Service issues
I was informed my delivery would be delayed because they were out of stock for what I ordered so that was already around 6 weeks delay. The actual delivery process was fine once back in stock , I was contacted and able to preference the date that worked for me. While building I realised there was a defect on the top piece so was able to get in contact and Birlea offered a full replacement. I would have preferred to have just got the top piece replaced as this was the only issue. It just doesn’t seem environmentally conscious. I also already spent 3 evenings building the first one so it was annoying that I now have to build it all over again. The second delivery was a bit of an issue, I had an email and message asking me to confirm what date I wanted it delivered, I hadn’t had a chance to respond to this on the day and then the delivery turned up the next morning when I wasn’t expecting it. Fortunately I was home but they had arranged to collect the old one same day so I had to quickly arrange with Derek the driver if he could take it fully built. Derek was really helpful and accommodating so it turned out ok in the end. I’ve yet to build this second one but I’m hoping there are no defects this time.
