It was a good experience overall. The light came with all its necessary accessories including an XL and regular size clip for the back of your helmet. There was a problem with the express shipping but they quickly resolved it and sent an email explaining the situation.

Amazing company
Amazing company, I seriously feel that motorcycle riders needs to be more visible on the road and what better way to achieve it other than an automated brake light on your helmet. It's so bright and can be clearly seen without blinding people behind you, you are at all times visible. This product is a long lasting product, i have used it for 2 years everytime i'm on the bike. High quality product, waterproof and worth every penny. Support are very good as well.

Nous avons le modèle blanc 2024 et il fonctionne à merveille. Très bonne luminosité, détecteur au top et qualité de construction irréprochable. Nous l’echangeons d’un casque a l’autre très facilement grace aux 2 supports vendus avec. La batterie avec une durée de vie raisonnable. Cela vaut largement le prix demandé, surtout que les autres vehicules nous voit BEAUCOUP plus!!! Pourquoi les constructeurs de casques n’y ont pas pensés avant!!! Recommandé a 100%!!! Bonne route :)

The best things really do come in small packages
First off, how nice it was to receive a personalised handwritten letter in the box, thanking me for my purchase and helping the Brake Free Tech mission - a genuinely nice touch which made me want to go the extra mile myself and leave a review.
The Brake Free is SUPER bright, exceptionally light and yet solid and really well fabricated. I am impressed by the packaging, quality of instructions, inclusion of everything you need for the install, and the battery charge speed.
I feel much safer knowing I have it on, notice people give me more space, and find it reassuring to know I have such long battery life with the added benefit of knowing I have an option to leave it on the bike in pulsing mode should I ever break down. I'm seriously impressed.
I've seen people commenting here on the high cost. I think the price point is right. 'Reassuringly expensive' ;) ... and by that, I mean that it's clearly made from quality components with excellent R&D and QA... from the materials chosen, to the battery quality, responsiveness during deceleration and of course the 100 high performance LEDs - the viewing angle is something else!
The only suggestions I could possibly make for design of a v2 would be - a change from micro USB to USB-C, a definition of what the 3 modes are in the quick start guide not just the downloadable manual, and finally the QR code to leave a review wouldn't work for me to leave a Google review using Firefox, but Chrome got me there.
Initially, I was curious about how easy the button was going to be for me to use - when I first attached it to the helmet, I was instinctively trying to push it from above with my thumb - doing it like that, it seems quite stiff. I subsequently found that once you're wearing your lid, you are reaching around and holding the Brake Free between your thumb on its base and index finger on the top instead. A simple squeeze like that (before putting gloves on) activates the button in a very responsive and consistent manner. You don't ever need to touch it with gloves on as it even has an autostandby feature which saves battery if no movement is detected when you pull over to take a breather.
You can see I was really clutching at straws to identify ANY potential improvements! My only real gripe (this is not a negative against the company nor product) is that I was charged an unexpected further £44 for import duty. I lay blame firmly at the door of the twits who voted for Brexit, but a heads-up on the website, a slight discount here for orders from the UK, or the use of a UK distributor would be welcomed.
Overall, this is a 5 star product with service to match - great work, team! Thanks for providing the biking community with such a unique, well designed product that solves a very real and serious flaw in traditional motorcycle brake lights (no indication of engine braking or differentiation between normal and emergency braking); this is clearly a project executed with passion... may you go from strength to strength.

The product is great but it is very overpriced for what it is. Also, make sure you have a clear area at the back of your helmet for the stick-on mounting
The product is great but it is very over-priced for what it is. The stick-on fixing relies on the helmet being flat and unobstructed at the rear centre, not all helmets have that.. I fitted mine on a full-face MTB helmet that has ventilation holes all over. I managed to work around it but it's be better to have some alternative options, such as dual side mounts instead of just one in the middle. It might be an idea to offer the fitting template for download so that users can check this before buying.

We strive to offer a high-quality, innovative product, but I recognize that value perception can vary, especially based on individual needs and helmet designs. Your input about the mounting system is very insightful—while our mount is designed to be universal, helmets with complex designs, like those with ventilation holes, can indeed pose challenges. We tend to typically say that the entire mount should stick to the helmets surface but 'fail tests' have proven that if even 60% of the 3M is attached to the helmet this will still allow for a secure installation of Brake Free sturdy enough to handle every day riding. However, considering you are talking in regards to a MTB helmet (like my FOX Proframe) it can become more challenging finding a suitable mounting location of your unit/mount. As I expect that you are riding off-road as well, the riding conditions are more challenging which can pose a concern for the unit and mount. In that regard it's definitely advised to make sure all corners of the 3M VHB adhesive is attached to the helmet.
I appreciate your suggestion for alternative mounting options, such as dual side mounts. This is something we can certainly take into consideration for future designs. However, we offer a downloadable fitting template ahead of purchase through our support page which allows customers to ensure compatibility, and if that wouldn't suffice we offer chat/email and even visual video support to make sure the combination of brand/make helmets with Brake Free are compatible.
Nonetheless we do appreciate all feedback and the time it took you to write out your thoughts to us, thank you again for your constructive feedback!

This excellent tool solves the problem that happens to motorcyclists by being re-ended by car drivers who don't realise we are slowing down by engine braking as we release the throttle. This sensors we are de-accelerating and illuminates to warn drivers. Only four stars review as the on/off switch is fiddly and often takes two or more attempts to work.

As you may be aware, international shipments, including those to Malaysia, often require local taxes and import fees to be paid upon delivery. Since your order was ex VAT, it’s subject to your local import rules, and UPS was right to collect these charges on behalf of customs. Simple Awesome
Product is very simple to use and actually does what it claims to do from the box.
As an avid motorcycle rider, being more visible is one of the most important defense that we can use to minimize our risk to getting into an accident. Especially when we are slowing down using the engine brake because it doesn't trigger the bike's brake light. However, with Brake Free, I feel safer and more visible even if I engine brake because the device actually does its purpose. To signal that I am slowing down.

Hi I purchased my Second Brake Free
Hi I purchased my Second Brake Free
And I had a little Problem , with the White Brake Free I Bought. For some Reason I was trying to put the mount onto the Back of My New Bell Srt. But no matter how I Tried . The Mount would stick to the Helmet ok. But the Brake Free would not connect to the mount. I tried 2 different mounts I had purchased before. And strangely the Brake Free would connect to the small mount But not the xl mount. I Emailed Brake Free. They got straight back to me. And they sent me out 2 more Mounts. But Unfortunately my Brake Free would still only fit onto the Smaller Mount. So I Put the mount onto my Brake Free Then with the guide in place. I pushed the Brake Free onto the Helmet as hard as I could, and it Heald.
