Wish I’d read the reviews first. Purchased new iPad Pro, sending my old iPad Pro in original box and perfect condition with the quote of a £210 trade in, only to be told the LED screen is bleeding and iPad is worthless. Which is a load of rubbish, unless Apple has damaged it. I believe it’s a con to get a free iPad Pro. I dread to think the condition it will be returned in (if at all)
iPad arrived back today poorly packaged and minus original box, plug, cable and instructions. Miraculously also minus the fictional LED screen bleed fault.

Would give 0 if I could, should have listened to the reviews, my trade in was reduced from £150 to £0 for no reason?? Saying data wasn’t wiped it was! Absolute waste of time, shocking Apple treat their customers like this, when you pay a fortune to buy their products.

Terrible - avoid - just as others have said, I wish I looked at these reviews before I used the trade in service. My mum's iPad valuation went from £80 to £0 due to "two white spots". That is false and is exactly what someone else said in their review - is this template text they send to everybody to try and get their old device for free? Not right to trick people on a small pension. Spread the word Apple trade in is a con - pure and simple.

Sent my old phone in, photographed the phone as I packaged it. Not scratches, cracks and everything worked.

They downgraded saying multiple crack and camera lens missing. I’m yet to receive it back but glad I took photos. This boarders on fraudulent, lies about the device they receive.

Update, received it back. Not a scratch on it, just like I sent it!

Hoping you’d just say keep it and move on.

Garbage. Bought a new iPhone and selected trade-in my old one which is in perfect conditions and then I was told it’s worthless. I always look after my stuff well and I can’t believe what I saw. Don’t waste your time.

First and last time we will use this service! My husband and I ordered a new iPhone 13 pro max trading in our iPhone 11 and 11 pro both in perfect working order, we sent both phones back in the packaging that was sent to us the 11 pro we had the trade in money but the 11 which should have been £240 was now £0 as they said that they could not charge the phone to assess it, after a few phone calls and emails sent to apple trade in it was obvious that they were not going to help, I have now received the iPhone 11 back I have charged it and used it as it is in perfect working order. shameful Apple

Habe für ein neues iPad mein altes iPad Air 2 eingetauscht und sollte ca. EUR 95,00 erhalten. Das Gerät war voll funktionsfähig!
Nun bietet mit Apple EUR 0,00(!!!) an, weil angeblich das Display defekt sei - was ja nicht der Wahrheit entspricht.
Entweder haben diese Personen es zerstört oder Apple will sich um die Eintauschprämie drücken.
Folge: ich lasse mir das Gerät zurückschicken und gebe meine ebenfalls gerade erworbenen Geräte (MacBook Pro, Homepod Mini und iPad 9) zurück. Statt einem neuen iPhone werde ich woanders fündig werden. Das war es dann ein für alle Mal bei mir mit Apple.

awful service. been almost 2 months and no response.. so they've either lost my MacBook Air or one of their staff has stolen it.

MacBook Air M1 Gold brought for £1249.00 on 08/05/21 now 30/12/21 apple trade in have the bloody nerve to offer £440.00 How they have the cheek to come to this figure is beyond me

Just thought I’d put my positive experience for those that are reading all the other bad reviews and worrying about going ahead. I successfully did this and got what I’d been quoted. I made sure to take pictures including a picture with my iPhone serial number on show. I also wrapped my phone in bubble wrap for extra padding and sellotaped the box they send for you to post your old device to them for added security. The whole process took just over a week to go through and get approved. They updated the status of where things are at on your apple account really quickly. Overall I would recommend.

What a total scam. I recently upgraded my iPhone to the 13 Pro and opted for the trade in of my iPhone 8 Plus. It’s in perfect condition due to always having a lifeproof case on, everything works fine, no scratches anywhere or issues with the screen. The trade in value was £145 and I received an updated value of £35 due to 2 white spots which I know is not the case at all as I checked everything. Absolute joke. Have now requested they return it so let’s see what kind of condition I get it back in. I wish I had of looked at the reviews first, but being such a big company you assume it’s fine. Definitely just sell your phone privately!

I have been waiting for my payment for over a month now. I still have yet to review the payment.
They have had awful customer service and I have been made to send several emails some of which they did not respond to.

Terrible. Over a month has passed and no response.

They tried telling me the product was worthless when it was in perfect condition, and ignored all my emails.

Set my iPad mini 3 trade-in when I purchased brand new iPad Pro. Followed all the protocols. I got an email July 31. $110 value. You will receive an Apple gift card. Went online. Still processing. I telephone the number to contact them. It’s not them. It’s an insurance company. Sent email no response. Sounds like a scam to me. I should’ve just kept my iPad.

I wanted to upgrade 2 staff members apple phone to the new 13, I purchased 2 phones and we traded in one old iphone 8. She picked up the new phone but was told a courier will pick up the trade in.
the phone was picked up but returned the next day??
Apple say I needed to upload my ID for this to happen, I do not have an appleID, so it is impossible for me upload my ID without appleID to trade in any apple phone. This sounds illegal to me- 3rd line forcing as I do NOT want to join apple. Now even less.
so no more apple phones for this company!

I returned an iPad Air after being offered a £155 trade in against a new iPad. It was in perfect condition having been kept in a double leather case from new. I have just received an email saying it is worthless and having read these reviews, which I wish I'd read before, I dread getting it back to see what they have done to it. If thought it was going to be damaged I would rather have given it away. This is just a con by apple to encourage people to constantly replace items. It's shameful for such a big company. Like their battery scam it does nothing to encourage a more eco-friendly environment. I seriously believed that Apple were giving me trade in so that the iPad could be re-used,recycled, to help the environment. Now I find out that all it is helping is Apples mega rich executives get richer. Shame on you Apple. You need to take a long hard look at yourselves as a company, stop scamming people and think about what you are doing for the environment with your short battery lives and constant release of updated models. People are becoming more aware and companies like yours have no shame. Think on.

Clicked on the 'Trade-in' option when ordering my new iPhone. Checked after and saw that others offered me more money so sent off to one of them first. They downgraded the amount they would pay by £20 due to 'scratch on the screen' so, I asked for it back.
Sent to Apple 3 days later and they have downgraded the phone to '£0' due to cracks on the phone and missing camera lens?
No only is this not true, the issues were not visible less that a week ago by another service provider?
This is just a SCAM - I have asked for it back, shame on you apple!!

I recently upgraded to the 13 pro iPhone (I upgrade annually w the Apple Upgrade program) I received my trade in kit and sealed up the phone and took it to my local FedEx Shipping station only to receive this email from Apple: “ When we received your trade-in kit, there was no device inside the box. If this was intended, or if you've already contacted us concerning this issue, disregard this email. Otherwise, it's important that you reply with the following information as soon as possible:
The exact item(s) you placed inside the return packaging
A detailed description of how you packaged and sealed the goods inside”


Now this is completely frustrating as who the heck would ship only a box back!? It’s obvious to me that somewhere from the point of shipping to the point of checking the phone and only seeing a box that someone stole the phone.
Any ideas on what I can do? If it’s a third party what’s to stop them from flunking phones or reporting this kind of scenario and keeping good product?

Traded in two apple watches mailed both at the same time. Got my credit for one but not the other. Contacted apple as well as better business bureau. Apple claims it can take up to three weeks. Status has said “delivered” for the past week. A relative sent his Watch in for credit after me and got his credit 3 days later. Will never do business with apples trade in again.
