Been trying to get a refund for a preorder I placed in 2021 for months now since they never actually shipped it out, due to the fact that when I actually placed my preorder, I placed it in their EU shop, since the UK was still in the EU back then and the dedicated GB site didn't actually exist. They never bothered to notify me, or refund me about the fact that they were never going to ship the item in teh first place, until I actually complained... That was months ago, still no refund, despite exchanging a dozen or so emails up to now...
One of the worst companies to deal with
Terrible Customer Service people literally ignore your calls or refuse to acknowledged replies to emails I have never been so insulted as a paying customer with such a lack of service. I wanted to pay the entry sub for FFXIV but for some reason my card is being blocked on their system the same one I have used for years then they want me to use their more pricey standard sub to pay for a month without any compensation, game cards which I refuse to buy online or their crysta scam which I hear folks have had problems with bah!

Absolutely atrocious customer service for the gear store.
After months of communication, identity checks and bunch of false promises, I still have NOT received my refund for a lost item.
While I was in contact with a polite and informative person through email, it didn't lead to anything else than stalling and incorrect treatment towards me, the customer.
Stay away from this company at all costs.
(If the issue will be resolved in the future, I will adjust my review accordingly)
Edit: After 7-8 months, I got the refund. +1 star.

The email thread started on June 21st, Final Fantasy Dimensions has a minigame called Breakdown Dimensions which crashes on Android.
I let them know so they can fix it, I share a video with the crash, they went through the standard process of asking me to reinstall, check my wifi which is fine I guess.
But then they started asking ME to keep testing their random solutions that did not work, then I told them they did not work, and I keep sharing more videos. They answered me back that they don't receive attachments and I had to send it to an alternate email which means they completely ignored my first video and they didn't even care to notify me or check it. In the end they "acknowledge" the problem and they don't provide an estimate for a solution, just to check the news. Every single email had apologies but none of them had actual solutions.
This back and forth took until July 20th, without a solution, just a "stay tuned somewhere for the fix" after I performed all their QA.

1 mail par jours. Je vous explique. J'envoie un mail pour dire que ça marche pas et je dois attendre 1 mail dans la journée. Mail envoyé le matin. Mon problème, toujours pas résolu, traine depuis 1 semaine et plus aucune réponse.

Fast jedes Jahr löschen sie alle Bestellungen zusammen mit den Rechnungen, whislisten, punkten und täten so als ob der Kunde nie Kunde war!
Für dieses unternehmen ist es lächerlich und sie sollten sich schämen für diese Betrugsmasche.
Als Jahrelanger fan hab ich es satt und werde sie bezüglich Merchandise nie wieder unterstützen!
Worst Support experience...
Had the worst support experience ever with any customer service I've encountered so far. They asked me multiple times (which took over two weeks btw) if I really wanted to unlink my Square Enix account from Steam. I had already mentioned in my first contact email to unlink it so I could use a new square enix account on Steam. At the end of it all, they sent me a link that required filling out some information to disconnect the account (which could also take up to one week). Why not send this instead of asking me multiple times if i want to really unlink my accounts and letting me wait 2 weeks?
Mind Boggling
Wow, I got Shadow of a Tomb Raider. In the opening scene, my computer would not work to make a simple jump (W key + Space key). I searched online but was unable to find anything for this glitch. I attempted to contact these people because apparently making an account is the only way they will talk to you. (nothing like ANOTHER USELESS ACCOUNT, to be used 1 time a year). Ok, so I decided I would actually make the account. After no less than 15 attempts I gave up. Each time there was some (undeterminable) problem with either the name or pw or email or my pets name or some such BS. I finally gave up on this debacle, if I can't even ask a SIMPLE QUESTION without wasting an hour + of my life they can kiss my (body part). It is easier to just never buy another product that they sell or develop. Amazing how poor so many of these companies are at respecting customers (& potential customers) time and actually having any semblance of Customer Service. It is all just talk, they all treat customers like dirt.

There is no customer support they don't care what customers think even when they knowingly put out things that don't help players and intentionally make it harder for players to win games. Then they scam players and force them to spend money ALOT of money just to advance one level then the cycle repeats. This company is nothing but a bunch of greedy scammes and should be boycotted and bankrupt.

After they moved to the new website it's impossible to track previously passed orders. I pre-ordered a blu-ray and got billed 80 € when it was released 2 weeks ago but I haven't received any news about the shipping. I tried to contact their customer service 5 times but only got a reply ONCE which told me that I would receive an update within a week (and it turned out to be a lie). The rest of the time my cases were just closed without any response. How laughable it is that they don't even care to reply to my simple question WHERE IS MY ORDER.
I will not order anything from them anymore. Bunch of THIEVES.

Don't listen to fans make brainless beat em ups. Destroyed final fantasy 7 and had the cheek to try and sell it back to us in parts 🖕 square enix. I encourage everyone not to buy any of there products until they listen to the fan base and get there act together.
Bezahlte Vorbestellung nicht geliefert
Ich habe einen Artikel vorbestellt und bei der Bestellung sofort bezahlt. Voraussichtliches Releasedatum war April 2023. Seit min. Mitte April stand auf der Artikelseite "Warteliste", weswegen ich den Kundenservice kontaktierte. Dieser teilte mir nur mit, dass der Artikel mittlerweile nicht mehr verfügbar ist und man mir nicht sagen könnte, wann der Artikel wieder verfügbar ist. Mittlerweile ist der Artikel nicht mehr gelistet.
Auf eine erneute Anfrage im Mai, wurde mir wieder nur gesagt, dass der Artikel immer noch nicht verfügbar ist.
Die Antwortzeiten waren gut, die Hilfsbereitschaft zur Problemlösung leider nicht.
Mittlerweile hat Square ihre Webseite überarbeitet, sodass meine Bestellungen nicht mehr für mich einsehbar sind.
Scratches on item and they won’t refund me
I ordered an item. The steelbook had scratches on it and I demanded a refund and they told me I have to pay shipping costs. Makes no sense. I paid so much for the item and it was damaged and they told me I can’t get a refund. Not only that I’ve tried to contact them over 10 times only for them to keep playing games and referring me to somebody else saying that they can’t sort it out. Rubbish company I will never buy again and I want my refund
Beschädigte Ware erhalten
Ich habe ein PS5 Spiel bestellt und die Ware kam beschädigt an. Ich hatte die Option das Spiel auf eigene Kosten zurück zu schicken oder einen kleinen Gutschein für die nächste Bestellung, d.h. ich soll noch mehr Geld für beschädigte Waren ausgeben. Leider kann ich den Shop nicht empfehlen, obwohl ich die Spiele selbst sehr mag...schade.
