¿Qué onda con tantos malos comentarios?

Me sorprende muchísimo la cantidad de reseñas negativas. Definitivamente no es la aerolínea más barata, pero no es tan cara como antes y a veces es la mejor opción dentro del mercado mexicano. Tiene pantallas aún para vuelos cortos y es la única (creo) que sigue dando algún tipo de comida (de perdida agua) sin costo adicional. El tripulante de nombre Jorge Segura en el vuelo o AM505 de CUN a MEX ó AM220 MEX-GDL (perdón, no recuerdo qué tramo fue), a diferencia de sus compañeros fue sumamente amable y servicial, muchas gracias :)

Alors le manager de Aeromexico un chauve prénommé Ezequiel il me semble très impoli pas du tout commercial on lui pose une question c’est comme ci le client l’enquiquinait je ne comprends pas comment une personne comme celle ci a pu être engager.

Son un auténtico desastre

Compré un vuelo de ida-vuelta y tuve problemas en ambos, leves en la ida y serios en la vuelta. Cambiaron el vuelo a otra compañía y otra hora diferente sin ningún tipo de notificación y cuando me presento al mostrador de la otra compañía, ya con mi tarjeta de embarque, me dicen que aeroméxico les pasó pasajeros sin preguntarles pero que ellos ya tienen el vuelo completo. Se han quedado varios pasajeros en tierra y no hemos visto nadie de Aeroméxico para resolver el problema.
En la ida no funcionaba mi pantalla y tampoco se me ofreció ninguna solución.

J'ai acheté 6 billets aller retour chez expedia et le jour du départ , ils n'existaient plus , AEROMEXICO dit que j'avais soit disant appeler moi meme la compagnie pour les annuler . Un homme à l'accent "mexicain" aurait annulé mes billets ??? Blague ?
j'ai du TOUT RACHETER a mes frais
Aucune preuve apporté , mauvaise foi chaque jour , procédure judicaire en cours .

Roma-Città di Messico diretto

Buen trato de la aerolínea mexicana. He volado varias veces y siempre en forma muy placentera. La app es un poquito lenta y tramposa, se traba, se apaga, pero en total puedo decir que me agrada.
Buona compagnia di bandiera messicana. Ho volato più di una volta e sempre con un buon livello di soddisfazione. Piuttosto la app un po' lenta e capziosa, si blocca facilmente o si spegne da sé. Complessivamente però mi soddisfa.

Changed Flight Time, No Refund

Brought my flight forward by 220 minutes. I am connecting, and cannot make the new time. Despite this, they won't refund or offer any alternative time (there are multiple flights with availability later that day), as is 'against their policy unless the time is changed by more than 240 minutes'. Booked through trip.com, reference 1688888553973634.

Horrible porque no le devuelven el perrito.. lo bajaron de bodegas porque había error en el calibraje del peso y dejaron al perrito y el avión se fue sin él, su dueña está desesperada…

nessuna assistenza. compagnia aerea da terzo mondo

eravamo già imbarcati e causa mal tempo l'aeroporto è stato chiuso e ci hanno sbarcati. dopo 4 ore l'aeroporto ha riaperto ed alcuni voli hanno decollato. noi siamo stati tiprogrammati per la mattina seguente, dopo quasi 12 ore dall'orario iniziale. nessun avviso in aeroporto. il personale dava informazioni parziali. siamo stati lasciati a noi stessi per 12 ore senza assistenza. dopo 12 ore arriva l'orario del nuovo imbarco. nessuna informazione. nessun imbarco. nessun annuncio. dalla app scopriamo che ci hanno posticipati di altre 2 ore. il personale di terra sostiene sia perchè non è arrivata la crew. inconcepibili.

Terrible

Terrible airline and customer service. They moved our flight boarding time and then didn’t let us on the plane even though they only only announced this in Spanish. I rebooked and our hold luggage was subsequently seriously damaged upon arrival. Their team refuses to provide any kind of compensation for this even though they are legally obliged to do so. DONOTUSETHEM!

Zero Willingness to Help – Poor Customer Service

Very disappointing experience with Aeroméxico's customer service.
Despite my willingness to pay additional fees for a solution, the agent (identified as "JZ") repeatedly hid behind policy restrictions, showing no intention to assist or escalate the case.
As someone who works in customer service, I know that when there is a genuine will to help, there are always ways to manage exceptions. Unfortunately, in this case, it was not a matter of policy—it was a clear lack of willingness and professional attitude.
A company’s service is defined by how it handles exceptional cases, not by how many times it can say "no."

