I bought a painting yesterday but when I went to collect there was a scratch on it. I was dissapointed at first but South Dublin Auction repaired the painting to an excellent condition and also gave me another painting for free. I never asked for the extra painting but I was delighted to receive

Once again an auction (24/08) of items that allegedly were lost....... yet miraculously re-appear weeks later.... warning to any seller get a consignment/receipt note. This lot give auctioneers a bad name.

Recently purchased a few pieces of gaming equipment for significantly cheaper than in store. Collection was easy as well, just gave them a heads up on the time I was dropping by and everything was ready and waiting for me.

Absolutely fantastic experience with this auction house. The staff were knowledgeable, professional, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Bidding was smooth, and the items were exactly as described. Highly recommend for both buyers and sellers – truly top class!

Excellent experience, simple to navigate and great bargains to be found

I applied to bid in the timed auction that’s finishing today. I received an emailed reply from South Dublin Auction that told me to contact them directly. However they haven’t responded to my emails nor answered their phone. So I can’t bid and a seller will get a lower price for their item than I would have paid!

The payment process and website were fine, but I bought a set of Apple-packaged devices and was disappointed to find they were not original, even though they were priced like genuine products.

When I picked them up, the receptionists quickly pointed out there was no Apple logo and said they weren’t responsible. I understand they have to protect themselves, but selling items like this is really misleading and leaves a bad impression.

Be careful and double-check before buying. I wouldn’t recommend it.

AVOID, buy with a huge amount of questions despite their description.
Something described as Crystal, but in fact all plastic.
I suggest avoid this auction house at your peril.
DISHONEST, best describes them.

I left a load of stuff in for auction, some of the valuable bits seem to have disappeared as they never appeared in the auction and having requested that they be given back to me, I am now told that they were donated to charity, which is bullshit. I have been in communication with them continuously, they were underpaying me, charging me commission on items they had not sold, they are literally impossible to deal with. My experience is that their aim is to rid off the customer at every step. The owner Ross is the single most obnoxious and rude man I have ever had the misfortune to have dealings with. I completely distrust this company, they clearly don't care about ripping off customers and the owner is so extremely rude and obnoxious. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!

Shocking communication. They dump all our stuff that they didn't sell while not responding to our emails. A very frustrating and upsetting experience.
They didn't include everything in the auction even though it had value and not until we followed up and mentioned certain pieces were they then added. I wouldn't trust this business with anything precious or that would have value, personal or monetary.

This auction house resold items up to the value of 200 euros which they said i did not collect on time this was wrong as i sent a courrier up on time who said he was treated rudely and told to go away ...
I tried to plead with them to no avail....they wrre rude and intransigent...and although they have good auctions ...steer clear of them...they are an ignorant shower of .....

I submitted 7 lots for sale which they accepted, only five appeared on site. When I enquired they said ‘not enough auction value on those’, they had never told me this. They said’ collect them next time you’re passing’, with no specific timeframe.
When I went to collect payment on my goods sold, and retrieve my unsaleable goods, only three of five items sold was on invoice, they reviewed this and found one item they omitted in my payment and said the other was unsold.
When I asked about retrieving my items not put up for auction and the unsold one, they informed me that there was a 7 day period for this which I had missed. I said no one had told me this at any point, at which they repeated “Terms and Conditions” ad nauseam.
Having accepted two lots from me to be put up for sale and then deciding not to sell them, I should have been informed of this, with instructions to collect, as they were no longer under their sale terms and conditions.
It is my belief they are a bunch of unprofessional, opportunistic chancers. I would advise people not to sell through them.

Very poor communication, difficult to contact. Did not send a tracking number and did not notify me when item was returned to sender. Did not respond to emails, had to call multiple times per week over the course of two weeks for them to actually pick up.

They sent the item to the wrong address, then tried to cover it up. Employees were courteous, but manager was rude. Refused to pay for re-postage of the item until I threatened a chargeback.

Overall a very poor experience, I would avoid if you plan on having the item posted instead of picking it up.

I personally have not had any issues here after over 4 years of buying.
We have bought some very nice items at a very fair price. Again, for me, everyone has been helpful.
A special mention to the hard working and friendly warehouse staff and especially John and hos young female colleague.
