Given the Apple brand, I trusted this to trade in my iPad Pro against a new version. The box arrived to send it back, it was like something from the Krypton Factor with no instructions.sent it back via Royal Fail, first attempt from Coventry was refused, 2nd and 3rd the building is now not accessible. Wtf is going on apart from my £515 disappearing in to thin air. And this is before they get it and reading other reviews fully expecting them to shaft me on price they already quoted. My iPad is in pristine condition…..

From £370 valuation to zero because of “at least 13 defects”.

So the story is that I bought a new phone and needed the trade in to make the finances work. Offered £370, which I accepted. An empty box arrived so I could send off the phone, with no instructions, very vague. Anyway, I sent the phone for the trade in…Valuation £0! So I asked for it to be sent back. Which they did, but minus my leather case. Not good but now committed to the phone and past my 14 day return. Apple customer services (phone) not interested and washed their hands of it. Very poor indeed.

Long story short I then the phone to the nearest Apple Store and they took one look, did their tests and offered me the full £370. Said it looked just fine, confused why it was rejected. Good on them I say.

Summary: Apple trade in feels to me not fit to operate under the Apple brand. Apparently it’s a third party company but Apple should do something about this, it’s not right to buy a new expensive phone in good faith then have this happen. Something is wrong here that needs fixing. Am I the only one having issues or is there something bigger here that requires deeper investigation?

Mijn 2e hands telefoon opgestuurd na een bod van € 45,-- o.b.v. een vragenlijst. Na ontvangst ontving ik een bod van 0 euro omdat er veel aan het toestel mankeerde: lakschade, diepe krassen en een losse achterkant. Dat was bij het opsturen beslist niet het geval! Nadat ik daar op had gereageerd werd het bod verhoogd naar 10 euro. Het enige positieve was dat het toestel gratis is teruggestuurd. Zoals verwacht was er helemaal niets te zien aan het toestel! Wat een oplichterij!

Voll funktionsfähiges iPhone 14 Pro hingeschickt. Trade in meldet zurück: Face ID Und Touch ID defekt. Bevor ich das Gerät hin geschickt habe hatte ich es bis kurz vor Versand im Einsatz. Das wäre aufgefallen.
Alles in allem nicht empfehlenswert

The worst purchase experience I've ever had - and I'm not young!

I had two Apple gift cards from trade-ins but when I tried to use these cards to make a purchase, they would cause an error. Over the course of two weeks, I estimate I spent over 10 hours working with Apple on this in countless phone and chat sessions. The people were very nice but they never came close to fixing the problem.

In the end, one support person suggested that I transfer the gift card amounts into my Apple account balance and then try to use that. That worked but it was a workaround - i.e. I assume the problem I had still exists within Apple's system. I will not do an Apple trade-in again.

Batterij condities 90% en in goede staat zonder beschadigingen. Kreeg na opsturen en inspectie een bod van €10!😡 het scherm zou zijn ingebrand! Wat een op……… mijn advies is- ga je device op een andere manier verkopen, maar niet bij dit bedrijf!!

I’ve put my Apple Watch series 9 in they are telling me they’ve not got the item when they damn well do I shown them prove, apple told me that it only takes 25/48 hours that was on the 10.9.25 and still nothing I’ve asked for my watch back and not been returned they’ve just sent me an box to send my watch how when I don’t even have it, it’s a scam you can’t ring them as they don’t have a contact number I’m going to put in a massive complaint to apple and they can get me my watch back and give me money off a new item

Shocking rip off.

Apple offered me £60 for my old IPad Pro. It was in pristine condition with not a mark on it as I always keep my tech in cases. I sent it off and got a revalued offer of £0 due to “ LCD display burn in damage/streaks/discoloration across the screen”.

Personally I can’t see this. I had the iPad shipped back to me. It seems like a scam to me.

This was the first time I tried doing a trade in with Apple and since the closest store to me is nearly 3 hours away I used the shipping option. A few days after they received the computer I got a notice that the serial number or description were incorrect and they would not offer me anything for it so I rejected the $0 offer.
I know both pieces of info were correct, I still have the original box to verify them. Customer support opened a ticket but again it was rejected for the same reason. Apple lost a customer of 30 years thanks to that.

