I am so frustrated by the clear dishonesty taking place at Apple’s trade in partner. Sent in a pristine, complete original iPhone SE v3 in for trade in against an iPhone 17. Had to chase up the t... Zobacz więcej

Do not under any circumstances use…
Do not under any circumstances use Apple trade in. Just the same as others, sent iPhone XS Max in perfect condition and value was reduced to 0 due Multiple cracks/missing camera lens. Have now received the phone back and they’ve trashed it with scratches and smashed camera glass. No doubt taken parts of mine to use on another phone. Because I was stupid enough to trust Apple I didn’t take photos of the undamaged phone so I guess nothing I can do. Music Magpie did exact same 3-4 years ago so I guess I’m the idiot for not learning my lesson
Despite all the bad reviews
Despite all the bad reviews. I contacted the company directly as there was an issue with Delivery. all sorted over the phone.Very professional representative. Email received and to my surprise value increased for my iMac. great Service
If only had of read this first
If only had of read this first. Previous iPad I traded in with Curry’s in the shop. This time decided Instead to go via Apple on line.
Yep same as others in this string. This iPad is in pristine condition valued at £130. Email today telling revised to new value of zero due to LCD streaks and bleeding screen. Luckily just within the 14 days sale of goods act.
So took my pad into an apple store to do the trade in and they ran a diagnostic. And they came back with this screen bleed. What this is when they run this test is it shows the screed in a light format and you can see if you look carefully a slight haze in the centre.
So clever trick of Apple tempt you in with trade in, you thinking I-pad in perfect condition. Apple do a clever deep test to show something that is not visible under any normal circumstance.
What a scam, and it’s not their partner it is apple.
Samsung here I come
Apple should not associate itself with this company
It is a shame that a company like Apple associates itself with this company. I have asked for the return of my traded in iPad. Will return my new iPad and go and buy a Samsung product.
I may be only one person but if enough people complain and stop buying their products maybe they will stop using this disreputable company.
Don't use; an absolute waste of time
An absolute waste of time. I traded in my iPad pro that was in great condition only to be told rather than £140 it was worth £0 because of 'screen bleed'. This company give Apple a bad name.
Avoid at all costs!
I really wish I’d looked into this prior to upgrading! A complete scam like other reports here my trade in value was reduced to £0 stating missing lense and cracks! I’m beginning to wonder if apple ever fitted a lense! It’s not good enough from Apple I wish I’d never bothered now!
rubbish service
sent them my immaculate ipad air, valued at £70. received email dropping value to £0 as the case was cracked( it wasn't when I sent it). They even showed a photo of the damage in my account. Asked for ipad to be sent back, and it's a modern miracle, the alleged damage has disappeared. Plainly they hoped I wouldn't bother asking for ipad to be returned. After reading other reviews it's obvious that this company has no intention of ever honouring it's promises. Apple should be ashamed. I'm off to the Samsung shop for my next purchase.
Don’t waste your time
Scam. Quoted £140 value for an iPad Pro, then adjusted to £0 due to “white spots on the screen”. There aren’t any. I’m now waiting for the device to be returned to me.
I can only imagine this is either Apple forcing a budget that drives bad behaviour in their returns processor, or the processor running a scam and sidelining items to go off the books having had their value adjusted to nothing by incorrect grading of returned items.
Don’t bother with Apple trade-in.
Avoid avoid avoid!!!
After 20+ calls to apple I never received the return kit. They apparently tried sending it to my home and my work but never received. Then as I took a new phone with them this was to bring my monthly payments down but they just took £210 out of my account as they blamed me for not sending them the phone. Avoid at all costs.
Avoid!!!
Sent my iPhone XS with a trade in value of £140 in perfect condition. Sent in the packaging provided by them and today received a revised trade in value of £0 for the same reasons in previous reviews ‘ Multiple cracks/missing camera lens’. If there are multiple cracks it is due to their packaging/goods in process but don’t feel like I am going to win this one. Please avoid at all costs… there are much better services available online for selling an old phone!