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service! Basically just want to get rid of you and shrug there shoulders as if it’s nothing they can do and I’m talking supervisors/managers/sales desk staff.
They don’t even let you use their phones to call there personnel or customer service.
My partner took my two young children to the toilet which was in the vicinity of the boarding gate after having cleared check in and security with time to spare.
She heard a call for her on the speaker so rushed to the gate we are talking 2mins as had luggage and she was told gate closed! Very inconsiderate airline considering they knew she was just there! I will not recommend this airline they don’t care just money grabbers unfortunately. The following day there was almost a hour delay after having to book through them as only flights out of Mexico City was through them yet they said 36min delay was a minor yet 2mins for them is not! The email we received from them states we need to be at the boarding gate a hour before flight yet the staff at the airport say 45mins and they are stating that it’s the airports duty to update flight information screens as like most people that’s what is relied upon whilst going toilet having a coffee or doing some airport purchases. After sharing the image of “on time” and not boarding or last call they blamed it on airport.

Aeromexico: CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?
On July 28, 2024, I was scheduled to take flight AM687 from Chicago to Mexico City. It was supposed to depart at 4:00 p.m., but at 4:20 p.m. they announced it was canceled for 24 hours. The reason?
➡️ NO CO-PILOT HAD BEEN ASSIGNED. Something truly unbelievable.

And how did they inform us? With a handwritten note taped to the counter.
No call, no announcement, no staff taking responsibility.

By 7 p.m., after hours stranded at the airport, they told us we’d be sent to a hotel — but didn’t say which one.
#Aeromexico didn’t provide transportation. They told us to find a “shuttle,” but when we got to the hotel, it was already full. They hadn’t informed the hotel of anything.
Hotel staff, not Aeromexico, helped us figure out where passengers were actually being sent.

I had to pay for a taxi myself to reach the new hotel. At 12 a.m., we finally got a room — no dinner included, and again, no support from Aeromexico.
The next day, transport back to the airport was provided by the hotel, not the airline.

✖️ No compensation has been provided.
According to Mexican consumer law (#Profeco), when a flight is delayed or canceled like this, passengers are entitled to at least 25% of the ticket cost as compensation.

I filed a complaint and attended conciliation with Profeco on July 3, 2025. And what did Aeromexico offer?
💸 $500 pesos per ticket — and there were four tickets.
Their representative, Citlalli Montserrat Sánchez Puga, even suggested I should take legal action if I didn’t agree, as if trying to intimidate consumers into giving up.

Seriously, #Aeromexico?

🟡 Is this what you call dignified treatment? Is this customer service?
People deserve to know how this airline is operating.

Ich war insgesamt enttäuscht vom Flug eher entschäuscht

Ich war insgesamt enttäuscht vom Flug mit AeroMéxico auf der Langstrecke. Das größte Problem war ganz klar das veraltete Bord-Entertainment. Das Entertainment-System war technisch völlig überholt – keine Möglichkeit, Bluetooth-Kopfhörer (z. B. AirPods) zu koppeln, stattdessen wurden einfache Billig-Kopfhörer mit AUX-Anschluss verteilt, die weder bequem noch brauchbar waren.

Auch das Angebot an Filmen war sehr begrenzt. Lediglich ca. 40 Titel standen zur Verfügung, was für einen Langstreckenflug einfach zu wenig ist.

Der Flug an sich verlief zwar ruhig und ohne große Zwischenfälle, aber das Gesamtbild war geprägt von einem lieblosen Service, sowie einem veralteten Flugzeug, das eher den Eindruck einer Billigfluglinie machte als einer internationalen Airline.

Ich würde AeroMéxico für Langstreckenflüge nicht weiterempfehlen, solange die Ausstattung nicht deutlich modernisiert wird.

Travel with them based on your experience and not on theirs!…

I called Aeromexico customer service twice prior to my flight and requested info about my excess baggage. Not one single detail turned out to be correct, costing me twice as much as the cost of the flight and a four-hour delay in Mexico City with that. From the online customer service to the prior-to-boarding representatives, they all misinformed me about my excess and the transfer of my baggage once in Mexico City to my final destination. The flight and service during that time were excellent, but not for the rest. If it had not been for the misinformation, it would have been an excellent 5-star experience. I should have followed my gut instinct based on my experience and not listened to them. I recommend the flight for the normal flyer, but not for the out-of-the-ordinary traveler.

