Absolutely perfect experience with YSF from the initial quote through to the installation and aftercare. Couldn't recommend more.

This is our second wood burner instal we’ve had with YSF and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The quality of the products are amazing and the care in which Darren and the team take whilst working around your home is brilliant. Their customer service is second to none, Karen is just brilliant - the whole team we dealt with are! We’ll be back for our 3rd stove very soon!

My initial dealings with Yorkshire Stoves and Fireplaces (YSF Interiors) were positive. I was able to take my time choosing the products that I wanted etc and therefore had high expectations for their fitting service. Sadly, my high expectations were unfulfilled. I received a very disappointing fitting service from the company. It was a disaster from the outset. The initial fitting involved the wrong hearth being laid and poor plastering. After relaying my concerns to the owner via email the owner’s reply was sympathetic and helpful and he even assisted me with choosing a new hearth.

The second attempt at fitting the new hearth and fire involved a new fitter (at my request). However, when the new fitter came to fit the new fire hearth and rectify the initial work that had been undertaken, he had not long commenced working when he began discussing payment for the job and saying that his preference would be to be paid in cash. This was extremely uncomfortable and unfortunately this fitting again was not right. I had assumed the fitter would lay the new hearth under the fire board but he didn’t. He left the old fire board in situ and laid the new fire hearth in front of it. This culminated in there being a gap all the way around the perimeter of the hearth. When I questioned the fitter about this he said that the hearth needed to settle. This was just nonsense. The fitter had just tried to do a quick fix job and in the process tried to mislead me.

Again, after the second fitting the owner was sympathetic. He even said that once the job was completed properly he would send me a nice present to compensate for all the upset that had been caused. This gesture proved my complaints were justified.

On the third and final attempt at fitting the hearth and fire correctly my experience did not get any better. My £2000 fire was plonked in the middle of my living room with no dust sheet to cover it and coffee cups were placed on top of it. I had to ask the fitters to be careful. This fitting experience concluded in a chipped hearth, a fire that would not stay on and the wax stain on my new oak fireplace beam lifting because the fitter decided to oil the beam.

Finally, after months of upset and an extensive amount of emails along with several visits to store I asked for the fire and hearth to be removed and for a refund. This was met with disdain from the owner and the words ‘we are never going to meet your expectations’. The only expectations I had were to have my fire hearth, fire and beam fitted properly. When the fitter came to remove the fire and fire hearth and dismantle the oak beam for me his conclusion was ‘it’s just one of those isn’t it’. Honestly, words failed me.

On a positive note I have since had a new fire hearth, fire and my oak fireplace beam (which was rectified by Jarabosky’s) successfully fitted by Mark Powell Fireplace Installations -highly recommend.

We have been very impressed with the service from start to finish.Yorkshire Stoves and Fireplaces are very customer focused.The attention to detail and the completed installation more than met our expectations.

I had a tatty old gas fired 'coal' effect fire which had seen better days and given up!
I contacted YS and F as they had been recommended by a friend.
Liam came and did a survey of my fireplace and what needed doing and discussed options with me as I wanted to replace the coal effect with a log burner effect. He gave good advice and we agreed a price. We were also able to talk about dates which suited me for installation and shortly after his visit a suitable day was booked.
On the day Anthony and Tony arrived on time and worked efficiently and tidily to install my new stove as well as a chimney liner. They were done within 3 hours. They made sure I was OK with how to use the new stove before they left. Good job YS and F thank you.

We recently had a multi-fuel burner supplied and installed by Yorkshire Stoves and Fireplaces in Huddersfield, and the service was excellent from start to finish.

The surveyor was friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. The office team were equally helpful whenever we spoke with them, keeping everything straightforward and well organised.

The installers were professional, courteous and took real pride in their work. They completed the installation to a very high standard and left everything clean and tidy.

A fantastic experience throughout. We’re delighted with the finished result and would happily recommend Yorkshire Stoves and Fireplaces.