Apple should be ashamed!! AVOID at all costs.
absolute con and appaling service. upgraded to iphone 13 from iphone 11 and told the 11 was worth £180. As it was bought online i had no choice but to wait the for kit to send the 11 to the trade in partner. I set my new phone up using the quick start method to transfer data to new handset. i disable the find my phone and followed the onscreen prompts to erase the iphone 11. once done i got the hello welcome screen as if it was setting up for a new user. All my old data should have therfore been erased. (as per the warning). a week later got email stating value had been revised to £0 !! stated data not wiped. Absoulte rubbish!! called apple support, they looked at the inf (and photos) from the trade in partner. they agreed handset was in perfect condition. No evidence of data being present was provided. i rejected the revised offer and apple sent it back for a second valuation. Week later email received with same revised offer of £0 and "data not wiped". Another call to apple and its been sent back again. If this doesnt change the result Apple state my only options are to have the handset back, take it into a store and get a trade in "credit note" which is less then originally quoted online (£165) or just sell the handset myself. this is just not good enough from Apple. I did the trade in to get the £180 discounted off the iphone 13. If they return my handset my CC will be billed the £180 as i got the phone on the interest free credit with the dscount already applied. Having now read all the reviews on here Apple really need to sort these issues out and deal properly with the trade in partner who are clearly scamming the customers. If i lived anywhere near the address where the handset was sent to i would be knocking on their door and demanding answers. My advice to all is AVOID the trade in unless doing it in store when no thrid party is involved.
I sent my ipad pro to Apple as a trade…
I sent my ipad pro to Apple as a trade in against a new ipad. I was supposed to get £185 on an enhanced deal. My new ipad arrived and I sent my old ipad to Apples trade in partner.
A few days later I had a message asking if I accepted a new offer of £ zero. They stated that there were white spots on the screen.
I rejected the revised offer and had my old ipad returned. I also rejected the new ipad and sent that back for a refund.
No matter how hard I look, or who I ask to check, not a single white spot can be seen.
Over the years I have had several trade ins with Samsung and they have always paid out as agreed. I might change to Samsung for my next tablet.
Don’t not use
Trade-in an 2017 iPad Pro which was like new, just getting a little slow. Estimated value was £135, they sent an email with a revised estimate of £0.00 claiming damage to the screen. Asked for photos, which they did not provide. Apple should be ashamed using this scam company trying to get free Apple products to resell parts to line their own pockets!
Wishing I had read the reviews first..
Wishing I had read the reviews first... Sent in my I-phone X for a £140 trade in but I have been shocked to receive an email this morning to say they've valued my phone at £0 due to several cracks and missing camera lens which is absolutely not true, the phone was in very good condition! I have been convinced it must have been damaged in the post but upon reading others reviews on here with a similar email it seems this is just their way of scamming people. I have requested my phone back and just hope that it is returned to me in the same condition I sent it off!!! Do not use this service!!!
Shocking
Shocking, offered 320 trade in on my ipad pro, which has been reduced to zero due to an alleged smashed display, which is a complete load of rubbish.....don't use this service.
Do not use Apple for Trade In
Recently traded in an iPad and although they sent credit memo four weeks on I am still chasing them for £150 which has not reached my bank account. Numerous phone calls and eMails to no avail!! Do not use for trade ins.
Not sure this is fair advertising
Not sure this is fair advertising. Said up to £80 for my mums Iphone, offered 30 with some rubbish about streaks on the screen. My mum is 80 and looks after things very carefully, and hardly used it. Two questions, what condition does it need to be in to actually get the estimate and what percentage of trade ins get the estimate? ?
A fraud to sell more iPhones
Same thing happened to me as frequently outlined below - sent my pristine condition iPhone in for trade and was told it was worthless due to multiple cracks/missing lens. It wasn’t true at all. Hoping to receive my phone back in the same condition I sent it.
Would leave a zero if I could
Would leave a zero if I could.
Sent iPhone X for trade in. Quoted £150 which was bad enough. Then I was told lens missing and something broken and was worth nothing. Lies. Asked for phone back. Lens not missing. Total Fraud how can an item that has more technology inside than the first space ships, not have even any scrap value? Was due to upgrade my iPad pro - don’t think so! What greed from a multi billion dollar organisation.
HA HA HA. Must be joke...
I read the reviews but thought I'd give it a go. I've asked for the phone back. I told them the exact condition and offer went from £320 to £90. I know I can get £400 on eBay but this seemed straightforward.
Just don't bother. Was a waste of a trip to the post office.
