this is fraudulent advertising, the ZILKEE ultra recovery converter is essentially just a connection tool and not any form of recovery device.
I don't why they even bother including that in the title of the product.
I don't recommend this product at all! do your research.

I purchased the Zilkee data recovery kit and it doesn’t work at retrieving data from any of my 3 hard drives. It will light up and make noise for days, but does nothing that it claimed it would do. I don’t recommend this product at all.

Edit - Thanks for providing more info. It looks like you purchased the product back in 2022. The only correspondence we have record of is a question about the OTG cable. So it looks like you never reached out for support on the converter.

Resolved Quickly
Purchased a pop-up mobile external dvd-rw device for my pc from zilkee. The item was shipped from China and took over 3 weeks to arrive. The device was defective and would not run. Zilkee customer support was not helpful: their response was, "It's plug and play.". After contacting them twice and getting the same response, I asked for authorization to return the item. They make it very hard to return anything and do not cover the cost of return shipping.
After submitting a negative review I was contacted quickly by a zilkee rep who offered to reship a replacement for free. He had the order reshipped within a day. He had it shipped from China via Fedex International service and it arrived in three days. The new DVD RW player works perfectly. Thanks for making it right.

Misleading…don’t be fooled
Thought this would give me back 2 Windows drives,1 Mac drive…followed all directions to the letter,my MacBook Air just kept searching for the drives…everything seemed to be working til it couldn’t find the drives…company said the drives were corrupted,really? ALL of them? Next it was MacBook not compatible with Windows,but it couldn’t even load the iMac drive! Wanted a refund but their only solution was a partial refund and I keep the unit…I am NOT a satisfied customer…….

Thank you for reaching out! The recovery converter is compatible with SATA and IDE drives. It's possible the unit you got was defective, or that there are some technical issues we need to resolve with connecting it to the new device.

What is going on with Zilkee ?
* I need to make clear that I have not purchased or tried this product, so my star rating is meaningless * What struck me is that all the positive reviews read exactly like the Zilkee advert, which looks suspicious to me. The only reviews that looked convincing gave the product a very poor rating. All I would say is that the advert I saw on Facebook definitely gave the impression that the Zilkee would retrieve lost data from a corrupted or broken drive, which it will not.

It sounds like you're complaining about Trust Pilot?
The reviews sound like the advert because the advert describes the value of what the product does. That's a good thing...
Take a closer look at those poor reviews which you say are convincing. They are all complaining about the product not doing functions which it specifically says it doesn't do. Like rescue corrupted drives.
And in the cases were a customer got a defective item, they got a new one and/or a refund, as we promised.
Our positive rating is well-earned.

Cheap,Slow HDD to USB interface
This is a cheap HDD to USB interface that does nothing else than allow you to read the contents of a HDD. It is not a magical data recover tool you will need to buy other software to do that. The speeds are not anything like they claim, it uses USB 2 standards.
Go to Amazon and find something else is a lot cheaper and does the same job

I'm sorry you're unhappy. But I'm unclear as to what you're unhappy about... Did the product not work as described? I don't see anything in your review indicating a fault in the product.
Not sure what you mean by a "magical data recover tool." Such a term doesn't appear anywhere in our copy. And software is also not a "magical data recover tool." So again, it's unclear what the gripe is. The product does precisely what it claims to do, and what thousands of happy customers use it for, i.e., it retrieves files from old hard drives on damaged or defunct computers.
Sure, you can find generic versions, without support, explanation, or compatibility, on Amazon. Customers are free to shop there from whatever Chinese companies they please. Not sure why that is grounds for a hateful review, given that you were free to buy there yourself.

I bought this product to access several harddrives to check the content before disposing of the drives, however the product is useless I am not able to access the drives. Total waste of maney.

Shipping process as slow as molasses in January, or in this case, December!
I placed my order on Nov 24/23 and tracing it through USPS, on Nov 27/23 the shipping label was created but IT IS AWAITING THE ITEM (Swannanoa, NC). You haven't sent out my order yet?? It's Dec 5/23.

Thankyou for letting us know! This is definitely way too long of a shipping time! I checked with our fulfillment team and they said:
"for all non-US orders, we ship through GlobalPost. They are a consolidator. So we send all of our non-US packages to them in large containers, they receive it the next day, and induct it into the correct mail streams for each country.
Looking at this now, one of our container packages that we sent to them is experiencing delays.
I contacted USPS about this, and am awaiting to hear back from them.
USPS should recover this package and deliver it to GlobalPost, who will deliver it to the customer. However, we don't know how long this may take as USPS appears to have mislocated the container package."
So I'm having a new package shipped to you right now.
I apologize that you had this issue! If you end up getting both packages, no worries. You can give one to a friend!

I was under the impression that this device would recover data from a damaged device but that isn’t the case.
Guess it was wishful thinking on my part. It will be helpful to recover from some old ide drives but wasn’t what I was hoping for.

Hi Thomas, thank you for sharing! I'm sorry you had a poor experience. It sounds like we need to do a better job of pointing out what the device can't do. It says it on the product page, but looking at it now, it probably needs to be further up and in bold so people don't miss it, since there's a lot of text on the page.
Unfortunately, for physically damaged drives you normally have to take them in to a specialist. The good news is they can often be recovered.
We'd be happy to get you a refund for your purchase since it didn't do what you were hoping. I'll have the team do that now.