The customer service and the fitters were knowledgable and professional. It is exactly what we wanted and no upselling to be seen. Our living room looks like a million dollars but this fire place was well within budget. Would highly recommend this company

We can highly recommend YSF, they have a great showroom but don't hassle you. The fitter, Tony, did a fantastic, clean job and kept us informed throughout the installation. We love the gas fire we chose and have received lots of compliments on how real it looks.

YSF installed a log burner in my previous home so I didn’t hesitate to contact them when I moved house. This was a bigger job as the original chimney breast had been removed so had to be rebuilt, but now it looks like it’s always been there, I’m delighted with it.

YSF came out to assess the fireplace and gave friendly and comprehensive advice regarding products that would work and pricing. The installation took only around 5hours. The fitters were polite and cleaned up after themselves. The products were good quality and I was really happy with the finished result.

I wanted to share my experience after recently having a log burner stove installed by YSF. From the very beginning to the final stages, I was extremely pleased with the quality of service provided. Liam, in particular was very helpful- not only during our visit to the store , but also when they came to do the property survey . Their friendly approach made the entire process feel straightforward . I couldn’t be happier with the outcome .

I've never been keen on writing reviews but I think in the interests of other customers it's probably best to document my experiences.

We purchased a fire from YSF in Summer 2025 and from what i remember the initial agreed installation was moved at late notice - this is fine - these things happen. The rearranged installation date was agreed but unfortunately things have not gone to plan, or satisfaction really since then.

We purchased a Gazco Loft gas fire with a slate for it to sit on. The fire and slate were not installed very well, firstly the slate was put down but then the fire was not installed to meet the centre of the plate.
It's about an inch away from where it should be.
Originally this was covered by the old carpet but since we have had that replaced it is really obvious that the slate has 3 inches of space on one side to the base of the fire and 5 inches on the other. It looks silly. I told the company about this about 4/5 months ago now and they said we would receive a call but we never did.

Then we had a smell of gas coming from the fire which we thought could have perhaps just been the smell that a new installation makes but it turns out it was a gas leak, that we subsequently had to pay for another company to come out and fix that. It was only £90 but you sort of feel that when you pay thousands for something, it should not be leaking gas... and it should be installed to the centre of the slate. I have taken both these matters up with the company, who to be fair are polite about things. They did offer to reimburse the £90, which really I thought was the very least that should happen but I did accept that - however it's been a month since then and the money has not been re-imbursed. It's not really about the money but it should just be about professional courtesy and customer relations especially when it is a high tariff item. I am disappointed as I hope this review shows. I wish I could attach a photo of the installation.

We booked them to repair and clean our chimney and following their advice decided to buy a new stove and while we were at it, again on their recommendation buy a new liner for the chimney. All this was done back in October. On the phone, it was confirmed that the stove was available, due to it being ex-display and that it was merely the fitting that pushed the date into November. A week before the fitting was due we were told that 'there'd been a mix up' and the stove actually wasn't available. Without consultation or the offer of our money back, they went ahead and ordered us a new stove but the kicker being it wont be ready to install until December 10th. The stove arrived and was only partially installed because the two men that brought it didn't have ladders long enough to complete the new chimney liner installation but AGAIN, don't worry someone will be with you on December 16th to complete the job. It's still not connected.

We may have someone with us on Friday, or maybe Saturday or may be any time before Christmas Eve, (hopefully this year). All of this has stemmed from their error but no sense of urgency or basic customer service, so no surprise they have not had the decency to respond to my email.

Top company. Hassle free response to unforseen issues arriving from fitting of wood burner. No fussing and thoroughly professional. Date stated applies to fitting and follow up. 2024-2025. Thank You

Tony and Adam fitted our new stove over two days. They opened up the fireplace, laid a new hearth and fitted the stove. Great work, balancing out all the unevenness in our old house to make it look symmetric and centred. It looks great! They kept me informed throughout and put up with me wanting things moved a few mm. Highly recommended.

YSF just supplied and fitted my mum’s new multi fuel stove. Have the say the service was great from start to finish. Ordering and setting up finance was easy thanks to regular communication from the sales team, and the fitters (Tony and Adam) were absolutely great which is important when going to peoples homes. They were friendly, knowledgable, respectful and did a fab job of fitting the fire as well as advising us on usage. Would deffo use again!
