Christina is the greatest customer service rep ever
Our customer service agent Christina was amazing! We had a situation where a friend of mine was stuck in Guadalajara after the civil unrest, and her phone was not working. I called Aeroméxico customer service from Canada, and after an hour on hold, I acted as a mediator between my friend on facetime and Christina the agent. She was able to get my friends rebooked on a flight that same day!! Huge shoutout to her for being patient and understanding our situation

Nos tuvieron en el avión más de 40 minutos y el aire acondicionado no se encendía pedimos y solicitamos que no aguantábamos el calor que nos sentíamos mal de salud porque el avión no tenía aire acondicionado y nos dijeron que hasta que el avión despegar y se encendieran los motores. Iban a poner el aire acondicionado. Realmente yo viajo por todo el mundo y este es primera vez que me tienen en un avión sin aire acondicionado no le recomiendo viajar en Aeromexico, pues van a sufrir de mucho calor.
Refused EU261 Compensation and Withheld Evidence
I am extremely disappointed with Aeroméxico’s handling of my case.
My journey departed from Madrid and arrived more than 12 hours late at the final destination. Under EU Regulation 261/2004, this clearly falls within the scope of passenger rights protection. However, Aeroméxico refused compensation, claiming “extraordinary weather circumstances,” while refusing to provide any documentary evidence to support this claim.
Instead of transparency, I received generic legal language stating that internal airport or ATC documents cannot be shared with passengers. While they claim they would provide documentation to authorities if formally requested, they refuse to provide any proof directly to affected passengers.
During the disruption, the entire itinerary was changed. Instead of the originally booked routing with 17 hours travel time and two connections, we were rerouted with significantly longer travel time, multiple additional check-ins, repeated baggage collection and re-checking, and an arrival around 12 hours later than scheduled. No proactive communication was provided.
This experience felt dismissive and non-transparent. Passenger rights under EU261 are not optional, and simply invoking “weather” without substantiation does not inspire trust.
I have escalated the matter to the relevant aviation authorities.
I expected better from an international carrier. Would give 0 stars if possible!

9 Stunden in Mexico City
Ich hatte insgesamt fast 6 Stunden auf zwei Flüge verteilt Verspätung, beide Aeromexico. In Paris die Zeit totzuschlagen ist die eine Sache aber Mexico City ist einfach mal ein anderes Level. So ein ungemütlicher, unübersichtlicher, lauter Flughafen. Da will man sich nicht unbedingt 9 Stunden aufhalten. Mehr als Geld ausgeben ist dort auch nicht möglich.
Die Flugzeuge von AM sind wirklich veraltet, kein Bluetooth, die USB Ports sind alle verschlissen und die Filme sind oft nur in Englisch verfügbar. Essen war ok. Die Durchsagen versteht kein Mensch.
Pire expérience de ma vie avec une compagnie aérienne
J'avais un vol Mexico city Madrid le 31/01/2026. Celui ci a été décalé au lendemain au dernier moment avec pour raison le mauvais temps (les vols continuaient d'arriver).
Aucune communication de la compagnie et surtout aucune compensation pour les frais engendrés par ce retard (nuits d'hotels x2, nouveau billet d'avion car j'ai loupé ma correspondance)

Wish I had looked at the reviews on trustpilot, this airline is so bad they know nothing about customer service and they don’t care, I had an emergency now that I’m travelling in Mexico and literally impossible to get any help from them, it’s so bad
Due to a snowstorm
Due to a snowstorm, my flight was changed. Because of the airline’s policy, I was told I could not change my return flight. The first representative I spoke with, Paul, was dismissive and unprofessional, and simply stated that there was “nothing that could be done.”
A more reasonable solution would have been to cancel the flight, issue a refund, and allow me to rebook—especially given that the disruption was weather-related and not my fault. After flying with this airline for 17 years, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of flexibility, empathy, and customer service.
Unfortunately, this experience has ended my loyalty to the airline. I would strongly encourage other travelers to consider this before booking, especially if reliability and customer support during disruptions matter to them.

I honestly can’t believe how anyone can give Aeromexico a low rating.
I’ve flown with them many times and I absolutely love doing so - I only wish I could use them for every flight I take.
Their ticket pricing is consistently reasonable, the staff are genuinely helpful and friendly, and I personally have never had a flight delayed or cancelled.
Most recently, I had a very short connection and was worried about my luggage.
The ticket agent smiled, completely confident, and said: “We’re Aeromexico, we don’t lose luggage.”
That reassurance was everything - and sure enough, my bag made the connection without any issue.
The seats are very comfortable, the planes feel fresh and clean, and the upgrade bidding option is surprisingly user-friendly and reasonably priced - I’m able to upgrade my seat class almost every time.
I literally can’t say enough good things: I LOVE Aeromexico and will keep choosing them whenever I can!
Muy buena experiencia en vuelos desde México a Sudamérica
He volado en varias ocasiones con Aeroméxico, particularmente MEX-GRU directo y creo que la empresa destaca porque no he experimentado retrasos relevantes, ninguna mala experiencia en la atención al cliente que sea significativa y la única vez que hubo un problema con mi pago resultó positiva, pues representó un ahorro para mi. Debo destacar que el servicio de alimentos ha mejorado mucho en los últimos años y que me parece que la atención a bordo también es muy buena. Como todas las aerolíneas que he probado, hay algunas áreas de mejora pero ninguna tan grave que valga la pensa comentar, al menos en mi experiencia. He viajado esa misma ruta con otras empresas como Avianca y no podría opinar igual, aunque quizás tengan mejores precios, realmente la experiencia en Aeroméxico siempre ha sido muy superior y compensa la diferencia en el precio del ticket.

