My experience with volaris was very bad. The staff arrived very late and had a rude attitude. Every time I asked questions, they answered in a disrespectful way.
I also had to leave my luggage behind because they wanted to charge me $200 Dollars for each bag, which I thought was excessive. I definitely do not recommend this airline and I will never buy a ticket with them again.

Experiencia muy decepcionante con Volaris.
Llegué a la puerta de embarque a tiempo, pero me informaron que debía pagar por el equipaje de mano en ese momento. Intenté pagar con tarjeta de crédito, pero la transacción fue rechazada. Inmediatamente ofrecí otra tarjeta para completar el pago, pero la agente se negó a permitirme intentarlo de nuevo y dijo que la puerta ya estaba cerrada, mientras yo estaba ahí mismo intentando resolver la situación.
No hubo ningún intento de ayudar, ni de aplicar criterio, ni de ofrecer una solución básica a una pasajera dispuesta a pagar en el momento. La actitud fue fría, poco profesional y totalmente carente de empatía.
Como resultado, perdí mi vuelo, tuve gastos adicionales y una experiencia muy negativa.
Entiendo que las aerolíneas de bajo costo tienen políticas estrictas, pero el servicio al cliente no debería desaparecer por completo. Un poco de flexibilidad o disposición para ayudar habría cambiado toda la situación.
No la recomiendo.
Agradecería una respuesta oficial de la empresa.

Ripoff
Ripoff, don't fly w them. Horrible service. Website crashes. No one answers phone. They held up the flight for an hour so two rich people who were late. Missed next flight, had to wait 7 hrs in airport for next flight to another city 4 hours away from destination. On way back the flight was late and missed connecting flight. Had to pay $400 dollars extra because my connecting flight left before we got there. I had no money. They did not let me sleep in airport and I was out of money. I had to try to sleep in bushes alongside dog poop and mosquitoes. Worst trip of my life. I could not get a flight combo on their crashed website so I bought a ticket for each flight which is what I thought I had to do. Then they said it wasn't their fault that I missed the connecting with light and that I should have bought the combo flight which I had no way to do because the website crashed. My friend went through Expedia and bought travel insurance. They got him a room but the hotel would not let me stay in his room. I was stranded, no money and no food or drink. This airline is a complete disaster. Don't be a dipsh*t like me and just fly w someone else

Zbor Volaris foarte dezamăgitor. Am avut bilet pe ruta León – Cancún, cu durată estimată de 2 ore și 10 minute, dar avionul a fost deviat și am ajuns în Mérida, unde am stat blocați peste o oră fără explicații clare.
Lipsă totală de comunicare din partea echipajului și a companiei. Nu ni s-a spus cât vom mai sta, de ce s-a făcut oprirea și nici nu ni s-a oferit vreo compensație sau asistență.
Experiență frustrantă și neprofesionistă. Nu recomand Volaris.

He tenido una experiencia absolutamente lamentable con esta aerolínea. Tenía una reserva con cuatro pasajeros para un vuelo de Ciudad de México a Cozumel y, al hacer el check-in, solo se emitieron tres tarjetas de embarque debido a un overbooking. Como resultado, uno de los pasajeros (yo) se quedó en tierra sin ninguna solución real ni asistencia adecuada.
Es completamente inaceptable que, bajo una misma reserva, dejen a una persona sin volar. La falta de organización, previsión y, sobre todo, de profesionalidad es evidente.
Este tipo de prácticas demuestran una total falta de respeto hacia el cliente. Juegan con el tiempo y los planes de las personas sin asumir responsabilidades de forma seria.
Sin duda, una de las peores experiencias que he tenido viajando. No recomendaría esta aerolínea a nadie y, desde luego, no volveré a volar con ellos.
Ignorancia de empleados ante mascota de apoyo
Comparto esto para quienes viajen por Volaris: tengan cuidado. Hoy se supone que tenía un vuelo, el cual me fue negado porque mi mascota de apoyo emocional no medía 25 cm de pies a cabeza. Esto, además, considerando que tengo un VPASS que se “supone” da beneficios, pero parece funcionar únicamente para que te quiten dinero.
He viajado muchísimas veces con mi mascota y es la primera vez que se me menciona este requisito. Sus empleados no tienen conocimiento legal de tener mascotas de apoyo emocional y es impresionante la falta de congruencia entre su reglamento y gente.