Appalling, they offered me $65 for my M1 Macbook Air because it had a small chip in the side casing. They sent the machine back and I sold it on FB MarketPlace for $500 in about 5 hours.

It’s a scam !! Don’t use it ! They will offer you a quarter of a price with some ridiculous reason. I got paid 25% of the price and it’s only because I moved home I accepted it. Otherwise I would ask for it back and sell somewhere else.

I had a similar experience to another reviewer and the similarity is a concern. I traded in an iPad Air that had been kept in a case with a screen protector from day one so it was in immaculate condition. The iPad also worked perfectly with excellent resolution for videos etc. and the only issue was that the memory was full so I needed to upgrade.
The trade in process on the Apple store is simple and easy but it looks like the process is handled by a third party who sent me an email when they received the return with a revised trade in value of £0.00 citing LCD damage /burn in ,streaks &discolouration to screen. This is exactly the same as another reviewer and completely incorrect so I have rejected the offer.
This might seem a simple process when you buy a new Apple product but my advice is don’t waste your time with this third party and just sell privately or give to a friend.
EDIT. I have just received my returned iPad and everything looks fine to me. I’m going to give it to a family member.
I really wish I had looked at the reviews here first. This cannot be helping Apples reputation.

Was given a trade in value of $240 for my Macbook Pro and once received said my adjusted value was $45 because of a bent corner. Complete scam! The laptop was in perfect physical condition. Don't do a trade-in with Apple. They are dishonest.

I bought an IPhone with this service by sending my IPhone 14pro. Not receiving a response I contact them after many reminders I receive a standard email saying I did not send the other phone. They accuse me of not sending it and therefore I report the theft of my IPhone and ask them to block it. To date nothing, very unpleasant staff. Like many others in the reviews this service is a rip-off.

Traded in a macbook pro was given a trade-in value of 220 with the purchase on a new macbook air. They received the trade-in 4 days after I received my new air, yet they waited til the 15th day at 8a to say new value was $0, so now I can't return the new machine, we need a class action suit. Bait and switch.

Got new iPad ,thought I would trade in old air 3 for £65 thought it was ok offer ,so sent iPad Air3 to these bunch of cowboys and waited. Bearing in mind iPad had always had protector on screen and was kept in case from Day 1 and in excellent condition ,they then emailed me revised trade in value of £0.00 implying LCD damage /burn in ,streaks &discolouration to screen.
I rejected their offer and had iPad returned to me ,and lo and behold no scratches discolouration or damage to screen. I will now sell on eBay where they seem to fetch more than £65 if they are not working at all !!
All in all not a good experience and would advise anyone against Apple trade in ,just sell privately, Apple trade in are out to rip you off big time!!!

Traded in my 2017 Macbook Air, which was valued at $100. Already obscenely low. Like everyone I know, my device was sent back because I hadn't accepted a revised value of $20 (which they later said was sent by way of email). Let me repeat that: $20. This is simply absurd. I know enough about how parts are used and recycled with laptops to know how laughable that is. They have clearly lost sight of their customers and have forgotten WHY they are successful. A shame.

Was soll man sagen, 2 Jahre alter imac 27 voll aufgerüstet, Apple care läuft noch 1 Jahr und Du bekommst 400€ für ein 3500€ Gerät geboten. Marktwert über 2000. Muss man dazu noch mehr sagen? Definitiv niemals! Eher schmeiss ich es höchstpersönlich auf den Müll 😂😂😂

Apple trade in is an absolute con. I sent in an iPhone to get a voucher to spend on Apple products.
They then turn round and say first they didn’t receive it, despite tracking saying they did. Then they say it was a different iPhone, despite me having receipt from original purchase giving them all the details
In reality they have either lost my phone or simply don’t want to pay. Absolute rubbish. They have basically stolen my phone.

Sent my phone back which was undamaged with screen saver still on for extra protection in post got offered a sum of £50 when original estimate was £150 I rang and spoke to a nice helpful man who explained REAL PEOPLE DONT LOOK AT IT apparently of course I’m not accepting it