Missed flight due to early departure: warning

On July 8 my family of 4 flew from Lima headed for Vancouver with a 3 hr stopover in Mexico City. We had plenty of time to wait for the Aeromexico flight scheduled for departure at 4:50pm. When we got to the gate there was no seating in the small waiting area. We went over to the next gate where there was plenty of space. But there was a food stand between the two gate areas. At 4:25pm we thought it was time to board so we went to the boarding gate. It was empty and the Aeromexico staff told us the plane was on the runway ready to take off. The flight departed early. We were sent back to check-in to book the next flight to Vancouver which was just past midnight at 1am. It was another 8 hr wait. We thought we would just pay a small penalty. To our horror we were charged $2000 USD each for the only seats left in business class. We know we are partly responsible for missing the flight because we should have checked on the flight departure earlier. But we would not have missed the flight if it did not leave earlier. We did not hear any announcements about it. Even if there were, they were not in English for us to understand. We do not feel that we should have to pay the heavy price for this innocent mistake. I wrote twice to customer service to explain what happened and to ask for at least a partial refund. But they did not even acknowledge my emails. This is very poor customer service. And this is a warning to others about what can happen. This experience has turned me off from Aeromexico and I will never recommend it to anyone.

Dispute Over Missed Flight Due to Early Departure – Service Not Rendered

@Aeromexico I missed my flight even though I arrived on time because the flight LEFT EARLY.

I was at the gate 10+ minutes before departure, only to find the flight already gone. No announcements, no final call, nothing. Then I was told the flight was only “delayed by 1 minute” and refused any help or refund.

I lost a full ticket and had to pay out of pocket for another one.

Customer service refuses to take responsibility, claiming it’s the airport’s fault but it was your flight, your responsibility.

This was a costly, frustrating, and unfair experience. I expected better.

I’m sharing this so others are aware and I hope @Aeromexico will reconsider how this was handled.

Avoid Aeromexico at all costs

Avoid Aeromexico at all costs. I was charged $902 AUD for extra baggage on a booking without any clear disclosure, no itemised breakdown during checkout, and no receipt or confirmation afterward. When I contacted their “customer care” team, I was met with dismissive copy-paste replies, zero accountability, and finally — this gem — a recommendation not to “use artificial intelligence” to understand their booking process.

They flatly refused a refund and tried to hide behind their terms and conditions, despite never showing the charges clearly in the first place. Even worse, they blamed me for not checking something they never provided.

Their customer service is a black hole. Their pricing practices are opaque at best, deceptive at worst. If something goes wrong, expect stonewalling, boilerplate denials, and absolutely no help.

This is not a serious airline — it’s a case study in how not to treat paying customers.

Indifferent and Unhelpful staff

I have booked an itinerary with 3 flights for myself and my 9-year-old daughter. It was 2 long distance flights and one short domestic flight. We decided to skip the domestic flight thinking it wouldn't be a big deal. But it was! We were not allowed to take the other 2 flights which is apparently described somewhere in terms and conditions. But that wasn't even the worst part. We were there at the airport begging to let us at least buy our seats back, but the airline employees showed zero compassion or interest in helping. They confirmed that our seats were empty, but wouldn't even try to let us take them. It was late at night and the airline just left the mother with a child behind without any type of refund or compensation. The most indifferent and insensitive experience I ever had.

Total Chaos, Lies and Debauchery.

I'm a Platinum medallion status with Delta and unfortunately they are also partners with Aeromexico as part of the SkyTeam of Losers. It's always the same old deal and I actually blame Delta just as much for continuing this collaboration. Virtually no benefits cross over from Delta to Aeromexico and they treat Delta customers like crap. The only reason not a 1 star is the folks at CDMX airport are pretty good.
Other than that here's my latest story. I was diagnosed with a disease that requires medication and refrigeration. I called Aeromexico well in advance of the flight and asked what could be expected from them. I was assured that the onboard agents could handle the situation and I would be able to have them store the medication in the fridge. Well when I got on board they said no they wouldn't. So I"m sitting here with 10K of medicine without refrigeration. Thank God I chose to have a back up plan and had a suitable medical refrigeration unit that I could keep at my seat. If not it would have been a disaster.
