I used this service this year (2020) to book appointment for my wife ILR and biometrics card which was very good and easy process however when trying to book appointment for her British passport their is no appointments available at all, none anywhere in the UK. The UK Home Office really needs to look into this and remove these crooked people and their services and put the services back into all the Post Offices we have in the UK instead.

Thousands of people like myself have been shot in back side from these crooked people and now are disabled to process our's or family applications further !

I called first thing at 9am on (10/09/2020) and was 1st in the line to speak to someone. I waited 26minutes and still no one answered the telephone. I was listening to some random music and someone saying their is no one to answer my phone calls, if that is the case then why are you all still in service? Ah yes to collect the phone call money from all of us of course ! I spent almost £30 in two days and still haven't spoken to anyone yet.

I told the Home Office of this and they don't seem interested at all even though I spent £1350 on my wife application, I am disgusted at this !

People do spend your time calling UKVCAS; it is waste of time and huge amount of money !

It is not right or fair at all !

The app developed by Sopra Steria fails to allow an iPhone (compliant specs) user to take/upload the facial image. This is a known error since the app was released and the company has done nothing to fix it, besides collect additional revenue from "customers" for customer service calls.
The fact that an app paid for by the government which advertised the ability to upload biometric evidence fails to take a selfie. How in 2020 does an app developed by a "European leader in digital transformation" fail to take a selfie? There are apps for children to make their faces look 80 years old, in real time. Yet, somehow the government cannot find a company who can produce an app to assist people through their uncertain immigration process during a pandemic that only needs to take a selfie from different angles.

I cant book appointment for 6 weeks,I check every day. I only need to change my BRP which has expired, I cant travel without BRP, Im hung up here, tried to call, for about an hour I listened to music for £ 20, I have to attend appointment til 20 October, but how? I wrote a complaint twice, received no answer,terreble service. Some kind of vicious circle

Tried to book an appointment for 6 weeks now for biometrics etc - look each day - non available even paid ones! Home office says I have to do it by a certain date which is now very rapidly approaching. So what are you supposed to do? Sopra Steria are just not interested - their premium rate call number is a scan (UK gov advised that all gov agencies should NOT use these numbers 3 years ago!). Previously used post office - very simple very easy and very efficient. Now facing visa being refused for non attendance for biometric appointment I cant book!
Total scam! Disgusted with this corrupt government.

Had an appointment for my son biometric they are big scammers and ukvi is also a partner in this , honestly these are shameless and disgusting cruel people they are making money when immigrants or even local people have lost their jobs

I had to pay £70 just for 3 minutes service for taking photo and finger with standard service appointment. They never have any free appointments though they are telling they have.
I didn’t get any confirmation via email or other way that I have done biometric. Literally, I have do not have proof that I have done biometric with them.

A migrants milking company. Their service is a nightmare. Limiting standard appointments so they can sell their premium ones. In case of an issue they don't have a free customer service number instead u have to pay to talk to them (if you are lucky, if not u will pay charges but get disconnected). They have a silly excuse to every silly mistake.

I had to wait for 15 minutes on the phone (chares apply) then the line was suddenly cut even before getting to speak to a representitive. a joke.

The government don't care how awful this service is (there have been multiple stories in the media as well as all the reviews here), because immigrants are second class citizens even if they pay huge amounts of tax into the British economy. The fact that you can pay for a "premium lounge" to give your fingerprints says it all. What an absolute joke!

Have had a conversation with Elina on the 9th January at around 9:45 am in regards to cancelling and re booking the appointment at an earlier date. She was a perfectionist in the way she provided her exceptional customer services, a real gem for Sopra Steria.

This is absolutely ridiculous! Disorganised and total rip off! We are packed in little waiting room like a animals. Paying £110 for APPOITMENT. This is just money making madness.

Clearly the government is not in charge of this.

Dreadful but unfortunately no other option

Such a poor taste in customer services. I don't know where to start. I went for my appointment in Reading on (13.01.2020). My appointment was at 1.30pm i paid £60 for bloody fingers prints and scanning. There were two ladies working at customer services desks. One was White, the other one was black. The black lady was the one dealing with me, sadly i don't her name.

The black lady spoke to me like i'am second class citizen. She was talking to me as if she was not interested in serving me at all. She was so arrogant towards me, telling me how to do finger prints and take photograph. I felt threatened, shaken and annoyed that i paid £60 to be shouted at.

If you believed that a paid for advice from a government office should be much more reliable than any other offices or individuals, You Are Making Big Mistake!!! Although UKVI is also referred to by various embassies and consulates, but you can only get correct answers, Not better than answers you could google online, for simple questions. Otherwise if you naively believe it’s a correct answer, you will be the one bearing it’s full consequences—under arrest, detaining, sending back. Meanwhile you must pay all the hotel & transportation fees on your own if you choose not to stay in the detention center. Afterwards if you get back to USVI with following up questions, you will be simply told that your questions are too special, therefore you must contact their advisors individually. BUT you advertised that this paid services were offered by your experienced Advisors! This is worse than just pretending you have the answers!

Attended an appointment in Reading after paying online. Application was rejected because of not attending the appointment which l had done. So basically, money gone and need to start all over again
