Very poor experience, would heavily avoid. Isn't worth your time or money. Choose another phone insurer.

Trusted Insurances is a great, cost-friendly and reliable insurance provider. I found them through a comparison website and was skeptical at first as to whether this was a genuine operating insurance company, and some of the other customers' reviews on Trustpilot were quite negative, however I do not regret choosing them. I purchased a policy for my mobile device a while ago, and really liked the fact that you could choose to have your excess as low as £25, which is really difficult to find among other reliable insurance providers.

Fast-forward to last week, my son dropped his phone (which I had covered under the policy) and making the claim was not a struggle at all. I did it through their online portal, which was easy to navigate through, and was approved almost instantly after I submitted the claim and paid the excess. I was then given the option to get it repaired, replaced or repaired at a Genius Bar at an Apple Store (given the state of the phone, we decided to get it replaced). I was sent a link to create a returns label through Royal Mail free of charge and posted the device the next day at my local Post Office.

I was able to track my phone as it reached the company providing the replacements, who are Smartphone Group Limited. Upon a Google search, I found them to be a legitimate company. A day after them recieving my device, I was updated with a status 'In Progress' which after confirming via a call with the insurance customer service meant that a replacement device was being ordered and I would receive the tracking details once shipped. The details were uploaded the same day and I received the device the next day as they had shipped it generously by Special Delivery for 1PM.

The replacement device is superb, it is in brilliant condition and is a like-for-like device. My son was able to restore his data through a backup and is now with a fully functioning phone!

I am truly impressed by the top-notch service provided by Trusted Insurances and will be insuring the rest of my gadgets with them in the near future. I would highly recommend insuring your gadgets with this provider, as they offer competitive prices and low excesses, all while providing a hassle free claims service.

We buy insurance so that we get help when we need it. So the whole process should be as stress free as possible. Unfortunately that is not the case here. A great insurance company deals with things quickly without unnecessary delays. This company will ask you for documentation that doesn’t exist and is impossible to get. Sky mobile don’t provide “proof of usage” or “proof of ownership” via pdf. I have an email with the order details and my bills. I spoke to management at Sky Mobile and the information I have sent would have been sufficient for their insurance but this company trusted insurances and their claim company Taurus are just making life difficult. I would seriously advise you to get insurance elsewhere and probably through your phone provider as they will have all this information and you won’t be treated like a fraudulent claim from day 1.

edit: the claim was approved and i got it repaired but "conveniently" when you try to upload the documents it just hangs. have tried multiple devices on multiple days with multiple browsers. This isnt good enough

Excellent service, quick quote. No 5 stars because I had to purchase another product instead of adding a gadget to my existing one.

I have been a customer with this company since 2019, and it is a very wonderful company in its dealings, and they exchanged a computer for me that my son broke, and they dealt with ease

I wanted to add a device and the customer service lady was very rude and not helpfull at all please avoid this vompany

I made a claim for accidental damage on my smartphone, it got approved so I sent my phone off to them over a week ago. 10 day's later I'm still without a phone, this company can't fulfil their 24 to 48 hour time limit of providing a new handset.

So my advice, if you need a functioning phone every day, like most people do don't hold your breath you'll get it within the time they promise.

Also, the coustomer service phone number is a waste of time. You get palmed off and told to call back later for updates, that they never seem to get!

Unhelpful, uninterested people on the other end of the phone. Don't think they actually understand the inconvenience and hassle it causes their customers. No compensation is offered either.

Finally got some actual answers and updates after contacting the complaints team via email, whereby I did make a formal complaint. One empty apology after another.

The best interaction I've had was with a lady from a different department over the phone. The ironic thing is she was there to cancel all three of my insruance policies. So, you get nice people when you've had enough and decide to leave.

AVOID. Go somewhere else, I will be.

The best insurance company I’ve ever dealt with, hands down. Been with Trusted Insurances for my gadgets for over three years and have never received such a hassle free service before - I’ve unfortunately had to make a few claims and these have been resolved quickly and without hassle both by their in house repair team and directly through the Apple Store Genius Bar. My iPhone 13 Pro was repaired and reimbursed in full in the space of a week. I will recommend this firm to anyone. It’s run by people who are very helpful, not some enormous call centre, and their self service website is really efficient.

Terrible claims service.

I submitted a mobile phone insurance claim yesterday and have heard nothing.

I just called their helpline to be told they could do nothing for at least 2 days at which point they will review it and possibly start the repair process. Couldn't even tell me if they had everything they needed for the claim or the timeline for repair once they have everything.

Ridiculous for mobile insurance when you need fast and efficient replacements. I would advice sticking with bank or phone company insurance which replace/repair within 24 hours!

Katie was extremely professional and helpful with all my queries and I was able to make informed decisions on the service available.
