I don't know quite where to start with this 'experience' / ruined birthday surprise.
We booked onto a flight the night before at Oxford to be told the next day it was in Henley due to building work at the launch site. According to them this is a reasonable change of location. I would argue it is a sign of their disorganisation.
We arrived at the meeting point 120 seconds late to find no one there and no means of contacting them. No one had the courtesy to give us a quick call. Hilariously, I was sent a customer review email the next day to rate my flight and experience.
After many complaints we have been effectively left with no balloon flight, no vouchers and a significant loss of money.
They clearly don't care about customers and I think anyone considering buying their vouchers should be warned.
(Additional: As can be seen from the below AI assisted reply, they truly don't care and have 'banked' my £340)

Bought as a Christmas gift
Bought as a Christmas gift for my partner as she had always wanted to go on a hot air balloon flight. And she loved it , we both went and from start to finish was well looked after by the pilot .
It was a fantastic experience and was greeted with a goblet of bubbly after we landed.
I would recommend going on it if it's something you're interested in doing.

It was a beautiful evening over Oxford and we enjoyed it immensely. We were fortunate with no cancellation but were disappointed that the venue was changed by the local council not Virgin.

Absolutely loved every minute of it
Absolutely loved every minute of it. Our pilot Gary was brilliant and explained every step of the flight making the whole experience very relaxing and enjoyable.
Helping to prepare the balloon for the flight and packing everything up afterwards adds so much fun to the day and really makes you feel like you’re part of the team.

Paddock Wood balloon flight
The pilot Damon Bridger and his two colleagues were very knowledgeable and skillful in setting up the balloon. The flight was smooth and seamless. Many landmarks were highlighted to us on the flight. We felt at ease and enjoyed every minute.

Fabulous experience!
I wa lucky enough to be given a voucher for my 50th birthday. I had always wanted to fly in a hot air balloon and I wasn't disappointed! The whole experience was perfect, from booking to landing. The night before, I had an email telling me that the flightline had been updated. I rang the number and was given clear instructions from the recorded message. It was a very early start but was worth it. The pilot (Gary) was very professional and had a reassuring, calm manner. The flight was so peaceful, I would have happily stayed up there all morning. I wasn't so keen on the landing!🤣 I would say that you need to be relatively fit and agile just to get in and out of the basket. I'm hoping that I'll get the chance to do it again in the future. Thank you for a fabulous experience!😍

Nothing wrong with the experience it was the location. Disappointing just seeing farmers fields and housing estates. If you book this be careful of the location you choose. It was not the thrill I was expecting and to be honest not worth the money.

The flight was booked by my family for…
The flight was booked by my family for my birthday although it was cancelled due to the weather when we did go it was a beautiful day. The pilot was very informative about where we were. All in all it was a very good day.

After two cancellations of evening…
After two cancellations of evening flights due to poor weather, we switched to a morning flight which was sublime. It was an early start (0415) to pick up my daughter and arrive at the site as described clearly on the recorded message the evening before. There we met our pilot Mike and his crew. We helped lay out the balloon and took off. The flight over Bath was fascinating and Mike explained the wind layers and his methods of control. The landing was very impressive. Gentle and precise and we helped fold up the canopy followed by a celebratory bubbly and a minibus back to our starting point. Well managed throughout and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

4 years in the making
Having waited nearly 4 years to fly it was worth the wait.
The process of having to rebook every time your flight is cancelled is a pain as I'm sure you could automatically be transferred to another flight but if it's up to you to do then it's your responsibility if you fail and then miss out, losing your payment.
Anyway the flight, it was amazing to finally get up above Shrewsbury and see the town from above, you do have to put a bit of work in to get the balloon ready and put it away afterwards but the flight is so peaceful and the scenery stunning so it's worth it. Our pilot and ground crew were brilliant, informative and funny and getting back to base was easy. Would definitely recommend and would do it again.

After the disappointment of a couple of cancelled flights due to the weather, this one went ahead as scheduled. The booking process was simple and the recorded instructions were clear and helpful.
The evening flight was well organised and very professional, credit to Mike and has crew for making it such an enjoyable experience. We would recommend anyone to take a flight.
