I ordered a game off the website. Money was taken but no confirmation email was sent and a week later no item delivered. I sent them 2 messages through their website contact system to no avail. I eventually had to raise a PayPal dispute. Eventually my money was refunded buy no contact from square to advise what had gone wrong or make good on the item I had purchased which was no longer available. Shocking service.

Ich hatte aufgrund der vielen negativen Bewertungen.meine Befürchtungen, dass mein Spiel nicht mehr ankommt. Hatte Guardian of the Galaxy vorbestellt. Als nicht registrierer Benutzer. Square-Enix.. you guys suck. Every time I try to play a square enix game it offers the log in with the account. I attempt it and every time it throws the suspicious activity flag and locks my account even with the information being 100% correct. It’s pointless even trying to play any of your games when all you do is automatically throw the suspicious activity flag because someone dares to log into multiple games of yours.
Don’t waste your time with this garbage company. They give you the lift the restriction option of resetting your password, reset your password, go to log in again only to get the suspicious activity flag.. again.

Also der Support ist sowas von Müll, nach nem Zeitbann, wo ich nichtmal ne Email bekam, warum wieso weshalb und wie lange dieser geht und nach 1000 mal hin und herschreiben, dass ich eine email bekommen hätte und nein dass habe ich nicht, habe ich mich des letzteren dazu entschlossen, noch eine woche abzuwarten, bis Square Enix einen Kunden weniger hat. Zumal mir im nachhinein vom Support gesagt wurde, dass ein Zeitbann in der Regel 7 Tage dauert, der jetzt vorbei ist und ich immer noch nicht ins Spiel rein komme.

Today October 19th 2021, Square Enix decided to force all players who own Tomb Raider (2013), Rise of the Tomb Raider (2016) and Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018) on steam, to now have a mandatory Epic Account to be able to play the game. If you refuse to do this, you cannot play the game at all. This is a spit in the face for every customer that purchased these games. How they are able to do this is beyond me, as these games are years old. I have already contacted the ACCC as this would also be a breach of Australian Industry Standards. I refuse to be bullied into a situation i never signed up for. Myself like most players, would not have bought these games knowing you would be forced into a situation like this. Poor form Square Enix, very poor form.

The website lets me login.. FFXIV does not. I request a password reset and the email I receive says the email (I just used to login with) 'does not exist'.. You only get one chance to fix this stupid bug once every 24 hours - 'We have already sent a code to this email, try again in 24 hours'.. Absolute garbage. I'll be going with another MMO

Square Enix is another money oriented company that should be punished for promoting broken games such as Outriders or Avengers. I will never buy a game published by SE let alone developed by useless People Can Fly. Fortunately Xbox Pass saved me, but I'm still feeling robbed by paying a pound for a month to give it a go hoping the things might get better. No dedicated servers, thousands of bugs, connections errors, yeah, this is how I feel about them, apparently the cooperation between them seems very fruitful! At least customer support is responsive to my surprise however all reported bugs remain in the game so far or in better case they just occur less often. Pathetic...

Broken in a unique and awful way, I would strongly recommend you never use this site to buy anything. Yes, I mean *anything*.
This website is a special kind of broken that I have not seen or had to deal with in literal years. On both Safari and Microsoft Edge it is broken, on Opera it is broken, on Firefox it is broken, on several other niche browsers it is broken... on Google Chrome, I've heard tell of people getting it to work.
On every other browser I've tried and used, this website simply does not load. And when it does load, it doesn't work properly. The checkout in particular is a unique kind of cyclical hell, leading me to strongly recommend that you never attempt to buy anything on this site. If you, by some miracle of god get the purchase to go through, lord knows if you'll even get to download what you purchased or if all that money you spent will be sent into the abyss.
Worst customer service i encountered
Every Week i get 1 response, that they are really really sorry, that it takes long. After that, they ask me for account information, that i already provided. 2 weeks later, they ask me, they can do the thing i have problems with, but without the playtime transfer, so am i sure?.... the playtime of 30 days expired during the their answer...I think they are trolling me. It is been over a month now, and i am still waiting... Worst customer service, i have ever encountered.
They really should switch to an other support team or hire more people, but i think even with a 1.2 Star rating of 5 they don't give a damn. The priorities lay elsewhere.

Wer als Spieler von Final Fantasy XIV Hilfe vom Support erwartet, wird leider sehr bald merken, dass Square Enix sich nicht im geringsten für zahlende Kunden interessiert. Das einzige was für die EU Spieler angeboten wird, ist das Ticketsystem, das ignoriert wird. Hotline und Livechat existieren nicht. Ich warte jetzt seit einem Monat auf Hilfe und nichts passiert. Noch nie habe ich einen so erbärmlichen Kundenservice erlebt. Aber mein Geld nehmen sie.

Thought I'd try out FF XIV but I had not logged into square enix in quite some time. When I went to reset my password, no code came through. Tried a second time and a code came through, but it failed, just error. Now I am temporarily suspended from my account for suspicious activity. I guess me trying to login and using the code they provided is "suspicious". I haven't even gotten to the game yet and have decided Blizzard is waaay better.
Square Enix Infamy strikes again
Square Enix is well known for its horrible costumer support. Today I tried to pre-order the expansion to the FFXIV game, a game that has a lot of players around the globe mind you, but it is literally impossible to make the purchase due to the "internal error" problem. I looked it up on google and turns out they've had that issue since at least 2015 but apparently never gave a damn about it cuz it never got fixed. Really turns me off to the whole idea of forking over any more money their way. Fix your damn site SE.

Month long runaround with no end in sight
Purchased FFXIV on 7/18. Requested a refund on 8/4 - within the 30 day period. Did not receive a response back until 8/10 requesting more info. Provided more info, received a response on 8/14 saying I was in the wrong support system and was directed to a new support site...except it seems to be the same URL as the one where I initially submitted the ticket.
I am getting the run around, I think. I've supplied order #, account #, email, date of purchase, etc. All the information they need to find my order is there, but they can't even figure out how to look for it?
Square Enix is making me think Comcast support is competent. This is ridiculous. 9
Abysmal Costumer Service
My FFXIV account got suspended. I didn't receive any notification e-mail from Square Enix on the nature of the suspension, so I contacted the support to ask them what was up. Eventually I figured out on my own that my account got compromised because I was stupid enough to fall for a pishing website.
After three days I went to check the status of my ticket to find it marked as "resolved". They closed my ticket without responding!! After that I submitted two more tickets, which also got closed almost immediately. I was so fed up that I tried contacting the Japanese costumer service instead, they replied on the same day, but couldn't help me since my account region is EU.
I tried contacting EU support again. Stating everything in detail. Told them I changed my password and installed the security token.
This time my ticket stayed up, but only for them to send me an automated message a week later asking me to change my password and consider installing the security token and then contact them again.
It's again been a week since then, my account is still banned. It's ridiculous that they then cannot even refund you the month you PAYED and LOST due to their abysmal costumer service!! Someone please tell Yoshi P to go and fix that next smh. What a joke...