MEX to TIJ
MEX to TIJ. We missed our flight due to poor communication and last-minute gate updates. The gate information wasn’t posted until around 45 minutes before departure, and when we arrived 30 minutes before the flight, we were refused boarding because they said we had to be there 45 minutes early. Even after speaking with a supervisor, nothing could be done and we were forced to buy new tickets.
I am on a Mexico City
I am on a Mexico City - London Heathrow flight. In business…or premiere as it is called by Aeromexico. I have been travelling within Mexico and from the UK for the past 3 weeks and the experience has never been particularly good with the staff. Everyone is quite brusc and not particularly caring. This last flight has beaten all others! I have been lectured about the risk of leaving overhead lockers open and when I responded with a small joke to defuse the tension the flight attendant had another go at me.
I don’t think this airline treats customers very well and it comes as pricey (if not more pricey) as other airlines but the service is well below.
Moreover it is the only airline I have use that doesn’t guarantee any privacy when travelling business-
I.e. there is absolutely no screen between seats, although the space would allow it with the right design. Won’t use Aereomexico again.
During Christmas 2025
During Christmas 2025, my family and I were traveling to visit our relatives in Brazil after three years without seeing them. We arrived early at Vancouver Airport, but due to a technical issue on a ticket issued by a travel agency (Trip.com), we needed assistance from Aeroméxico at the counter.
No one provided any real help. There was no escalation, no reissue, no separation of passengers, no coordination with the travel agency, and no attempt to mitigate the situation. We were simply sent back and forth between the airline and the agency until the flight departed. As a result, we lost the entire trip and were unable to see our family for Christmas after three years apart.
The emotional impact on my family was significant. My wife was so distressed by what happened that she now feels anxious and afraid of entering an airport. For an international airline, the lack of basic support, empathy and professionalism was deeply disappointing.
I am sharing this to alert other passengers: if something goes wrong, Aeroméxico will not assist you at the airport.
Aeroméxico is incompetent…
Aeroméxico is the most incompetent aeroline I have ever used. They said to us multiple times that they will transfer our suitcases just to get to our final destination and find out they never did and now our suitcases are lost somewhere in the airport Benito Juarez and they are doing nothing to help us because their cheap argument is that this is now a problem of the last aeroline we flew with. If you ever want to flight anywhere avoid at all cost using Aeroméxico and save yourself a headache.
They will separate you from your children
My husband, our 2 and 4 year old daughters, and I are all flying home via Aeromexico. When we got our seat assignments we noticed all our seats were separated. We had read in their policy that any child under the age of 5 would be seated next to a parent, so we called to get our seats changed. Their customer service was awful. We were told the only way we could sit next to our 2 year old and 4 year old would be to upgrade our seats for a charge. When we mentioned the policy the rep told us since we had booked through Expedia the policy did not apply. How is this acceptable? Do they really expect me to leave my 2 and 4 year old to sit by themselves next to strangers? Grown adults get scared flying, imagine little kids without a familiar face close by. Literally no remorse. When we checked online it seemed like there were spots they could have easily switched us to. We didn’t ask for all 4 of us to even be next to each other. We simply asked that our daughters be next to a parent. This request was denied. We of course paid the upgrade, but this was some of the most inconsiderate customer service I have ever experienced. I have never heard of kids so young being expected to fend for themselves during a flight. I guess they do not care about scared children.

Aereo pulito e sedili sufficientemente comodi. Cibo ragionevolmente buono e personale preparato e gentile. Peccato che uno di loro non è stato gentilissimo nel volo di andata, ma va bene. In generale esperienza positiva. Sia nel volo di andata che ritorno pochi film in italiano. Sul volo interno invece neanche uno.

This is by far the worst airline in the world. Customer service is deplorable

Would give it zero, if I could. One of the worst experiences, with no regard for traveller’s time. Flight diverted from destination 30 minutes before landing, citing bad weather - even though other flights were clearly landing at the same airport. After being given a hotel for the night and being told to come to the airport 3 hours before flight time the next day - flight was still delayed and no communication on why. Finally a flight that should’ve taken just 5 hours ended up taking almost 48 hours, with completely unhelpful or considerate crew. Will never fly them ever again.
Sempre molto bene
Rimango stupito dalle tante recensioni ad una stella, non metto in dubbio quelle recensioni e penso che sono stato fortunato perché ho viaggiato spesso nella tratta Amsterdam e Parigi a Città del Messico, partivo di sera viaggiando sempre in ottimi e recenti Boeing serie 7 con servizio più che buono, oltre ai vari viaggi intercontinentali, viaggiato anche all’interno del Messico e in alcuni Paesi Latino Americani e non ricordo brutte esperienze, nemmeno quando la mia valigia è stata danneggiata e in quel cado ho dovuto scrivere varie mail ma alla fine mi hanno dato l’ok per comprarne un’altra di pari valore. Nota di lode quando con il covid ero bloccato a Puerto Vallarta e non c’erano più voli, ho avuto un’ottima assistenza e anche se Aeromexico aveva fermato i voli internazionali e mi hanno fatto partire con Air France e da Parigi a Fiumicino con ITA senza pagare un $ in più.
