this I wouldn’t have bought a Charles Bentley item ! A expensive lesson for me

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful, and even worse customer service! Purchased a gas BBQ and within less than 6 months in was rotten. We even purchased the cover that goes with it and when not in use is stored in the garage and it’s completely rotten!

We had email correspondence, and where told it was fair wear and tear despite being 6month old I wouldn't have expected it to rust, especially at the cost. We tried contacting again on numerous occasions but are emails where ignored. Please think twice before purchasing .

We have reviewed the BBQ purchased from Debenhams .
The lifespan of a BBQ can vary significantly depending on how often it is used, how it is cleaned and maintained, and how it is stored when not in use. Regular maintenance, such as cleaning after use, lubricating moving parts, and keeping the BBQ covered only when it is completely dry (or ideally storing it indoors during periods of non-use), can help to prolong its life.
It is also important to note that some components, including burner covers, flame tamers and drip trays, are considered consumable parts. These items are exposed to high temperatures, grease, moisture and the elements during normal use and will naturally deteriorate over time, requiring periodic replacement.
Unfortunately, as the BBQ is now outside of its warranty period. As a result, we are unable to offer a warranty replacement or repair on this occasion.
We are sorry we cannot provide a more favourable outcome, but we hope this clarifies our position.

Missing box

Ordered a garden swing 2 large boxes , one box came no sign of other , got intouch explained very helpful missing box sorted , few days later it came same box as 1st one still box no 2 missing called up again , again helpful, I'm now waiting on todays box being collected tomorrow between 8 am and 6 pm once they receive this my missing box will be despatch( let's hope its right one this time) another day of re arranging for someone to be home
Very poor service up to now , fingers crossed the correct parcel arrives this time and the weather is still nice to be able to appreciate the swing

Update correct parcel received and the incorrect parcel returned .
Swing put together and overall very pleased, swing is sturdy and very well made, very happy with purchase customer services was good, DX who made the delivery error very poor so overall Charles Bentley swing 10 /10