Avoid this airline at all costs. They change your itinerary whenever they want, but the moment you try to make a change—even after paying extra for a “fully refundable” ticket—they penalize you.
I tried to change my flight today, but the new options had outrageous prices and ridiculous layovers. So I decided to request the full refund I specifically paid for. Turns out, because I had previously rescheduled my flight (due to their changes), they now refuse to honor the refund. So my only options are to sit through a 7-hour layover or book with another airline and lose my money entirely.
For context, I have permanent nerve damage in both legs, so flying is already painful. Now I’m stuck dealing with an extended layover on top of that.
To make matters worse, they changed my itinerary more than once. My original layover was a little over 3 hours, which they shortened to about 2.5 hours. I rescheduled because of that—and then they changed it again. And here’s the kicker: if you miss your connecting flight and your layover is under 3 hours, you’re not entitled to anything.
Anyone who has flown through Guadalajara knows how chaotic it is—you have to collect your bags, recheck them, go through immigration, and then security again. Missing a connection there is a very real possibility, and they take zero responsibility.
On top of all of this, the only way I was able to reach customer service was through WhatsApp
I’ll never give this airline another cent. I’d rather pay a little more for a reputable airline than deal with this kind of shady, unreliable service.
Utterly atrocious
Bag fees are insane, customer service is terrible, they tried to give me and my husband separate seats to force me into paying more for seat selection, there's absolutely no direction to the check in counter at Benito Juarez, they didn't communicate AT ALL about delays, we didn't even get a gate number until less than 40 minutes before departure, and now they're telling me they can't even check their own plane for my lost watch and I should contact the airport. Profound ineptitude, utter garbage.
Formal Notice of Policy Ambiguity and Inconsistent Application of Baggage Service Terms
The applicable policy expressly provides that the flight purchase is non‑refundable, a condition that I knowingly reviewed, accepted, and agreed to at the time of purchase. However, the policy contains no express language addressing baggage modifications or restrictions related to luggage services.
Customer service advised that no changes may be made to the booking on the basis that baggage constitutes a “service,” stating verbatim: “We cannot alter your luggage from a checked bag to a carry‑on, as that is considered a service.”
Notwithstanding this representation, customer service further advised that an additional carry‑on may be added to the booking for an additional fee. This position is inherently inconsistent, as the addition of a carry‑on necessarily constitutes a modification of the same service that is purportedly non‑modifiable. The distinction appears to be based solely on whether the change results in increased revenue.
If the intent of the policy is to prohibit reductions or substitutions of services while permitting service additions for an increased charge, that limitation should be clearly, expressly, and unambiguously stated within the policy. Absent such language, the current application of the policy is unclear and internally inconsistent.

This has been the worst airline experience I have ever had. I don’t know if the pilots were inexperienced, but today’s flight was extremely rough almost the entire time. From the moment we left Florida, it felt like the plane was shaking constantly.
Many passengers around me were complaining about the same thing. We all felt a lot of pressure and pain in our ears for more than half an hour. Even now, an hour and a half after landing, my ears are still hurting. If the pain continues, I may need to see a doctor.
This is the second time I’ve traveled with Volaris, and unfortunately this experience confirmed that I will not fly with them again. I already have a return flight booked for Sunday, but after this experience I’m seriously considering buying a ticket with another airline.
I truly felt unsafe during this flight, and I hope the airline reviews this situation carefully. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this airline.
When I first booked my Volaris flights
When I first booked my Volaris flights, I was able to land in Guadalajara and get to my next filght in time. When Volaris changed my flight, right as I landed, my other flight left. I had to pay for a hotel and stay an additional day.
Better than expected
It was actually much better than I had feared. I am glad for all the negative reviews because this way I was able to avoid falling into any of their traps, like checking how much weight the checked baggage can have and booking accordingly.
Check-in and getting on the aircraft went smoothly. The process of disembarking is annoying, however, I had a very short connection and they let me get off the plane before everyone else (which would not have been possible with everyone standing up simultaneously), even before business class!
The reason I am only giving them 4 stars is because even a budget airline should provide water for free, especially when flying in countries where you cannot just refill your bottle with tap water after security.

This airline is disgusting in how it treats its customers. We had both grandparents flights booked who are 91 years old with dementia and 80 years old. They said they could not seat them together as one of the seats was not available but would surely seat them together if we paid extra for their seats (seats that were not available but apparently were available if we paid them). Besides this, I've always had issues, especially regarding my flights not being available at the last minute. I hate to do this negative review as I'm not about that life despite previous bad experiences but they really pissed me off regarding my grandparents seats.

El día de viaje , la página presentaba constantes problemas con el CHECK IN Online, decidí acudir una hora y media ANTES de que el avión volará, el personal más déspota no pueden ser, amargados y sin soluciones , literalmente llegó a un punto que me dijeron que tenía que "saber leer" y "no hay soluciones" ya que esos temas se ven con dos horas antes , cuando literal estaba regresando del hotel al aeropuerto y el tráfico lo impidió, perdió el boleto y no me quedo remedio que comprar otro boleto con Viva aerobus, he viajado más de 12 veces con Viva Aerobus y Aeroméxico y NUNCA he tenido una mala experiencia, primera y ÚLTIMA con Volaris, de verdad, servicio de tercera y atención de quinta. Si quieren un viaje en paz NO VIAJEN en Volaris. Sinceramente, no resuelven y el servicio (Si es que se le puede llamar así) es nulo. Mejor pagar igual o un poco más por asegurar el viaje y la atención!
