I bought some low voltage outdoor festoon lights over a year ago, tested them for a summer party and found a third of them were failing, possibly due to them filling up with water over the winter? So occasionaly products do become faulty but it's how the company deals with those faults that counts. They were great, offered to replace FOC) even though had been 15 months since I first purchased then they showed me some alternatives as I'd lost confidence in the original product so we agreed I'd just pay the difference. New lights truning up in a couple of days ready for the party - I will be recommending and coming back in the future.

Great customer service and we were even able to figure out a solution to droop the postage cost. Really brilliant to be able to speak to real people!

Cannot rate this company's customer service and all staff high enough. Had an issue with an intermittent rope light which was sorted out rapidly. Old one collected and new one replaced within a day! No quibbles. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable when I rang for advice. The product is of excellent quality and really pleased with it. Thank you Sparkling Lights

I had a problem with our lights so contacted the company for advice.
They replied promptly and with suggestions of how to diagnose the problem.
On finding out which part was faulty they organised a replacement immediately.
I would highly recommend this company as the after service is outstanding!

I bought some connectable low voltage micro LEDs in December to put up in my house and they are fantastic. I love the way they look and they feel robust.
The service from Xmas direct was excellent and my order arrived very quickly (next day!). Will definitely order again.

Fantastic customer service from the lovely Laura at Xmas Direct. My initial enquiry was vague and no matter how often it was changed, the support and assistance was first class.

I purchased a set of Home Series cluster lights from Christmas Direct for outdoor use in 2022. Used them that Christmas and in 2023 and 2024. Max 250 hours running time. A few bulbs failed in 23 and then many more in 24 rendering them useless. I have handled and stored them with care and understand that LEDs should have a life measured in thousands of hours. Is something wrong with them I wonder. As an earlier reviewer said, could it be that they are not fully waterproof.
When I contacted Christmas Direct they stated that they could not replace the lights free of charge as they are only covered by a one year warranty. However, they did offer a 20% discount and then went on to say that if I want something more durable I should purchase the Pro Series lights. When I said that I thought the lights should last longer than one season they said that they have no idea how they have been handled and stored. If the lights had been in permanent use rather than just over the Christmas periods then I guess their stance would be slightly more understandable. But even so some companies do offer longer warranties eg Lightsforfun 2 years and Noma 3 years.
Given all that I have said and considering Christmas Direct state on their website that they take pride in offering the highest quality products, is it unreasonable to expect a replacement set? I will let you be the judge of that.

This was my second purchase from xmas direct. This time, though, I had to return the lights I'd ordered because I asked for the wrong colour. The speed and efficiency of getting my refund was amazing. I will 100% be ordering from them again 😊

I bought the Xmas outdoor lights in Nov 23 and had issues with getting them to work ( purely human error) mine ! Thankfully the team at Xmas Direct helped me with the issues and resolved them. Roll over 1 yr Dec 24 and I put up the lights and the remote control wasn’t working despite removing the battery after use last yr and trying a new one. I contacted Xmas Direct and within an hour of my email asking if I could purchase a replacement RC they replied and sent one FOC. With absolutely no charge even for postage. This then allowed the annual switch on and my display of the light combinations to go ahead. Not only was the day saved but the Grand children were grinning from ear to ear and so was I.

After lots of Amazon cheap rubbish I wanted some quality lights , the pro series fit the bill they are solid and can be used a can be used again and agsin . Next day delivery was spot on

I have never had such fabulous customer service from Christmas Direct. I had an issue with an order, a slight mishap you might say but, I rang them and it was immediately resolved. The customer support was genuinely concerned about making it right and dispatched a replacement overnight. Absolutely wonderful.

Bought 50m rope light, order arrived and opened the box and the plug connector(male) had a crack which wasn't good and the joint to it was dodgy it would work rarely, only got 1 season out of them which was disappointing paying a fair bit for them.

Beware of the Robins, they don't have tails. Bought these for making Yule Logs as Christmas presents. I wanted standard European Robins. These don't have tails. I think they are a rare 'Norwegian Blue' parrot. Waiting now to see if cost and postage are returned promptly...we'll see.

Bought some string of 50 LED lights, on their website they looked like one string of tightly wound together cable. We received a mess of 3 cable loosely wound together. they look nothing like the picture on their website. But are refusing to pay for the return postage.
DO NOT USE this company

I ordered from this website two years ago and had a great service, so when I wanted to buy new lights I decided to use them again. What a mistake. Their website states they are working all year round - yet my order from 4 weeks ago hasn’t been processed and no one is replying to my emails. £71.85 gone and nothing to show for it. Avoid!

This company should be avoided - you’ll find my experience similar to their many other 1 star reviews here unfortunately:-

We purchase several hundred pounds of lights from them last Christmas. These worked fine last year for around 4 weeks and were installed and uninstalled per instructions and stored in their original packaging until this year.

When we came to use them this year 50% of them no longer worked. We immediately contacted them to request an exchange or refund and were told that as it was outside the warranty of 12 months (by 9 days!!) we weren’t entitled to anything. Clearly this isnt inline with the intent of the sale of goods act which states goods should be fit for purpose for a “reasonable time” and no would would reasonably spend hundreds of pounds on Christmas lights which only lasted one year and this was pointed out to them.

They didn’t care at all and just kept blindly responding making reference to their warranty while ignoring the consumer laws which bound them.

In short they seem to sell shoddy and poor quality products at premium prices and then hide behind a poor warranty and customer service.

We have now gone else where (lights4fun) and lights are clearly a better quality with thick, well insulated wires and connections.

You should avoid this company like the miserable Christmas plague they are.

Edited follow response: For further evidence of their lack of understanding of consumer law, please see their response below. Goods must be fit for the purpose they are intended for a “reasonable” time (not six months as they state) and the warranty starts from delivery of goods (the 9 days I quote) not shipment (the sixteen days they quote).

Absolutely fantastic company. Customer service is 10/10 and delivery time is excellent. Company goes above and beyond which is amazing!

I will be using this company for all future purchases :)

I ordered from the website for outdoor lights - used the webchat to check what I thought I needed was actually what I needed. I had a very rapid response with confirmation from the knowledgable staff that I was on the right track. I ordered through the very easy-to-use website - very explicit about lengths, plugs needed, stretch, extensions, etc. Delivery was quoted as 2 days, it arrived next day - which I was very pleasantly surprised about given that it's early December. Order arrived exactly as I had requested. Easy to install, instructions given about connections, etc. I really love the end result. I have used this company before for indoor lights, and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. If you're not sure about what you need, you can give measurements and thoughts, or even a sketch, and you'll get a professional opinion. I love the personal touch.
