The situation is: I'm Spanish and I have been living, working (and paying tax) in the UK since March 2018. I recently married my wife who is also Spanish but doesn't have settled status in the UK just so we can live together in the UK. We applied for a spouse visa after getting married and paid 3000£ during the visa application. We got it declined because we didn't provide sufficient evidence that my wife speaks English. She is an English teacher and she provided a masters degree in English teaching from a reputable Spanish university (certiciate was correctly translated to English because we know very well that British people only speak their own language). Decision was made that this is not suficient proof that she speaks English and therefore visa was declined. We lost more than 3000£ already and now we are planing to move to another country where they respect and value immigrants. If you are an inmigrant, please stay away from this country, they don't want you, you are rubbish for them and they will treat you as second class "citizen" .

there is no negative stars other wise not even single star deserver by this uk country Genuine feed back ... I had a negative experience with the UK immigration process. It seems like they intentionally reject visitor visas using weak and unnecessary excuses, which made me feel scammed and cheated as they dont give even chance to reclaim or apeal or get refund of fees . I lost my non-refundable visa and biometric fees, and as a result, I have decided never to visit this worst looting country again. It has been the worst experience of my life

UKVI instructed TNT deliveries to inform deliveries with a time slot of 8am-8pm. Its not a trackable service. In short, UKVI wants us to sit all day waiting for our passports/BRPs.
C'mon UKVI! People are busy, we have work to do! Is it too difficult to instruct the courier company to say the window period (time) of the delivery? Coz apparently you (UKVI) instructed them not to!

What a joke, 2nd time I now applied for tourist visa for my gf, first time went through agent. Not sure if we got rejected as passport was return with no visa stamp in it, but there was no letter either or email.explaing if it was rejected, then why. So we could fix. We escalated it two times at a cost, still did not get an answer, all they said is u can escalate it 5 times then it will goto home office, all.of that for someone not doing there job properly. U have to wait 15 working days each time. 2nd time did it myself, got to part 5 of 6 , paid the fee, returned to application, to do part 6, no it said u goto pay first, thought it had not gone through, 3 times I paid, each time money gone out, spoke bloke today best he can say is start new application, must be computer issues, then he said takes 28 days to get refund, if not ring us up again pay another £5.00 we escalate it. Your having a laugh. You owe me £324. Your system, your fault, I am the one who suffers,

Shameful. A government institution that feels like a dirty scam. Absolutely pathetic, slow service and they charge you for everything. And I mean everything. First you pay for the visa a hefty £400. Then you pay for your visa appointment - £60, then to submit the documents during the appointment - £30, if you want someone to help you submit the documents while you're in the visa center, get your wallet ready, it's another £40. If you want to talk to someone on the phone be prepared to pay at least £10 for 10 min chat where all the operator says is: 'let me type the notes; I'll pass it to someone; here is your reference number'. If you want to send an email it's another £3... Excuse me? What is the £400 for if you literally have to pay for every step of the application? How can you charge people to support the service that you have already charged for?And a poor service to begin with! You going to end up restricting all tourism if you carry on like this. If feels greedy, embarrassing and just low. I honestly don't understand how someone can sleep at night knowing what a pathetic excuse for a service they have created.

I paid for a visit visa for my sister, who has previously visited the UK and returned within the specified time. I clearly stated that I will be supporting her for the duration of her stay, not to mention that my Dad has also been here and returned recently without issues. Now their response mentions that some documents were omitted, but they have failed to review supporting documents that address their concerns. Sadly, after paying for a 2-year visa application plus TLS contact center fees, etc., we cannot complain or appeal the prejudiced and arbitrary decision.

@ UKVisa, I believe that a careful reconsideration of the evidence provided will demonstrate the legitimacy of my sister’s application and the genuineness of her visit to the UK.

Applied for uk visit visa from india for my in laws, website states current processing times 3 weeks. After 6 weeks we contacted ukvi as haven’t heard from them regarding the application, and of course it’s not free so paid £2.74 for a query which they replied that they have escalated this to relevant department and we should hear from them very soon. Ok so another week gone and I chased it again. This time got reply that’s it’s ok 4 working days and that ‘relevant department’ will respond within 15 working days so that’s another 3 weeks. So basically it’s a scam to deliberately hold on to the application and you paid amount to chase it and wait again. Proper shocking.

I feel very disappointed to the services of Home office during my case. I feel uncomfortable to pay for £9.66 for just forwarding my message to Mr. Michael Dunne for he cannot even do a proper response to enquiry.

I left two call just to forward my messages to "suitable officer". I was asking for IHS refund. I clearly stated that it is IMPOSSIBLE to deposit into my original account which mean I cannot get the refund even if it is approved as my account is closed.

And he cannot response to my enquiry. He keep copy-and-paste the policy without answering my enquiry and closed file after that.

I understand it is possible that there is no solution for this at this moment. But at least he need to try to resolve it for me or inform me what should I do if I want to get the refund.

Feeling disgusting about the services here. It will definitely upset people who needed the services which they are paying so much to them for doing nothing. Also, their complaint system is not working too.

We pay for a service to get a tourist visa and they don’t even bother checking our documents properly. Not only they quoted documents which I’ve never submitted but also they got my nationality wrong and dare give me a refusal although I have a great travel history. No complaints or appeal is allowed!

Totally disgusting and unprofessional attitude. They don’t help and don’t care the members I’ve come across are very argumentative . And to think we pay for this appalling service .being a British citizen I’m sick to death of being questioned as to where I’ve been my date of birth, name and has your passport worked on the scanner before .shocking

If I could give a 0 rating I would. Honestly the worst experience ever in my life. so stressfully, ridiculous and you are left unable to speak with a person to try to resolve your problem. only emails and and they responded to you they dont answer or assist you to get the missing invite email that they claimed was sent to me. i received all the email they send to me when I chased my application but for some reason I have not receive the most important email. Super stressful situation!

I've explained my problem with my application, and I've been bullied by woman when wanted to make a complaint. They called me back to say the call is recorded, and whenever i said i record my call too they said it's not allowed. I can record by UK law to protect myself. They said i will terminate the call if you continue. Convert was with Ana/Ane from team EIGHT (8). They've been racist and discriminating me as European living in Uk. They accused me that i never filled in application, which i did in 2018. Ive got proof. Really arogant people.

Awful service to use. Expensive, humiliating and outdated. Had to wait three additional months (9 in total) for the visa to come through as their "online application app" is about as well optimised and functional as a M25 car wreck.

There is no support or precise info given neither on gov.uk, nor via direct contact. You speak to three different agents on phone and get told three different things - often directly contradicting each other.

Just as a cherry on top - these jokers use TNT parcel service to deliver documents. Just about the most unreliable and careless service available. I guess it's true - the similarities attract.

Staff work very well and fastly

I called on 29.12.22, 4th in queue. So knew hopefully would not take too long call be answered. Tanzeel answered call. He was very helpful. He even waited patiently on the phone whilst I logged in to get an appointment booked as had difficulty online before. This saved me having to call back if still had problems. I know most reviews not good, but this advisor was a clear example and knew his guidance well.

All VFS staff is very helpful and friendly.
