I recommend Xmas Direct wholeheartedly. Their products are excellent. I have two sets of outdoor lights which are soon to shine on their fourth Christmas. No big deal, you may think - except that these lights are strung through apple trees in an exposed West Coast of Scotland garden. Rain and wind have had no effect - the lights have been switched on continuously for three years and eleven months. I think this is remarkable because no other lights have lasted more than a couple of months.

Amazed by a couple of the comments below - we have found Xmas Direct to be extremely friendly, knowledgeable of their products, give good advice if you are unsure how much you need and helpful if things go wrong - mostly these seem to be outwith their control (like a rodent nibbling the wiring!). Their products are excellent quality - we have had the same Christmas tree for at least 10 years - still looking as good as the day it arrived! (Suggest you ignore reviews which didn't follow requests for order number or returns - they might have the wrong company!)

Took delivery of these end November...slight delay in delivery but understandable as logistics tough at the moment. They are absolutely fabulous the cool white really stands out. So good that I invested in more to decorate a tree in colour which I extended to and which arrived in 24 hours.. Hint you ideally need long 18mm masonry drill to get into house if you have no outdoor sockets as connectors are larger than standard and robust.

EDIT: Have revisited this review and increased rating as the company have made an effort to stock the pre-2019 replacement lamps again... I have ordered some and will see if they come through.

A bit disappointed with this company as we bought an expensive set of the Xmas Direct Traditional LED fairy lights in 2018, specifically because of the replaceable lamps and thinking this a much better option. I needed to buy spare bulbs for this string for Christmas and it turns out they have changed the design, but the worse thing being that they seem to have completely abandoned support for the previous (not very old) lights and don't even have a stock of spare lamps anymore!
I was going to buy another string of these from Xmas Direct to replace other lights but unfortunately will now look at other options.

I have two item from Xmas Direct, the first is their netting lights and I previously left very negative feedback. This feedback still stands, the product was awful and didn’t last a few weeks in the garden. The lights and wire connectors did corrode and all 6 sets went in the bin. Very unhappy with my purchase however a lovely lady called Elle has turned me around… a little. I have a new set of lights, rubber wires, replaceable bulbs and a completely different feel about them. Not really Xmas lights so likely to install these in the spring around the patio. Fingers crossed, I’ll be back for further updates.

Easy to navigate. Good prices but quality of the products are not great.

Placed an order middle of september for some garlands, which showed on their website as in stock. I was then called to advise they only had 1 in stock not 3 as per their website. As i didnt want alternatives i chose to wait until the next estimated delivery date of 14th October. This was then changed to 21st October, and i checked today to see that estimated delivery is now 29th October. Whilst i appreciate some deliveries are beyond the retailers control, my point is is at no point was i kept updated regarding the alteration to these deliveries, and it was only when i personally checked their website did i see the date keep changing. Shame really as contact with the customer keeps business, however i have chose to cancel my order and order direct from a florist, for exactly the same thing (if not slightly fuller garlands) and will be here beginning of next week....

Extremely poor products that broke within a week of using them and were a complete waste of money. When I complained I was told that no refund or replacement would be offered. What an utter waste of time and money and I wish I'd spent a little more in the first place rather than suffer these terrible products and poor customer service. (Just to clarify, Xmas Direct, the order was made in my wife's name and I've emailed you and spoken with on the phone countless times)

Purchased festoon lights last year off this company Two weeks prior to guarantee running out, two bulbs blew. I emailed and sent pictures of lights light and showing those not working Within three days had a new set delivered. Excellent correspondence, service and would highly recommend

Ordered 2 set of Berry white lights. They were faulty. I sent them an email and they responded quickly. Customer service was excellent and quick. They refunded me back straight away. How it should be done.

Terrible customer service. Ordered 2 warm white festoon light sets in Apr-20 and then a third set in Oct-20. Initially put in separate areas of the garden, brought in over winter and now want to have them all connected as a single set... but next to each other the third set is obviosuly salmon pink/orange, nothing like the first two sets.
Emailed photos to customer service and then escalated a complaint with Director Fiona Cameron. Have been told the massive colour difference is “within tolerance” and when I asked for details of what colour temp variations are ‘within tolerance’ I got a wall of silence. Absolutely garbage, they are totally different light colours. They look ridiculous connected to the normal ‘warm white’ sets, and given they are designed to be modular, it renders expansion of set later pointless as they now tell me “different batches have different colour variations”, which is definitely not on their product description!
AVOID this company. All they care about is bottom line profit, not the customer. The replacement (under warranty) cost to them would have been minimal.

Really disappointed with the service I have had. I ordered some festoon lights, I was out when the courier company tried to deliver, Xmasdirect emailed me to rearrange delivery for a specific day, I stayed in all day, still no delivery, they’ve been sent back to Xmasdirect and now I am being charged £10 for no show. Absolute rubbish, I have no lights and I’m £10 worse off and I stayed in all day for a delivery that never came. Xmas direct have been totally unhelpful and unreasonable!

I recently ordered 20m worth of festoon lights with replaceable bulbs from Xmas direct. Firstly, compared to everywhere else I looked, the lights are much cheaper. They arrived quickly and I was really pleased with the quality of the cabling when it arrived. Unfortunately, when I put up the lights in my garden, I discovered that the lighting harness was missing a light fitting (it was supposed to have 15 fittings per 10m section and there was only 14). Then I discovered that part of the cabling had a cut in it exposing some of the internal wiring. I contacted Xmas direct and they responded promptly and with great customer service. They have sent out replacement ones (which I will receive on the next couple of days). I'm hoping that this was a one off mistake and due to the excellent and prompt customer service, I am still happy with my overall experience. I would definitely use them again.

Delivery was reasonable ok but the lights I ordered were poor quality and not warm white as sold. The lights were so sparse that there is a lot of wire per light. Not very good.

Good products and excellent, swift service.

This is definitely a company to trust with your Christmas purchases.

They know what they are doing, and importantly they have the right level of inventory and staffing to deliver on their promises

Bought a set of icicle lights at a cost of £137. 2 years in they dont work. Contacted xmas direct only to be told, nothing they can do about it. Should last longer than 2 xmas's at that price!! Won't be shopping there again and I advise people not to either. Very high prices for unreliable merchandise. Be warned.

We have used Xmas Direct on previous occasions and have always been impressed by the service provided. Had a few discussions about extra cost of shipping to offshore location, which was resolved very efficiently.
Our order was made around 1pm and we got our lights lunchtime the next day, couldnt believe how they'd done it.
The LED Connectable lights are very good value and do exactly what the description suggests. We would not hesitate using Xmas Direct going forward. Thanks to the team there for sorting our delivery queries, we are grateful.

Not as good as they used to be..... sent me the wrong cable which wouldn't connect properly and emails went unanswered.... had to chase for a response... seem to have lost the "personal touch"....

I ordered some blue static led lights which you can string together. The delivery was prompt and the lights are fantastic to use. No massive transformer that takes up the whole of your double 13 amp socket but a 13 amp plug that just plugs in. With the facilty to add more lights by simply pushing one end into the other, you can make it as long as you like. They are in continous use and are solidly made a good bright blue.
