Had two noisy sticky bedroom 12 pane sash windows replaced with double-glazed equivalents.
Huge improvement in sound appearance and usability.
But I thought people might be interested to know that taking out and reinstalling the windows for exterior painting and cleaning is very easy and works extremely well.

Two twelve-pane sash with delicate glazing bars in a Grade 2 farmhouse.This wasn't an 'installation', there was real craftsmanship and experience here. Rob dealt with the problems of the 200 year old cob with real care, he worked right through the weekend to get the job done, turned up exactly when he said he would, was friendly, efficient and left the place clean and as he found it. From initial quote to survey and accounts it was all a very positive experience. Reassuring to now have someone to turn to for any window issues in future.

Ventrolla replaced my wooden sash windows. The installation took 4 days and was completed by Dave and James. I was very impressed with the pride they took in their work, attention to detail, their craftmanship and the quality of the job that they finished. I was able to get a fast appointment to get my windows renovated. The work was done quickly and with minimum disruption. The carpenter did a fantastic job reconditioning my original sash windows and adding the Ventrolla system. He was friendly and very helpful answering my queries and requests. The finished work looks great and I am very pleased with the results. All in all great service and a great success!

We had a number of the sash windows in our listed building refurbished. The whole Ventrolla team was responsive and accommodating. They kept us informed and respected our timing requirements. Justin, who undertook the work was a pleasure to have around. He kept us informed throughout and did a splendid job.

The team turned up very quickly (within twelve hours), and solved our problem at once.

Rob, James and Tyler did an amazing job with my windows! They arrived on time, were respectful and communicative and replaced the windows in record time. They even tidied up after themselves which some people don’t do so very happy with their service! Will definitely recommend!

I ordered some 8 windows from ventrolla, changing my old single glazed to double glazed. things went very smoothly, and the installation guys, Mason was the team leader, were excellent and did everything perfectly and fast and very responsive to any queries or issues I had. Central despatched the wrong catches-platinum instead of chrome but they rectified this within days. I was nervous about ordering so many windows- how can one tell between suppliers?- but was very happy with everything ventrolla did and the excellent end result.

Ventrolla replaced my old sash windows and French doors with new matching double glazed replacements. The waiting time from ordering was quite long but once on site, the team (Simon, James, Rob and Tyler) did an efficient job of installing the items. There was good communication with queries quickly answered, they turned up on time and everything was left clean and tidy at the end of each day. The finished products look good and work well. The Ventrolla method of removing the sashes to paint them was explained, and after initial scepticism (from my painter), it worked very well as it was easier to paint the sashes (flat on a table rather than in the window!) and so quicker with a good finish.

Really poor after service. Doors swelled and would not lock properly and company continually ignored my requests to deal with the issues. Just received a response to this review from Ventrolla claiming to contact me to discuss, but no contact has been made. I would suggest never using Ventrolla South East, as the work and service is abysmal.

I do not feel it is appropriate to edit the above comments, nor amend my initial score, as these factors initiated Ventrolla Head Office taking action, I will provide an update...

After years of trying unsuccessfully to get Ventrolla South East to act, Ventrolla Head Office have taken remedial actions to improve my situation. They blame company structural issues with Ventrolla South East, but I cannot comment on this. Personally, I would not use Ventrolla South East, but the service from Ventrolla Head Office has been better.

Following this review, they have 'eased' our doors and also confirmed that the previous work completed by Ventrolla South East to remedy the problem was not appropriate.

Whilst I still have further remedial work to complete (painting) caused by this issue, at least the doors can be locked and opened now! However, until the season has passed, where seasonal swelling and contracting has passed, I will have no idea whether their resolution was a success.

I will provide a further update next summer, in case it's helpful for any potential Ventrolla customers.

We have now used ventrolla several times for carrying out work to sash windows and draftproofing to external doors. We have always found them efficient and reliable and work of a high standard. Toby who carried out our most recent renovations was helpful polite and took great care to cover and secure things in the room he was working in and to tidy up when the work was completed

Ventrolla restored our original 1860's sash windows and fitted their draught proofing system. A wonderful improvement and a warm house! We are delighted with the quality of the work and competitive price. The windows are now looking great and are easy to maintain.

We've used Ventrolla 5 times over the past 20 years, most recently to replace some of our existing single-glazed sashes with double-glazed ones. These are visually identical to the originals, and run in the same boxes, so only the sliding bits have been changed.

The Ventrolla system that allows removal for decoration etc. is great, and we've always been very impressed with the fitters, most recently Derek Oswald, who always arrived on time, was polite, knowledgable and helpful, and made extra efforts preparing the room with dust sheets and tidying up afterwards to ensure that everything stayed clean and dust-free.

A few years ago ventrolla fitted 3 sash and case windows in my victorian flat and they were excellent. We had them back this week to do another 2 sash windows at the back of the flat and we just couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you so much to Paul & Matt who fitted the windows. They were highly skilled, really knowledgeable and worked so hard. All rooms were left tidy and they were really friendly to speak to.
