We’re sorry to hear that you feel the Zero Deposit name is misleading.
Zero Deposit provides an alternative to paying a traditional cash deposit upfront. Instead of a tenant’s money being held for the duration of the tenancy, a Zero Deposit Guarantee is put in place.
As with a traditional deposit, tenants remain responsible for any valid costs arising at the end of the tenancy, such as unpaid rent or damage beyond fair wear and tear.
We aim to make the nature of the Guarantee, including the costs involved and how it differs from a traditional cash deposit, clear before customers proceed. We appreciate your feedback and recognise how important it is that customers fully understand the product they are choosing.
If there is a particular aspect of your experience that you feel was not explained clearly, we would welcome the opportunity to understand this further.
