Hi Malcom, I noticed that you’ve left us with two devastating 1-star reviews indicating that you did not receive any answer to your enquiries… as I’m running the show all by myself, I can guarantee you that I did not receive any questions prior to your reviews, so my best guess is that either your message would somehow end up misplaced (e.g. spam folder) or weren’t delivered at all. Understand that customer satisfaction is everything to me, and thus I’d like to help you to the best of my ability.
In regards to your order #1575 I see that it’s currently with UK customs for which you should receive a letter in regards to the handling of VAT surcharges or similar. Did you check the track and trace links in your account? The track and trace link from parcel force actually shows that your parcel was already delivered today?!
So kindly let me know if something is not right here and needs further investigation. Because from where I’m standing you might’ve send out two 1-star reviews while acquiring your two brake free shortly after…
If this is the case, I kindly ask you to reevaluate your decision of leaving two 1-star reviews… as it seems it was perhaps send prematurely… understand that I will do whatever that’s in my power to attain a high degree of customer satisfaction and would like to find out what went wrong during your delivery process.

A brilliant brake light.
My brake free light did exactly what was on the box. It worked perfectly and I felt reassured that it helped following motorists see me clearly. I was happy with my purchase.
However, the mode change button needs to be slightly more prominent as it’s difficult to press down.
Also although a great product, I thought the price was a bit high at over £200, once vat etc was added.
But all in all a well made strong brilliant product. 5 star for sure.

Communication from the company was very good.
I only marked 4 Stars as there was a delay in getting the product due to shipping issues and product demand Waited nearly 6 weeks for it to arrive. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

FINALLY received the product, after much delay!
As an enthusiast excited about the Brake Free Tech EU helmet light, my anticipation was met with a series of disappointments, primarily due to the shipping process. My order, placed on October 10th, was initially promised for the end of October. However, it encountered delays, a situation not entirely uncommon in today's logistics landscape. It took a total of 49 days to receive the product!
The first delay was communicated, although further delay happened which lacked communication, until my inquiry at the end of October. This added to my frustration. This was compounded when I discovered that my order, initially meant to be shipped via DHL Express (which I paid extra for!), was downgraded to DHL Parcel. This switch to a slower service, especially after an already prolonged wait, felt like a disregard for customer satisfaction and a breach of agreement. The total shipment time was eight days from Netherlands to Greece, rather than the 2-3 days DHL Express boasts in their own material. The delay was mostly at a facility in Germany, Feucht, where it stood still for five days. Googling the facility, nothing but horror stories are found. This time I seem to have been lucky it was only 5 days at the facility.
My experience echoes a larger trend with DHL, a company that once held a reputation for efficiency but now struggles with slow delivery times, poor communication, and a tendency to hold shipments unnecessarily. These operational issues, stemming from their challenges in competing with larger carriers in the U.S. and subsequent decline in service quality, have unfortunately impacted my experience as an end customer. 97% 1 star reviews (of over TEN THOUSAND) on Trustpilot, also backs this up.
While I still believe in the value of the product and want to support its presence in the market, my experience with the shipping aspect leaves much to be desired. The choice of a shipping partner is crucial in customer satisfaction, and my experience with DHL through Brake Free Tech EU has been underwhelming. It could have gone faster if they used the bought shipment preference, although, I still believe it would have been bad, considering it would still be DHL.
Nevertheless, it's important to acknowledge the prompt, polite, and empathetic responses from Joao at Brake Free Tech EU when I reached out for updates. This level of customer service did provide some relief amidst the shipping issues.
To consider using Brake Free Tech EU again, I would need assurance of a more reliable shipping partner. I am giving a three-star rating as a nod to the potential of the product itself and the commendable customer service from Joao, in the hope that my feedback contributes to an improved customer experience in the future (where shipment paid for is also honored).

Tolles Produkt, es funktioniert perfekt.
Ich habe schon das Teil in der Gründungsphase gesehen und wollte es sofort haben. Leider konnte man früher nur in den Staaten bestellen und es wurde dort auch nur geliefert. Motorrad fahren in der Dämmerung wird viel sicherer, oder bei Fahrten durch Wälder. Ich habe noch ein kleines Haus in Schweden, das ist echt super und es gibt ein sicheres Gefühll wenn man mit Brakefree unterwegs ist.

Brilliant bit of kit and works as it should.
Beware - if you purchase from in the uk you will have an import tax of £48 to pay before it's delivered.
This makes it over £200 which is just too much in my opinion.

Brake free - any good ?
As a novice rider I elected to buy the brake free product to increase my visibility when slowing down as engine braking on bikes often causes me not to touch the brakes. Vehicles seem to allow me extra space with the l plates and this device which is comforting. My only criticism is the on/off switch which is not capable of being used with gloves and does not respond quickly - hopefully this will last. Otherwise battery life and function seems good....

Waited long - but worth it…
My parcel was supposed to be delivered by 22/08/2023 and I eventually received the parcel on 01/09/2023 at our local Post Office. Seems that our local Customs/Post Office was the cause of the delay. Even if it will be more expensive I think a courier company will be better than a postal service.
The quality of the unit is great and the installation was easy. Should provide good visibility for traffic approaching from behind and more safety.

Great product to improve motorbikers' safety
The Brake Free light has improved my safety a lot when I ride motorcycle as I use the engine brake a lot in the twisties, for example. The "brake/stop" light on the back of my helmet has also increased my visibility to the car/truck drivers behind me. I notice that they automatically tend to increase the safety distance, the cars/vans don't stick to me so much anymore and I feel much safer on the roads and in the traffic jam.
