Amazing price for the bed frame we bought. Far better price than from anywhere else. Amazing quality, solid oak. Very fast delivery from the transport company they used. Arrived on time with updates to keep us informed every step of the way. Drivers were polite and respectful. We couldn't have asked for more from the Sleep Shop. Would definitely recommend them to others and would use again.

Absolutely delighted by my mattress purchase and fabulous delivery service by your partnering transportation company. The mattress arrived far faster than I imagined. It was taken up to the bedroom of my choice and was very well wrapped in two lots of plastic to protect it. I was also very well informed of my purchase and delivery at every stage.

We had to order a different mattress, after sleeping on a new mattress from a very large company for one month, the mattress was much too firm, and as I am only 46 kg, gave me so much pain, my mobility was so badly affected, I could not even dress myself, and putting one foot in front of the other was so difficult, but they would not exchange or refund, telling me it was a 'comfort' issue.
So after much research online I found the The Sleep Shop. I picked a reasonably priced, softer mattress, with good reviews, and phoned them, to make sure I would get a sleep trial, and I was reassured. So I paid online, got a phone call shortly after to organise delivery 48 hours later. It came on time. We have slept on the new mattress for 4 nights now, and although not all of my aches and pains have completely disappeared yet, I am so much better, and my family have their mum back. You cannot know how happy you have made me, 11 months on from open heart surgery. ( So I know pain!) Wish I had come to you in the first place. I will next time, and thoroughly recommend. Have ordered from the Sleep Shop before so had no hesitation in ordering again. Their pricing is very competitive including delivery and the item was in stock. They phoned me as soon as I placed the order online and could have arranged the delivery the next day which was a Friday, however I asked for delivery the following Monday and it arrived as expected. Could not have asked for better service, thank you.

Very easy to order on the online shop. After placing my order a gentleman called me to advise when my mattress would be delivered. The day before delivery I was advised of my delivery time slot. Ordered a double mattress and a mattress collection over a Bank Holiday weekend. Phone call received the next day (still Bank Holiday weekend) to thank me for my order and to explain what will happen next. As the first delivery/collection date was inconvenient for me, another date was agreed a few days later. Very happy with my new Silentnight Studio mattress, great customer service and a great price too.

I had never used or heard of The Sleep Shop until searching online for suppliers of Shakespeare beds to replace a used mattress. You offered a good priced so I took a chance and placed my order. From the moment I placed the order I had an email of confirmation followed by a personal phone call explaining the delivery process and timescale. Closer to delivery, I had another phone call reaffirming the arrangements followed by an email from the delivery company. The night before delivery, I was given a 4hour time slot and on the day, I had 30 minute notice before they arrived. The two delivery men were professional and courteous and put the bed and mattresses into the correct rooms and although they didn’t assemble, they explained how easy it was to do myself.
I am delighted with both mattresses and bed frame. They are excellent quality at a very good price.
I couldn’t fault Sleep Store or the delivery company and will happily recommend and order from you again.

Appalling delivery standards!

I am a disabled, wheelchair user who lives with chronic pain and I needed to order a new bed from a company that could collect my old bed, as it was, remove/recycle it as well as deliver a new bed on the same day.

I ordered a bed from The Sleep Shop (FGS) in December 2024 and it was due for delivery in January. The offer was free collection and recycle of your old bed and headboard. I contacted them to make sure they would collect it as is, due to being disabled and unable to move it myself. They said this was fine.

When the delivery men came they had no idea how to move the bed downstairs and admitted they didn't normally deliver /collect beds. Yet the website states "Wherever possible we will use our own delivery vans and our own fully trained drivers, however we reserve the right to use a courier system carefully selected to match our own high standards".

In an attempt to move my bed they damaged the walls and ceiling above my stairs and took grooves out of the handrail and spindles. They also damaged brand new bedroom furniture.

In the end they gave up and took the new bed back for storage saying they couldn't do it.

I reported the damage with photos to FGS and was assured by 'P’ that they would claim against the delivery company they had used.

So what about my delivery?

Several days later the same delivery company arrived with a different crew. They attempted to move the old bed to the top of the stairs and then said they couldn't do it. They left with the new bed yet again.

After contacting ‘P’ again his first response was "at this rate there's going to be no money in this sale for us". Well perhaps you should be more diligent in your choice of delivery companies.

When will my new bed be delivered then?

I was told, categorically, that as the delivery crew were incapable of removing a bed (that normal removal men had no issues with when I moved in to the property), I would have to arrange to have the bed completely dismantled and broken up into pieces before the company would come out again. Additionally, I had to send photos of such before they would consider making another appointment. ‘P’ stated a new date for delivery would be that same week.

I arranged for a friend to break the bed into pieces that weekend, but they didn't have time to do the headboard. With no bed, I was forced to sleep in a standard chair in my lounge. This caused me significant pain and affected my ability to sleep.

The delivery company were contacted again. Their response was shocking. I would "have to wait until they [the delivery company] were next in my area and this could be a few weeks”.

I sent a further complaint to FGS who finally arranged for the bed to be delivered at the end of the week. I spent 6 days sleeping in a chair. I've not received any apology for this.

Finally, a third crew removed the bed but refused to attempt the headboard. The latter of which is still in my bathroom as I have no way of removing it myself and I now have to find money to pay someone to dismantle and remove it.

Throughout the whole process I have had to send several emails, plus phone calls to request money for the damage caused. I received a quote for the repairs which came to approx £330. In March I was informed that the delivery company were prepared to offer £75. I refused. If there was appropriate insurance in place then this full amount should be covered.

Several emails/phone calls later, ‘P’ finally confirmed in May that my refund was being processed.

I am still waiting.

Finally I sent a complaint letter to Mark Graves, Director of FGS, first week of July 2025. No response. No surprise. No recompense for damages

Addendum: as this company are more concerned that I used the first name of one of their employees rather than the stress and anxiety they put their customers under, I’ve now had to remove said first name and replace with ‘P’. If only they were as quick to resolve my issues with them!

Great product at great price with next day delivery offered. I chose not to have it the next day and they arranged delivery on the day which suited me. Friendly and efficient service.

Promptly received a call after placing my online order to confirm delivery date. Very pleased with my order, quick delivery and the mattress is perfect. Can't fault anything. I'll be ordering again when I upgrade my youngest to a big boy bed!
