The auto play feature did not work. Advertised as not needing to download anything to make it run. Had to resort to VLC app to make it work at all. Also laggy with frequent buffering when playing DVD.

Being able to retrieve and save files and photos from a failed or old computer or hard drive is a great thing considering the alternative.

Loved the product, shipping was awful
Loved the product I bought, but despite paying extra for faster shipping and an initial advertisement of product arrival in a few days, it took over a month. I reached out to Customer Service who was polite and responsive. Feeling burned on the shipping cost and time. Won't do that again.

I looked up your order and it looks like that product shouldn't have been eligible for that shipping since we didn't have it in stock at the time, so there was a clear goof up on our end. I completely understand how frustrating that is. I've refunded teh amount you paid for teh expedited shipping.

Watched a video on the product, claimed it was the second coming of Christ, that it could go through passwords and retrieve your data from your old hard drive just like that. Just like that, I own a useless piece of shit, that does nothing to remotely even come close to doing anything. I emailed customer service, THEY are useless, THEY have my money, THEY sell a piece of garbage. Wanted to give me 50 percent off to buy some other useless product from them. Fool me once.......................

Zilkee saved my hard drive info
Had a computer do the big death "cannot find operating system" error screen. Bought a new machine and figured what ever I hadn't backed up on the old machine was gone. Found Zilkee though a quick search and bought the device to reclaim the data. Took the hard drive out and with in 10 minutes I had recovered the entire hard drive!

I'm very sorry you've had this experience. Since your review doesn't specify, and we have no record of you contacting us for support, I don't know what the specific issue is that you're having. We will reach out to you to troubleshoot it. Normally support can solve issues you may have, and if not it may be as simple as sending a new device. In the event of a compatibility issue or that you ordered the product for an application for which it is not suited, we'll refund you.
But the product does in fact work, and has worked for thousands of happy customers who have retrieved files off their old hard drives.

Advertisement does not match product. I’ve tried it on 2 laptops, 2 hard drives and 2 phones and was not able to retrieve any data. Read the fine print, will only work if drives, laptop, phones are functional. If they were functional, why would I need this?!?!?!

Hi Sammy, I'm sorry about your experience. The device doesn't require the laptop you're retrieving from to be functional, just the hard drive. Then you can move the hard drive's data onto a new device.
There's no fine print. What the product does and doesn't do is clearly stated on the product page, all in the same font, and the ads speak to retrieving files from working hard drives from defunct computers, which is exactly what it does.
If you have a working drive and the device still is having trouble retrieving data from it, we can troubleshoot it and replace it if needed, or refund you if you prefer.
If you have a damaged or corrupted hard drive, you likely will need software or to take it to a shop.
If that's the case, we're also happy to refund you.

Hi Patrick, I'm sorry you're having this experience. Unfortunately we have very little control over the couriers for international orders. We've tried many but they all seem to run into these issues.
Works as advertised
Besides the issues that the local courier had with the delivery of the product on time,
The product is excellent works as advertised, I tried it with different types of disks and I was able to access them.

Absolute crap
Absolute crap, it is a hard drive connection device not a recovery device. Only works if the "hard drive is working". Then why the hell do you need to recover it?
Have 6 hard drives all need recovering didn't work on one! Absolute waste of time and money. They need to add a zero start rating or scam rating

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. But lots of people have working hard drives from old or broken computers, which they want to retrieve data from. It's a very common use case.
The fact that it isn't your use case doesn't make it a "scam." Especially because what the product does and doesn't do is spelled out clearly in the product description.
With that said, we're happy to refund you. We're not trying to profit from people who bought the wrong item, just serve the customers who actually need what we sell.

Hi Tom, I'm sorry that delivery was slow. Unfortunately we've had a lot issues delivering within Canada as we're at the mercy of local couriers, but we recently switched carriers and hope to have faster shipping speeds moving forward.
Nearly impossible to retrieve photos from dead phones. They are not stored on simm card.
The Sata/IDE to USB 3.0 Adapter worked great. Was able to recover old work files easily. However, the Multi-Function USB Flash Drive for Android phones was a disappointment due to the fact it cannot retrieve files from non-functioning cell phones, I did receive a partial refund for that product.
